CHAPTER 2-CHAOS

Everyone is struggling to process the information they just learned. Madame Ofelia looks like she will have a heart attack because of it.

"What?! H-how is that loser going to inherit Dad's wealth? This is ridiculous!!" William protested. He felt like heavens and earth collided because his brother-in-law became the beneficiary.

"Attorney Garcia! This is impossible! Why would Henry inherit the wealth when he knows nothing about our family's business? He's just a burden to our family," Gregory, William's cousin, chimed in.

"Exactly, if anyone deserves the inheritance, it should be William or my son Gregory, who knows how to handle large corporations," Auntie Faustina joined in, hoping to secure some shares as Richard's sister.

"Quiet! I won't allow anyone especially that peasant to become a beneficiary!" William angrily pointed at Henry, who had no idea what was going on.

"Speak up, Henry! Did you plan this to take over our family's wealth?!" William exclaimed.

Henry still couldn't speak, and everyone suspected that he had forged the document.

Even his wife Margaret couldn't understand how it happened, but she knew that Henry wasn't capable of doing such a thing. "Attorney Garcia, can we know how this happened? How did Henry's name end up on it?"

Mr. Garcia took a deep breath before responding, "I'm afraid I can't answer that. That's what's written, Henry Franklin Constantine is the sole beneficiary of Richard Wellington's estate."

The whole family remained shocked. They couldn't believe that their father had left everything to Henry, who wasn't even their blood relative.

"This is f*ck*ng ridiculous! I'm contesting the will!" William slammed the table, startling everyone.

"This is really unfair! We need to investigate this mess," Madame Ofelia spoke up, with anger in her eyes directed at Henry.

Margaret felt scared and didn't want Henry, her husband, to be put in danger. "Mom! You know that I don't care about the money, but I want to tell you that Henry isn't capable of doing this," she defended.

"Don't defend your husband, Margaret. Everyone knows he's a thief, just like his father," William sarcastically remarked. Henry clenched his fist upon hearing about his father.

"Do not mention my father's name here, William. You have no right to insult him," Henry coldly said, feeling the tension rising between them.

Margaret held Henry's arm, feeling his anger, and didn't want him to cause a scene.

"Why are you offended? It's true, Henry! You're not different from your father who is a thief!" William shouted which made Henry rushed towards him and landed a strong punch on his face.

The women screamed in the middle of the trouble as Henry and William fought, acting like children fighting over a toy.

"ENOUGH!!!" Madame Ofelia shouted loudly, causing both of them to stop and being restrained by other family members.

"You're embarrassing yourselves! Mr. Garcia is still here, in front of us," the old lady's head started to ache as she tried to handle the situation. The dining area became chaotic, some food scattered on the floor while other family members left in shock.

"Can everyone please sit down?" Mr. Garcia commanded and gave a forced smile, feeling uncomfortable in his seat.

"Before I leave, I would like to clear something. I know this situation is complicated but I can assure you that the will is legally binding and there has been no forgery. Honestly, I was also surprised because I expected one of his children to inherit, but it's puzzling to see Henry, his son-in-law, written as the beneficiary," he said and then took a sip of water.

The family members gave him heated gazes, making him feel even more uncomfortable in his seat.

"Even if it becomes a conflict between life and death, I will not let us end up with nothing," William threatened, sporting a black eye, his nose was bleeding after Henry's strong punch.

"This isn't over. We're going to fight this, Mr. Garcia," Madame Ofelia was confident that they can take it away from him.

Mr. Garcia smiled once again, looking at everyone before giving Henry a meaningful glance.

"Hmm..I wonder what Richard Wellington was thinking. Why would he leave everything to his son-in-law?" he said, chuckling at his own words.

After the morning's incident, everyone remained at the mansion except for Henry and Margaret, who went to their hotel.

"And what, Margaret? Are you planning to run away with your worthless husband?!" William insulted, not letting what Henry did to him go unnoticed.

"You can't escape from me. You'll have your day. Just wait for it!" William shouted at Henry, giving him a menacing look.

"SHUT UP!! Can you both stop this madness for now!" Margaret had enough of the two hot-headed men, so she pulled her husband away from his cruel brother.

As they walked out through the gate, they were caught off guard by numerous reporters and cameramen waiting to interview Henry.

"Mr. Henry Constantine, is it true that you forged the last will testament?"

"It was discovered that you are the son of the thief, Clifford Constantine. Is this true, Mr. Henry Franklin?" Henry froze in his place, surrounded by reporters who wanted to interview him. He never expected that the media flew to the mansion, bombarding him with hot questions.

News about the Wellington last will quickly spread like a wildfire, and Henry's name became the talk of media outlets.

"Henry, come on!" Margaret was there, rescuing him from the public eye and pulled him inside her car.

"Margaret, what's happening? Why was my name brought up to this?" Disappointment was evident on his face as he's catching his breath.

"I have no idea why is this happening, Henry. I don't know why you were put in this situation either, but if you just listened to me and didn't come to this mansion, this chaos wouldn't have happened!!" Margaret angrily hit the steering wheel.

"Why you always bring chaos to my family?!" she shouted and Henry heavily sighed at the back.
