Chapter Twelve- It’s called a ‘back to school’ prank

The last few days passed on with min doing various quests and trying to learn the wind magic stored in the crystal, but no matter how she tried, she couldn't learn the ability,

She debated about watching lesson tutorials but then her points, min ended up buying the lessons, since she had no choice.

"So each ability has a unique pattern flow of spiritual energy and each flow requires a particular pattern to be able to flow,

Which is the reason why a person without a particular pattern can't use that ability unless in special cases where his/her pattern creates another pattern or mutates into another pattern.

With this theory, it means I have all these patterns in me, hm system?"

"Indeed trainee"

Min played another video and jisei-shin's calm tenor voice and gentle smile came on screen, min thought that jisei-shin's voice was strangely calming, and considered that her powers was probably related to calmness.

Jisei-shin calmly explained the way to control the flow of spiritual energy in order to activate the wind ability—

"To activate your powers it is important to know:

                  The position of your ability pattern

                  The amount of spiritual energy

iii.                  The way to regulate the flow of spiritual energy into the pattern

Knowing the position of your ability pattern makes it easier to send spiritual energy to it. Your ability pattern takes care of regulating the special flow of spiritual energy around your body to allow you to use your ability.

Now the amount of spiritual energy you allow into the pattern matters a lot and differs, for mild power users like wind, water e.t.c

The average amount is mostly 50-55%, destructive powers are around 60-75%, while special powers vary differently.

Each level has its own limit and whoever crosses the limit is put into danger by his/her own power.

Finally, the last factor and the hardest of them all is the way to regulate the spiritual energy, some come in shapes, runes e.t.c, others need a special method for it which you'll have to find…

Tips on how to find it:

                  Enter a meditative state and let spiritual energy flow to your pattern, in meditation connecting to your spirituality, try to observe the rules your spiritual energy follows to flow

                Enquire help from an expert to observe and tell you, but this is dangerous as it is not right for someone else to see your pattern for various safety reasons

Min 'hmmed’ and played the next video about meditative state, following the instruction she went into a meditation connecting to her spirituality…

"Do you think she can handle it?" kokishin asked atama-I worriedly

"Yes, she doesn't remember anyway, it'll only make her a bit sad but it's not escapable"

Min opened her eyes and looked back only to see a screen like projection.

"System? System? so they really did desert me here, how mean"

She looked at the projection and felt a dull pain in her mind, she stared at it, then just plainly touched it, her hands passed through it but that seemed to trigger the projection to play.

When it started, she saw a beautiful young girl with silver-grey hair and eyes, she had round eyes like min and she was giggling while a woman with silver hair but beautiful blue-green eyes lovingly pinched her cheeks—

"Saku-chan you're always cute, want mama to show you a secret?"

Saku's silver eyes glowed in curiosity and she jumped up while screaming—

"Yes mama"

Her mum smiled and placed her hand on saku's chest closing her eyes, the next minute saku was brought into her spirituality, she opened her eyes and saw a quarter-moon shaped black hole, 

Maliciously unique, it's dark glow, its wild energy and its aura that released endless greed seemingly wanting to suck all things in, its wicked beauty was eerily gorgeous and luring, saku would have fallen in if not for the tight grip her mum had her hands in.

She looked up to her mum looking wronged but her expression changed, anxiety and curiosity clearly written on her small pale face, her round eyes squinted slightly as if to check something.

The expression on her mother's face was not quite right, it was a mixture of pity, remorse and great pain, even the death grip her mum was holding confirmed her suspicion.

'Why does mama look kinda........scared?'

"Mama?"

"Saku, never, never, I beg you….don't say a word about this..." She kept on muttering this while shivering, her shaky hands held little saku in a tight hug and her body's quiver was unmistakable.

Saku was a bit scared, mama was acting really weird and she was scared!, mama is never scared, what could have happened?

She was anxious and curious but seeing her mum's condition she dared not ask, only hugging her mum tightly and solemnly.

"Never mention this to anyone okay?"

