“You are safe Ms, Emily. I was asked by my boss to bring you home.”

“Your boss, who is he?” She asked.

Asher’s warning echoed In Vandy’s mind; he wouldn’t want to mess up on his first task. “You will get to know soon.”

He stepped out of the car and helped Emily to the entrance of her apartment. Just as the door opened, Mrs. Deborah rushed out, she was shocked to see her daughter in such a state.

“What happened to her?” She asked. “Emily, are you okay?”

Emily was placed on the couch, she lay there quietly with a pale face.

“What happened to my daughter?” Mrs. Deborah asked.

“Ma’am, it’s a long story, but don’t worry. She will be fine. My boss asked me to bring her home so she could get some rest.” Vandy responded, not wanting to go into full details.

Without further ado, he left the room.

Mrs. Deborah was in a perplexed mood. She hurriedly dialled the doctor’s number and then Edward’s number.
