The room was left in silence as they all averted their attention to Damien. Dr Mitchell's face was covered in horror and that meant one thing.

"No!" Charlotte cried out loud. "No, you killed him!" She stood up and ran to Damien, grabbing his shirt. "How dare you? Why did you do this? What do you want me to do now he's dead?"

"Please calm down. I wouldn't kill your grandfather," he replied, which didn't sit well with the doctors present.

"He has stopped breathing. I can't feel his purse," Dr Mitchell pointed out. It was something they couldn't prevent, but at least, he was happy he wouldn't be accused of killing him.

He knew his medication had a hand in his death, but Damien would be the one to get punished for it. All he had to do was make everyone turn against the young man.

"He is not dead," Damien answered confidently. He understood their pain, but they were too quick to conclude.
