Chapter Nineteen- The Examination~

Min stood by the side calling the students names while Kaoru and the others coordinated and supervised them.

Mr. Kenji Genji (The older male’s name) took the students hands and examined them, he had the ability to detect aura and manipulate it to a certain extent so he could detect the nature of one’s ability through its aura.

This ability made it so that he was very sensitive to spiritual energy and could detect which type it is by concentrating and sensing it, he also had the ability to manipulate a person’s aura to his own.

A person’s aura depicts a person’s ability, it is a unique characteristic used to identify a person, whilst sometimes auras are very likely to resemble especially those of the same power it always had something to differentiate it from the other.

Kenji might not have very strong lethal attack powers, his ability to alter or manipulate auras were utterly deadly, an aura not only represents the unique identity of a person’s ability, it also shows how a person’s spiritual energy acts.

An example is if you’re a fire ability user, channeling your spiritual energy and converging it to form a ball to shoot at someone, the power’s ability shows your spiritual energy gathering your powers together, if a person can manipulate your aura it means he can also alter the action of the spiritual energy.

Even if you’re in ’control’ of your spiritual energy, you’d not be in control of its action, it's like a misbehaving mouse, even though you're in control, it still moves around hazardously acting on its own,

Albeit converging your fire ability to make a ball, you wouldn’t be in control of the ball again as you’re not in control of your spiritual energy, as the aura manipulator has taken control of it from you.

So in a simple way, an aura manipulator is a person who can take the control of your magic right from your hands, the only disadvantage being that if the ability controller has more control over his power, he can overcome the manipulator, if not, he loses.

Aura manipulation also had other uses like using it to identify a person or even his ability, to detect an ability user e.t.c.

To avoid taking all day as the students were large, Ryuu and his group was given a ‘convergem’(a gem used to hold abilities and energies inside) and a ‘venglove’ (a glove with the capacity to use stored energy of any sort).

Mr. Kenji had stored some of his ability in the gem and gave it to them and with the help of the venglove they were able use the stored ability, making the work of scrutinizing the students easier.

As min’s team predicted, the students were all flushed while being examined, it couldn’t be helped, Ryuu and his group were devastatingly beautiful that it put everyone’s fragile heart at stake especially the outsiders who weren’t usually exposed to this kind of lethal beauty.

Momoko had everyone in her group so charmed they all seemed to have love bubbles in their eyes, the girls were all clamoring around her why the boys were a mess on their own, well, the regulators were there to the rescue!

And so asahi and aki used really REALLY strenuous efforts to get the students to behave.

Nobu was easygoing and seemed excellent in handling these kinds of situations well, even though the students were also clamoring around him he managed to control them flawlessly.

As for kane, the students knew better than to disturb this cold beauty whose beauty was only second to ryuu,

The aura around him were like blue flames, scorching like flames yet as freezing as ice, very unique and screamed danger all over;

They were smart enough not to clamor around him, even a sound was barely heard from them, they could only admire the menacing beauty from afar.

Mr. Kenji had his group quite well behaved, maybe because of his stern face or how everything about him screamed orderly, the students had to succumb but that didn’t stop them from admiring his handsomeness.

And last but most troublesome, Ryuu, this playboy was at it again, he wasn’t even trying yet any slight move of his could cause the students squealing, even the boys were hopelessly fallen for his charm.

The bastard wasn’t even helping matters, he would sometimes smile at the students even though he knew his smile was literally a death weapon, a girl who was unlucky enough to face it, fell backwards and fainted.

After about five students fainted because of him, Mr. Kenji decided to call it a day for him, sending him to the back of the podium.

Behind the podium, min and kaoru who were given a break was chatting about random things, they were excused by their team who insisted they could handle the examination matters,

Min was as tired as heck and after two hypocritical protests stood down in fear of her team suddenly changing their mind, because if they did, hehe, all her frustrations were sure to burst out there and then.

Min was happy, due to the anxiety and stress to impress this guys she couldn’t sleep last night, but in the end their goal was fulfilled,

Seeing the older man look around the school and arrangement of everything with a pleased look, this at least calmed down her anxiety.

Sticking to kaoru and avoiding any knowing and unknowing contact from Ryuu who was sitting by the side and boring a hole through her head, she was hoping he wouldn’t approach…

And…….. he’s approaching, Excellent.

‘Crap, he’s approaching. I don't wanna be greeted……’

Min stood up while fake laughing and said to kaoru-

“Kaoru, I think I need to…, eh?”

“Min!!” kaoru suddenly hopped up like a bunny to catch the falling min but since their distance was a bit far min ended up falling to the ground anyways.

Min whose expression had now changed from a laughing one to a ‘WTF, is going on' look was now laying on the floor with blurring vision, the only thing that went through her mind was-

‘????????????????!’

It was the situation where you don’t even know what happened to you until someone told it to you, that was what happened to Min.

Before Ryuu could come any close, Kaoru had picked up Min in a princess carry and rushed to the clinic worried…, it seemed that Itsuki temporary prefect wasn’t going to be appearing for Ryuu's group ending speech and farewell….

Min wanted to cry, she really did, this wasn’t her, she wasn’t some fragile rose to collapse due to stress, it was actually THIS FUCKING SYSTEM OF HERS.

Min: System, get your metallic ass right here for some smacking!! (ﾉꐦ ⊙曲ఠ)ﾉ彡┻━┻

System: You’re the one who said you wanted a medicine to help improve your mood, this is why taking mood drugs isn’t good.

Min: How the fuck did the syrup I take to avoid launching on someone turn me to this???? Eh GENIUS?

System: It works on your nerve system, af….

Min: Speak English, I have no time for Biology!!

System: Fine, it basically cools down everything in your body and with your stress and everything, it was kinda normal it totally knocked you down.