"Why mama? It's ev.........."

"it's for your safety, remember mama loves you very, VERY much"

"Yes mama"

Min who was looking at the screen suddenly woke from her meditation with a start. Her pupils had shrunk, her body was shivering tremendously and her head was throbbing so loud that Min's hearing was filled with only the sound.

Tears ran down her cheeks as her body swayed, falling on the floor she had a very strange thought before passing out…

'If only I had listened to her, It wouldn't have been like this…'

She passed out drenched with sweat and looking so pale to a frightening level, even the blood on her lips was drained making them light peach than the normal red, she looked exceedingly pitiful.

FEW HOURS LATER~

Min woke up unsure of what happened and completely forgetting what she saw, she could only remember that her spiritual energy regulation was to completely devour spiritual energy like a black hole and use it to create magical abilities which made it easier as it didn't need regulation, only to let it devour.

And she was also not allowed to let anyone see it, every other thing was completely forgotten.

'I feel like i'm forgetting something very important'

Meanwhile....

"She forgot the memory! Is something wrong atama-i?" Kokishin asked with confused and anxious eyes

"No, it seems that due to her current level, the memories can't be unlocked, Its normal, even saro took a long time to be able to unlock those memories too" Atama-I answered while sipping off her hot tea

"*Sigh* I personally think it's better if she doesn't unlock it now, those memories will bring more harm than good, you know?"

"I suppose"

Later on, with more practice min's could fairly control her wind ability, the shock Mrs. Kyu experienced when she saw min using her powers without assistance made her bulge her eyes;

For nobles it was possible but for an outsider,

She stared at min suspiciously, min could only avoid her gaze while sneakily hiding the shattered remains of the crystal.

Finally, the outsiders were allowed to start schooling, min appeared in the school hall where the lockers were grouchily,

She was forced to wear this uniform which consisted of a dark green short flare 'skirt' (she wasn't much a fan of skirts), and white short-sleeve shirt with green blazers and a white necktie;

Her hair in a neat bun covering one part of her eye.

She had a bored look on her face, literally screaming— 'Oh, it's hell again'.

Classes were divided into noble and outsider classes, Nobles had their class divided into classes A-E, while Outsiders had theirs divided into classes A-C.

For outsiders, A represented high level and mystic power awakeners like ice, thunder, telekinesis e.t.c,

B for moderate level power awakeners like wind, water, light e.t.c,

And finally C which represented low level power awakeners like improved vision, perception e.t.c.

For nobles, it was divided by fame and power,

A was for high level awakened with high status,

B was for high level awakened with low or moderate status,

C was for moderate level awakened with high status,

D was for moderate level awakened with low or moderate status

And E was for low level awakened with low or moderate status.

Min steadily walked to her class not nervous but extremely bored, she was never a fan of school to begin with, to suddenly start seeing a bunch of annoying kids every five days of the week was not only draining but also mood ruining and boring to her.

She swung the door open with a 'bam!' calling all attention on her, the class faced her,

She was faced with different sets of eyes, blue, green, wait she just saw yellow? Was it caused by an ability? big, small, monolid e.t.c;

She just glanced back at them indifferently before taking a seat in the middle side of the class near the window.

'The view is quite cool from down here…' (They were upstairs in the castle)

A purple haired girl walked up to her and politely asked to sit near her, she only replied with 'en', which made it awkward for the girl, but she sat down anyway.

Min took out a pen with a smirk, she bought a syrup from the system, pouring it into the pen that had turned into a perfume container…

The purple haired girl sitting beside Min fell asleep, and the class all fell into deep sleep one by one, even the ones that were standing and discussing slid down and fell down unconscious.

Min smirked looking at the screen before her--

" *Ding*

'Oh yeah! Her prank discussion rocks! That girl has so many wicked ideas!'

Min was so absorbed in her happiness, she didn't notice the teacher coming in, as a high level magician, the teacher could conceal her presence, so min didn't notice her, although the pen was back to normal there was no explaining to min being the only one awake and her smirking.

