Bianca furrowed her brows in concern, wondering what had happened at home. She looked at the patient's guardian and said, "Please excuse me."

She walked out of the ward and called Regina's number but she didn't pick up. Her heart picked up a fast race as she thought of what might have happened to her.

Their last encounter before she left didn't end well. She remembered going back to Regina's room to get her purse which she left behind and heard her say something about been doomed.

She walked in and saw how shocked Regina was. She got suspicious, wondering if she was scared because she said Damien had a lead.

"What is going on? Why are you doomed?" She asked.

"Doomed? I never said that," she argued and tried to smile, but Bianca wasn't foolish. She knew she forced it.

"I clearly heard you say it. Why are you doomed? Because I said Damien had a lead that would prove he is not guilty?" Bianca went on to ask, staring at sister intently.

"Well, that's not it. The truth is, I wanted to u

He asked with his brows furrowed. Regina quickly nodded and sat down before him. "I am tired of that man. He has succeeded in bewitching my family and now, they can't even think straight," she answered, scowling deeply. Mike let out a deep breath and folded his arms against his chest. "Damien?" Mike called from inside. Damien looked at his wristwatch and sighed deeply. He had just a few minutes to get to his meeting with his lawyers. "Yes Mike, it's me," he answered. It took a few minutes before Mike opened the door, smiling nervously. "Williams, what are you doing here this time?"Damien drew his brows, not expecting his question. "Are you busy?" He asked and peeped in. "Or is there someone in there?" Mike glanced over his shoulder and averted his gaze back to Damien. "There is no one in there. Come in," he said and opened the door wide enough. "I guess you have something important to tell me."Damien looked around the office in suspicion, but he found no one. He wondered why Mike looked so tense if there was nobody in the office, but his thought was cut off when Mike said, "Would you like coffee? I mean, this is your first time in my office."Damien drew his brows together, wondering why he was so nice to him. Mike was always the guy who hated acting nice and w

Damien walked into a VIP's room with his hands in his pocket and his eyes fixed on the lady sitting on the bed. He got closer and stared at her without saying a word. "Are you going to keep staring at me? What do you want to say? Just say y now or forever hold your peace," she said with a frown plastered on her face. "What do you think I want to say?" He asked and folded his arms, waiting for an answer. Charlotte smirked and answered, "You can't be cool with everything that happened. I caused a lot of trouble for you and in the end, I still had to rely on you. There would be so much for you to say.""Caused trouble? Yes, you did, but it was never your fault. All you have to do is focus on recovering your body. Even though you are fine now, you need to relax and not think about that. We can talk about it when you are fully recovered," he said and scoffed. "It will, but as long as we come up with a way to clear your name, the scandal will be handled later," she said and let out a deep breath. "Why didn't we think of this before?""Let me finish this call and we talk about it," he said and moved away while she went back in. "Mike, are you still on?" He asked and got a hum on the other end. Bianca stared at her for a few minutes before she averted her gaze to the bags she held. "Where are you going to, Regina?" She asked. "Why do you care?" Regina asked, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice. "Why shouldn't I care? You are with your bags," she looked into the room and saw the emptied wardrobe. "You are leaving this house and you cared not to tell anyone. What is going on with you, Regina?"Regina rolled her eyes and gripped her bag tightly. "Why… what … how could… how could… you think that…" she shuttered and swallowed hard, with her words hanging in her throat. She knew she was doomed. Bianca stared at her curiously but suddenly let out a deep breath and laughed. "Why would I even think you killed the young man? You can't hurt a fly physically. It felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest, but luckily, her sister wasn't able to figure it out."Bianca, I think that is enough talk for today. Damien checked Mrs Legg's vitals for the third time and nodded in satisfaction. She had almost lost her life to a cardiac arrest, but they were able to revive her and her blood pressure was back to normal. He sighed deeply and handed the file to his nurse. "She is all better but would need a lot of rest and comfort," he said and the young lady nodded in response. Damien recalled what she said about people making things hard for her and he frowned. Were they making things for her because of the case? He couldn't come up with a conclusion, but in all, he felt disgusted at the people who dated and made her cry knowing she was going through a lot. He couldn't blame her for her accusations. "What can I do to make you see the truth? What would I do to make you feel even if it's just a little peace?" He wondered and sighed deeply. "Sir, what are you going to do when she wakes up?" Eric who had been standing behind him asked. He went on, "You know she despises this place and will surely