Min: Why wasn’t I told when I bought it?

Min: System?

System: ………………………………….

Min: System~ ψ(*｀ー´)ψ

System: I’m sorry I forgot

Min: Oh, oh, you did? Wow~ how splendid~

System: You’re scaring me min QAQ

Min: Honey, let’s discuss PRIVATELY when all this is over, okay?

System: I….I…. QAQ

Min: Yes?

System: okay…. (In a deflated balloon voice)

Min: GOOD

System: (sits one side while growing mushrooms)

Ryuu stared at this outsider girl and then her sister. Her sister was really worried about her, but what was it with this outsider? He tried to peer into her spiritual energy but was blocked… and it was ancient magic.

As the heir to an ancient seclusive clan, he was taught a lot of things…., actually it was him going around learning things since he had a photogenic mind, hehe, which is quite handy by the way.

The magic was in its purest form, more pure than any one he had seen before, even more than his grand dad’s…. then what was such pure magic in the mind and soul of an outsider? Preventing anyone from invading? It could only mean one thing.

Dabin min was a reincarnation of an ancient god or goddess…., just like him. Thinking of this possibility he became more excited to know more about this kid.

“Hey perv, it’s time for our closing speech, they found a replacement for the kid and stopped giving her those….. eyes….”

Momoko, who had appeared out of nowhere, told Ryuu who was holding Min’s hand and giving off a happy glow as if he had found his soul mate.

Ryuu gently held Min's hand and left with Momoko, Kaoru had already left to join the gathering.

Min: (sleep talking) Oh yeah~ mama, get in where you belong to~

System: If this isn’t blackmail material, what is? ⁞⁝•ֱ̀ ␣̍ •́⁝⁞

Everything else was a success, no evil or unusual energy was detected from any school student, everyone had been checked… except min.

“What do you mean you want it to be confidential to only you? Why?” The older male was not happy.

“Reasons Mr. Kenji, I beg of you to pardon my impudence this time, I’ll take all responsibility if anything happens due to this particular decision” Ryuu bowed and pleaded in a low tone

Mr. Kenji considered, ryuu kurio this snubby brat was genuinely pleading with him…., it made him want to know more about what this girl had in her, but due to acquaintancy certain things were sometimes let go.

Glancing at the girl on the hospital bed sleeping soundly, he muttered a ‘let’s go’ and they all left… except Ryuu, who wanted to say a few things to his sister.

“Who asked each other to be friends?” ryuu sat on the bench while throwing a stone into the little stream in kaoru’s yard

“Me! She’s the first ever friend that I genuinely ever wanted” kaoru said proudly with puffed out chest

“I see, you know mom won’t accept her as she is weak, right?” ryuu asked as he smiled dotingly at kaoru and ruffled her fluffy hair

“Min will get stronger, I know it! She has the potential!” Kaoru said, throwing a stone just like Ryuu did before into the stream, ignoring the mischievous hand on her hair that was scattering it.

“Why do you say so?” Ryuu said while enjoying the feel of Kaoru’s hair in his hand.

“It’s because, the first time I saw her, I always had the feeling she was special…. And also because a person who can tame me can’t be any less weaker than a dragon, aren’t I a kurio? A normal person won’t be able to tame me, Min is a sleeping monster, she’s not serious in awakening, just slouching around, but don’t worry I’ll force her awake” kaoru said with a faint smile

** Kaoru is saying that min was able to be her friend and also ‘handle’ her which was things others seemed unable to do

“How?” Ryuu was very into this conversation, it was rare to see her sister this serious, and when she was she doesn’t speaks gibberish

“Her pride,” Kaoru said with a smirk while facing Ryuu and pulling his hair, seemingly having enough of his annoying hands.

“Hmmm” ryuu sighed helplessly before releasing his hands from kaoru’s hair and indicated for her to continue.

“Min has a pride as high as the heavens even though she is very collected…., she needs someone to be able to trample that pride and I know just the one” Kaoru was pleased and released ryuu’s hair then picked up a few stones and seemed like she was ready to play with them.

Kaoru said with a smirk while looking at her brother who immediately understood where she was heading to.

“Oh~ little sis aren’t you bad!” ryuu exclaimed while nudging kaoru’s hand earning him a slap on the head

“Learnt it from you though” kaoru said while playfully pouting

“Hehe…” ryuu chuckled evilly then suddenly flicked kaoru’s forehead which got him a hot chase from her, they ran around the yard until kaoru somehow cornered ryuu around the stream side then pushed him into the stream but got she pulled along and they ended up in the stream and started another round of playing.

Few minutes later when Ryuu was about to leave, Mrs. Kyu approached him.

“Young man, Mr. James told me you personally checked on Min, I know this kid isn’t normal but…. Is she okay?” Mrs. Kyu asked worriedly

“You’re right ma'am she isn’t normal, but some things are personal you know, but be rest assured, Dabin Min is okay” he replied with an assuring smile

“Thank you and rest assured I’ll give her the space she needs” Mrs. Kyu said with an amiable smile on her pretty face

“Oh and ma’am?” Ryuu, who was about to leave, suddenly paused and beckoned to Mrs. Kyu

“Yes?” Mrs. Kyu asked looking very ready to assist

“Tell Dabin Min she owes me…. BIG TIME” ryuu said with a smirk then left

“Sure…..?” Mrs. Kyu answered puzzlingly at the departing boy

And Ryuu Kurio finally left~

Min: (Already awake) I feel like I’m in for some BIIIGGGGG TROUBLE, Forgetting that………..Oh! System, hehe, let’s have a discussion~

System: (Sweat Drops) Trai…nee you just woke up you should rest….

Min: Don’t worry i'm fine~ come here~ (Approaches system)

System: Kyaaa!!!!!