'What the hell is going on here, THIS was this girl's doing? Don't tell me we've got another one?

Great!

One a noble from a powerful seclusive clan and another a weird outsider who can knock out a whole group of awakened' the teacher thought depressingly.

It was very awkward, especially for Min, she had never been caught in any of her pranks before and now she had managed to the act out white lotus show for Mrs. Kyu (Kinda?) THIS had to happen…

Awkwardly shuffling she tried to give one of her 'Warmest smiles' and make up random crap to redeem herself.

"Welcome teacher! This…. Em… It's a 'back to school' prank, we do it a lot on earth, soooo…"

Unfortunately the teacher was NOT buying it,

"Young lady, I want to see you after school, understand?" The annoyed female teacher with brown hair and green eyes said in a serious voice.

Min pouted but then nodded, getting caught pranking her entire class on the first day of school... LUCKY HER!.

The teacher raised her hand and activated her spiritual energy, everywhere glowed white and a few seconds later, the students started waking up, they looked really confused but the teacher said nothing and min just calmly faced the window.

After settling down with confusion all over their face, the teacher took her position in front of the class, then started—

"My name is Sachio Agawa and I'm your homeroom teacher, you must be confused as to why you were all on the floor…,

But sometimes certain things are not better left untold.

Anyways, I welcome you all to my class, the B class and hope you have a good high school life in itsuki, make sure to wear your uniform in the right order with your necktie in place too.

Your teachers are 5 in number according to the subjects they teach, this subjects included—

                Beasts class

                Plants studies

iii.                Magic Adaptation

              Combat class

                Social class

Your lessons start around 8 O'clock and end by 3:00 in the afternoon;

Beast classes last for 45 minutes along with Plant studies class, Magic adaptation classes lasts for 2 hours along, before a break period of 45 minutes;

After the break period Is over, you have Combat classes for 2 hours and the last class which is a social class that lasts for 45 minutes before school dismissal…"

The homeroom teacher explained that if they had any issues that she was always there to give in a helping hand,

She went on, asking them to introduce themselves to each other.

"My name is Rina Ahane and I'm Japanese but I lived in America, so my accent isn't really good, please bear with me and take care of me!" A girl with medium-length hair and yellow eyes said

'I remember this girl, she was among the people crying in the plane, at that time she had brown eyes but now her eyes have changed to yellow, maybe a power mutation?

Hehe, it sure will be hard for her explaining how she suddenly decided to wear yellow contact lessons when she gets back…, if she can'  Min thought.

And so they went on introducing themselves—­­

"The name is Jeong dea-hung and I'm a Korean, Nice to meet you all" A boy with black hair and purple eyes said with a smile that made girls melt,

He glanced a bit at min who was staring right at him and winked at her, which min only responded to by raising an eyebrow.

The students all introduced themselves one by one, until it was min's turn, she stood up, her looks made her stand out a lot, as she was beautiful, laid back and gave off a feeling of a lazy cute cat.

She stood up with a bored look, glanced at them and said-

"Dabin Min, 15, Korean, a pleasure to meet you guys"

But what everyone thought was-

'Are you joking? Instead of pleasure, your face shows you want to fling us away from your sight'

Jeong smirked and faced his front without saying anything, he liked min's attitude, the typical rogue type but with cute looks, that was so his type;

He had his sights on her and he would get her.

Min: I feel like an idiot is day-dreaming about the impossible with me

When everyone was done introducing themselves, the homeroom teacher told the class that they were to select a class prefect that would share the duties among them and take care of the class, only coming to her when he/she seriously needed her help, they were given a week to decide.

After the homeroom teacher left, the beast class teacher came in, she had light brown skin and black hair but with gold eyes.

"Hello class, my name is Aiuchi Haruki and I'll be taking you guys on beast classes from today,

But before we start I'll like to make a simple suggestion that'll be convenient for both me and you guys,

Whenever you want to answer/ask a question or when I ask you a question, you say your name before anything,

Like this I'll get to know each and everyone of your names, is everyone in support?"

