Bruno glanced at Damien before he proceeded to open the bag. He brought out a bottle and when he saw the name of the content written on it, his eyes stretched open.

"What is it?" Damien asked with curiosity lacing his voice.

"I guess she is not that smart after all. She left a big piece of evidence behind and now, this would be used to bring her down," he answered and gave it to Damien who immediately checked the name too.

"Potassium Chloride," he muttered. "This is it," he looked at Bruno who was smiling proudly. "This was injected into Ethan."

"You know the truth now. It's been revealed right in front of our eyes. The real culprit is none other than your ex-sister-in-law," Bruno answered. He let out a deep breath and pressed back against his seat. "That girl is a smart ass. How was she able to hide for this long? Unfortunately, her luck ran out."

"This is… this is con-" His phone rang, distracting him. He picked it up and took the phone to his ear.

Not only will you lose your precious Damien, but you will lose everything. NOW OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"Bianca wiped her tears and stepped away a bit. "No Regina, I am not going to listen to you. They will take you with them and you will get your deserved punishment.""No, please no, Bianca. You can't do this to me. The cops can't arrest me," she cried, banging the door hard. Bianca shook her head and raised her phone. She swallowed hard and quickly dialed Damien's number. "Bianca, are you alright?" He asked immediately he picked up the call. Damien tried calling Bianca for the fifth time but she didn't pick up, confirming his fears. He averted his gaze to Bruno who was beside him. "Let's move fast. Something terrible must have happened to her," he informed, thinking about what Regina could have done to her. Even though they were sisters, he had a conviction she had done something to her. Bianca has done a lot of things to piss her off. He looked out the window, allowing his mind to wonder about it. They pulled over in front of the estate and he wasted no time in coming out and rushing in. Bianca was nowhere to be found and the door was opened. He needed no one to tell him Regina had found a way to escape and Bianca became her victim. "Bianca!" He called and rushed in. There were broken glasses, and a trail of blood in the living room, which led to the backdoor and it ended there. Damien's heart skipped a beat, realizing Bianca might have been injured. He ran upstairs calling out her name, but got no response. He s

Regina peeped out the servant door and rolled her eyes. Her plan had worked. "Idiots," she muttered laughing out loud. She had easily fooled them and they had no idea. She let out a deep breath and looked at her unconscious sister. "I know you wanted them to take me away, but darling sister, it's not going to be today. I can't get defeated while Damien Williams is walking about freely. If I am going down, he is going down and unfortunately," she cliched her tongue and laughed. "You will be the one to help me bring down your precious darling husband."She walked closer to Bianca and tied her hands well enough. The cops were far gone, leaving a clear space for her escape. As she did after she made Bianca unconscious, she took her hand and dragged her outside the room. She looked around again and when she was sure it was clear, she went on and left the living room. She dragged Bianca out to where her car was parked and put her in the car booth. "Sorry sis, but you deserve this. Becau

Bruno asked, searching around. He signal for his cops to go on. "There would be no need of going," Damien said, and Bruno drew his brows in confusion. "We need to catch them before they go far. The young servant said it, isn't that right?" He asked and turned back to look for her but she was no where to be found. "Where did she go?""We were tricked," Damien muttered, with rage coalescing into a ball in his inside. He tightened his fist and looked at Bruno. "How many men did you left behind?""What do you mean? The atmosphere became suddenly tense and eerie while Damian couldn't help clenching and unclenching his fist. They had just missed their chance of getting Regina because of his foolishness, he wouldn't stop blaming himself and Bruno wouldn't stop making numerous calls to ask for backup. Damian had just looked down on him even when he made it clear to him how much he knew Regina and Bianca. The tumbling car drew their attention. Both turned in horror as they saw a vehicle skidding off the road, tumbling dangerously before disappearing over the edge of the ridge. “Bianca!” Damian’s voice cracked, fear flooding through him like ice water. Damian could barely keep up; everything was happening so fast. The noise and chaos of the hospital swirled around him, but his focus remained on Bianca. She lay unconscious, her breathing steady but shallow, and he couldn’t help but feel unsure about whether he should continue with the investigation or not. Bruno had just reported to him that apart from the wrecked car, no other evidence had been found. Regina's body was still missing. “Could she have escaped the scene? Could she have drowned?” Different questions raced through his mind, each one more troubling than the last. The uncertainty gnawed at him. He returned his gaze to Bianca, whose heartbeat had stabilized. Her color was gradually returning to normal, a sight that brought a sigh of relief from deep within him. But even as he felt a flicker of hope, the jolt of his phone interrupted his thoughts. It was Bruno again. He hesitated to pick it up, but he knew he had to—he had been involved in this case from the beginning. “An

He let out a deep breath and moved back, going closer to the door to avoid getting captured by the surveillance camera. He brought out two little explosives, which had been with him before he left for the meeting. He had slipped it into his pocket to use it when necessary. He activated it and threw it to the center of the basement. After waiting for a few seconds, it exploded and the building shook. The basement became smokey, blinding the cameras. An easy way to successfully rescue Josh and leave, he thought. He ran into the opened door and just as he had suspected, Josh was chained to a chair in the middle of the room with his mouth covered. "This damn people," he muttered and ran to him. He pulled the tape out of his mouth and Josh breathed out deeply. "You shouldn't be here. This is all a trap. Get out!" He said with his voice laced with panic. "I promise to always protect you and i

The second guard was standing before them, staring at them in horror. He was going to call his partner as he was taking too long and their bosses would soon be out, but he found him unconscious with the woman and a familiar man beside him. "Hey! Who are you two?! What have you done!" He said out, bringing their attention to him. He quickly brought out his gun but before he could point it at them, Mary threw the rod to him and it hit the gun away. Before he could recover, she ran and punched him hard on his face and the next to his chest, rendering him weak. He fell on his knees groaning in pain. "You should never have trusted me," she muttered and wrapped her arm tightly around his neck, to make him unconscious, while Allen went on to undress the other officer. The second guard finally went to sleep and she let him go. "Now, we have our perfect disguises," she said with a smile and made to undress him but Allen held back her hand. They both left the car and ran towards the state library. Just when they got closer, Mary suddenly held his hand and dragged him to the alley. "What are you doing? This is our chance to go in," he pointed out, not pleased with her sudden action. "I know we are two and I promised to fight with you, but are you a fool?" She questioned, which made him arch his brows. She never misses a moment to insult him. She went on, "If we go into that library as Allen Scott and Mary Jane, the project Erubus would be informed before we get to them and they will have all the time to escape and plan an attack. We don't even know where exactly they are in the building." Allen signed deeply, knowing she was right. He was going to make a bad decision but lucky enough, she was there to stop him. "Mary?" He called, in shock. "C'mon. We don't have all day. My system is about to shut down!" She yelled out, getting ready to run. Allen nodded and hurried down the stairs. He put his glasses into his pocket and together, they ran into the woods, going as fast as they could. "We need to find a place to hide before the explosion," she pointed out, breathing heavily. "Come with me," he answered and took the next turn. He noticed a pit a few distance away from them and pointed it direction. "There!" They both jumped into the pit and a loud explosion followed next, shaking the ground and bringing everything on its path down. After the explosion, silence followed next with their heavy breathing loud to their ears. Mary Jane sat down and placed her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart. "That was close," she muttered. Allen nodded and sat beside her, trying to steady his breath. She looked at him and asked, "How did you know there was a pit here?" "I took noti
