Chapter 6

In the camp corridoes, Lynn innocent walked with a soldier besides her following his commands. This was after the fight with the beast where they defeated it by using the child as a weapon. At that, time people were silent trying to digest the wrath of the beast and what would happen if the child was absent in the scene. The soldiers who were hurt due to the fight were taken to medication where the once that had died were disposed of because they were all made to be believe the cause that they were fighting for was more important than their life.

The soldier who was directing Lynn back to her prison looked was tired due to the long fight that he was involved. At a corner, Victoria was hiding waiting for the soldier where she say him at a distance. Meeting up with the soldier with her motherly love and afraid to lose her only daughter, she hit the soldier’s neck with her human pressure point knowledge where the soldier immediately fall unconscious on the ground.

Quickly she took her daughter where using the advantage that the soldiers were tired at the time they ran off the premises, where walking out they were shocked to find the premises was located at the centre of a woodland. Victoria strong heart she scanned the forest that she had no clue about it still while she was holding her daughter’s arm that was silent and shocked due to the scene that she was subjected to.

After a moment of scanning the area around her she walked away of the camp confidently as if she knew the way out. At this time, all that Victoria wanted is only to run away from the soldiers’ hands without caring about other dangers that were in the forest. Lynn on the other side followed her mother having that children perspective to their parent grown-ups knows everything.

It was at night when a car stopped beside Victoria’s neighbourhood where Victoria and her daughter walked out while Victoria appreciating to the driver, “Thank you may God bless you.” Being a single mother, she had to hide some of her struggles in life, which made him to have a chat with the driver looking as if she was having the best time of her life at the moment. Lynn who was not able to hide her felling she silently looked at the driver who at the tie was confused by the beauty smile that Victoria was using it to appreciate to him.

“That is nothing,” the driver responded.  Victoria responded, “May God bless you.” Where the man got a perfect time and shoot his shot to Victoria by asking with seductive voice and eyes, “Ok and can I get your number.” She faked a smile to confuse the driver, she already noticed the man was hitting on her and said, “My daughter is here we will meet again.” Then quickly she rushed away preventing the man from flirting her again where she could not rudely reject him after the free lift. She left the man hanging knowing her last words to the driver were impossible because they had meet in a highway that car passing on it were from far distance.   

Walking close to her home, she noticed two men were standing at the doorstep still. And quickly she joined up where she noticed these were soldiers that were sent by General Martin to capture her. As a patient and observer she pulled her daughter where the hide behind a neighbour car and took her moment to fully study the two men.

Lynn broke her mother monotony of gazing to the two men by asking, “Mother why are those guys are standing in our home?” Victoria pulled her face to her daughter and rudely said, “Sh!sh!” trying to think how she will get in the house and the way she had already missed her bed. Lyn who was emotional changed her facial expression where her mother noticed and had to apologise to her baby.

With a calm face, she said to her daughter, “I am sorry for all this that mommy is making you pass through but I promise I will make all this right so don’t worry.” Lynn was touched by her mother’s words where she hugged her mother for comfort. Victoria feeling her daughter feelings she also hugged Lynn back.

The next moment Victoria was standing beside the Good Samaritan driver laying on the driver window. Using her seductive charms which she was faking she asked the driver who was impressed to see her again, “Do you still want my phones number?” Happily, the driver responded,

“How can I decline such an opportunity?”

“Ok first I want a little favour from you.”

The next morning at the city garden where people used to go and have a rest Victoria and her daughter were seated on a sit. Suddenly from a distance Drake approached from a distance rushed to Victoria where he covered her face with a shawl while saying, “You are now wanted they have already made our face public.”

Drake took out his phone and to prove his words that Victoria was wanted, he showing her a video that was broadcasted by one of the famous TV station. She responded to the video, “The want to kill me because of what I saw.”

“You need to hide.”

“No I won’t hide I have always find justice for other this is my time to find mine.”

“For now just hide Victoria it would be risky for you and your daughter.”

“If I don’t do it now no one will fight for my justice all I want is for you to take my daughter to her grandmother.”

“Ok let me take her then we will do this together.”

“No I won’t another life on risk.”

Then she stretch her hand on her right side where she took a bag and handed it over to Drake and said, “We have already talk to her here is her personal needs.” After the words Victoria still as she was covered on the showel she walked away leaving Drake silent hanging.

In the military camp Ben’s statue on a golden medallion. Before the statue, General Martin was standing facing it where behind him soldiers were fully armed prepared for attack. The resent event was devastating for to the soldiers were they found no peace if Ben was around.

General who looked calm over all of them slowly walked to the statue where everybody was in a pause holding breath for a fast move if anything goes wrong. He stopped closer to the statue where he slowly pulled of the medallion and walked back. Immediately the medallion was pulled of magically the statue turned to Ben where he was shocked to find he was pointed by guns all over. This made him scared where he started breathing heavily ready to turn into the beast for self-protection.

General Martin noticed the reaction where he knew the scene would be ugly the next minuet because the beast was unstoppable. He quickly turned to his soldiers who looked shocked where they wanted to attack and said, “Lower your guns and calm down.” The soldier as they were in doubt the slowly lowered their guns where General turned to Ben and calmly said, “Calm down they are not going to attack.”

Immediately Ben noticed the soldiers were no more pointing guns to him, he was secured from the situation where his temper dropped by the heavy breathing lowered. Martin added to lower more Ben’s temper by saying, “All I need is talk with you.” Ben fully convinced by Martin he responded, “Ok!”

General Martin rudely faced his soldiers where they were nearly make the scene dirty again due to their fear. As a soldier, fear is not a thing no matter the situation where the Martin’s soldier seems they were not build to be real soldiers. He ordered them to leave the place at once.

As the soldiers walked away, Martin faced Ben where he stated a conversation still arlat for anything,

“I want to help you.”

“Help me how.”

“I know you Duba, the Kalenjin warrior that you were thought to be a myth. I have been looking for you for many years to help you. I know the thing that you were put inside you without your intentions to for a greater good is like a curse to you it has never let you have a good moment with a person that you love. I saw how that detective lady you protected her..”

Ben disrupted the conversation by quickly asking, “Where is she?” The General knowing the current situation with Victoria where he was the reason off all it he responded calmly to hide it all to prevent things by going ugly, “All I need from you is to trust me and I will help you get rid of this demon in you.”

 Ben fully manipulated by General Martin he responded, “You promise that you will help me?” conversely with innocent face Martin responded, “I promise.”