She asked, clenching her jaw. Damien sighed, not surprised by her questions. Even though Eric had told him about her urgency to meet him, he knew she was still going to scold him and let out her hate on him. But, he was ready to accept it all. Allen went back to the library and down to the basement. The door was still open a bit. He let out a deep breath and moved back, going closer to the door to avoid getting captured by the surveillance camera. He brought out two little explosives, which had been with him before he left for the meeting. He had slipped it into his pocket to use it when necessary. He activated it and threw it to the center of the basement. After waiting for a few seconds, it exploded and the building shook. The basement became smokey, blinding the cameras. An easy way to successfully rescue Josh and leave, he thought. He ran into the opened door and just as he had suspected, Josh was chained to a chair in the middle of the room with his mouth covered. "This damn people," he muttered and ran to him. He pulled the tape out of his mouth and Josh breathed out deeply. "You shouldn't be here. This is all a trap. Get out!" He said with his voice laced with panic. "I promise to always protect you and i

The second guard was standing before them, staring at them in horror. He was going to call his partner as he was taking too long and their bosses would soon be out, but he found him unconscious with the woman and a familiar man beside him. "Hey! Who are you two?! What have you done!" He said out, bringing their attention to him. He quickly brought out his gun but before he could point it at them, Mary threw the rod to him and it hit the gun away. Before he could recover, she ran and punched him hard on his face and the next to his chest, rendering him weak. He fell on his knees groaning in pain. "You should never have trusted me," she muttered and wrapped her arm tightly around his neck, to make him unconscious, while Allen went on to undress the other officer. The second guard finally went to sleep and she let him go. "Now, we have our perfect disguises," she said with a smile and made to undress him but Allen held back her hand. She looked at him with her brows drawn to

They both left the car and ran towards the state library. Just when they got closer, Mary suddenly held his hand and dragged him to the alley. "What are you doing? This is our chance to go in," he pointed out, not pleased with her sudden action. "I know we are two and I promised to fight with you, but are you a fool?" She questioned, which made him arch his brows. She never misses a moment to insult him. She went on, "If we go into that library as Allen Scott and Mary Jane, the project Erubus would be informed before we get to them and they will have all the time to escape and plan an attack. We don't even know where exactly they are in the building." Allen signed deeply, knowing she was right. He was going to make a bad decision but lucky enough, she was there to stop him. "So what's your plan? Are we going to disguise to go in?" She nodded. "We have to disguise. That way, we can enter as normal people and figure out what to do and where to go." "Won't it take a lot of time

"Mary?" He called, in shock. "C'mon. We don't have all day. My system is about to shut down!" She yelled out, getting ready to run. Allen nodded and hurried down the stairs. He put his glasses into his pocket and together, they ran into the woods, going as fast as they could. "We need to find a place to hide before the explosion," she pointed out, breathing heavily. "Come with me," he answered and took the next turn. He noticed a pit a few distance away from them and pointed it direction. "There!" They both jumped into the pit and a loud explosion followed next, shaking the ground and bringing everything on its path down. After the explosion, silence followed next with their heavy breathing loud to their ears. Mary Jane sat down and placed her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart. "That was close," she muttered. Allen nodded and sat beside her, trying to steady his breath. She looked at him and asked, "How did you know there was a pit here?" "I took noti

He questioned and looked around for another door. He found an escape door but when he tried opening it, it was locked. "Dang it!" He cursed inwardly and went on to search for another door in desperation. If it was a bomb, the time would be ticking and he knew he had a few minutes to escape or that would be the end. He still had a lot to do. He promised Stephanie that he would be back. He still had to bring down the project Erubus and ruin his father. "I knew something was off," Allen mumbled, bending low to avoid getting hit by the flying bullets. Allen muttered, realizing they had used Josh's phone and knew about the address for their meeting. "Stop the car!" He ordered, taking the driver aback. The driver didn't stop the car at first, thinking he had heard wrongly until Allen repeated himself this time, with fury. He quickly pulled over and Allen stepped out holding a gun. His security officers were so busy with the attackers, that they didn't notice when he stepped out of the car and ran into the woods, trying to use the backdoor.
