Damien slowly turned and faced her. "Going home," he lied. He had no home.

Eleanor rolled her eyes and let out a deep breath, "You have to stay here. I can't let you go. You are the only doctor I trust with my grandfather. Please, don't leave," she pleaded.

He promised to take care of the old man and leaving would be wrong of him. But, he had a life. He wanted to take a deep breath and think of what to do next to stand back on his feet.

Taking a step forward, he wanted to object to her request, but she pleaded, "Please. What if something happens at night? What if he's in sudden need of medication?"

She was right. Although he was stable, a lot could happen at night. He let out a deep breath and answered, "Alright then. I am your grandfather's doctor and I need to be conscious."
