When Asher got to the location, he stepped out of his car and made his towards the quiet building.

He knocked the moment he located the number of the door. He was not bothered by the eyes peering at him.

After a moment of knocking, the door creaked open, and an old woman in a wheelchair peered at him with curious, knowing eyes.

Asher glanced behind the woman for any sign of Isabella or his son.

“Yes, who are you and how can I assist you?”

He exhaled softly, as he tried to control his breath. “I am looking for Isabella, the woman who lives here?”

The old woman shifted her face, subtle but telling. She steps aside. Allowing him to come in.

Asher found a child's toy sitting by the corner of the room. He could tell he wasn't mistaken.

“Where is she?” He asked the woman.

“She left a few hours ago and said it was time to go,” she replied.

Asher's heart paused, he couldn't fathom how it happened, some moments ago he got informed of her whereabouts and now he got informed she left, “Where