The class naturally agreed, the teacher was impressed with the class' calmness, being a place far away from home and in the mercy of others but still calm at all, it was quite commendable.

She started her lesson—

"Beasts as you all know are animals from this plane that has stayed for years absorbing spiritual energy making them much more powerful than ones from the 'Normal plane',

Because of this, it is estimated by the Data scientists that a beast here equals ten wild animals on the normal plane…." (Class murmurs)

A blue haired guy with blue eyes and fair skin raised his hand to ask a question-

"Yes?" the teacher patiently asked

"My name is Jack Gerald and my question is , have the scientists put the beasts in comparison to humans on earth? If so, what was estimated?"

"Good question, indeed jack, according to their estimation, a beast here equals to fifteen average humans while for trained militants, based on the fact that they are weaponless and they are best there is, Five of these equals to a beast here,

It is also important to know that certain variables aren't included, do you have another thing confusing you?"

"No and thank you ma" he sits down

"You're welcome. Now beasts can be divided according to their kinds, we have—

      Flying beasts

      Land beasts

      Aquatic beasts

      Plants mutants and

      Irregular Beasts

Flying beasts are beasts that can fly, both does with and without wings as far as they can fly,

They are used for movement and for fighting on air, they are very troublesome especially in a battle as they can swoop in for the attack and then fly off again…"

She placed her hands on the board activating a screen showing a beast with a horn and a bear-like body hanging on the air with eagle like wings and sharp yellow teeth, which scared some people in the classroom while others became excited, min's eyes lit up almost instantly

"This is a C ranked beast called the 'Flying gnawer', its tactic of defeating its enemy is to swoop in and bite the enemy, biting down until it kills its prey.

It is very sensitive and can detect a threat, which makes it tend to avoid deadly enemies…"

She explained that each group of beasts had their special weaknesses in certain places except for irregular beasts that tend to be more mysterious. She showed the class different types of beasts on the board, manipulating the board with magic to create images.

Minutes later, the class ended and another class began.

After the Magic adaptation classes, the students left for break period, min slouched on her chair in class, she didn't have appetite for tasting lame mortal food after tasting the heaven on earth shai cooked even Mrs. Kyu's food was just management.

Mrs. Kyu: Management?! How dare you insult my cooking?! You cheeky brat! I'll get you!

Min: I'm sorry ma QAQ

Min sat on her chair while looking at the evacuating students, Jeong approached her with a smirk on his face as he walked up to her.

"Hey, wanna hang out sometimes?" he asked

"No"

Min blatantly refused him stunning the guy for a while before he smirked, leaning down to min's face which made min move her face back with a frown, he said

"Try me, you won't regret it"

"I have relationship-phobia, so I'll rather pass"

Min rejected again, shoving the guy's face off and staring back at him with bored eyes

The guy sighed looking at her, preparing to leave but suddenly shot in the direction where her left cheek was with a whizz to peck her.

'This will probably make her blush, no girl can refuse a handsome guy being romantic like this, I bet she won't expect this' Jeong thought foolishly

What the guy didn't expect was that min, not flinching, squatted him off like a fly.

Stopping his lips and face by putting a finger on his forehead, she flicked the guy's forehead sending the guy flying and hitting the lockers which ended up attracting the others in the class.

Glaring at the dumbfounded idiot who was rubbing his now swollen forehead she said one word before leaving the class-

"EW"

This stabbed jeong straight at his heart as he watched min leaving the class in disbelief

Jeong: You don't have to say it like that, you've broken my heart! ʕTᴥT ʔ

Min: Do I know you?

Jeong: *Vomiting blood in anger and shock*

Min was very annoyed, she didn't like attention, never did, never will, only for certain purposes would she consider it.

Now she'll probably be the news of the whole class because of that pest…

She walked to the library grumbling,

But then she suddenly stopped, looking at the three girls facing her she had one thought-

'Great! a way to release my anger has appeared!'

She smirked in anticipation of the fun to come.
