Damien walked out of his bathroom with water dropping from his half-naked body and a towel dropped around his waist.

His eyes fell on the documents on his bed and he felt a sense of victory flowed through his body, igniting a spark in him.

Just as Mr Benson said, he signed the deal with him before he went back to Africa. The Williams Hospital would be expanded beyond his imagination.

He picked up his phone and quickly dialed Eleanor's number. She picked up after the third ring.

"Dr Damien, it's been a while," her melodic voice came on, and the smile enveloping Damien's face widened.

It's been three weeks since she left the country and she had no plans on returning soon.

"Yes, it has. At this point, I guess you might relocate there," he said to tease her and she laughed out loud.

"I thought about that. I do need a break from the south. Not just a break but a long break. Besides, this country is so beautiful. I planned on staying longer after my business here is done," she answered and

She went to her closet to pick out the perfect dress for the press which she tagged 'Her revenge dress.'She stood before her mirror and placed her hand on her cheek, where she was slapped a few months ago by him. The reporter stared at her with wide eyes at her accusation. Assaulted by Damien was a big crime. He glanced at the camera man who understood the reason for his look and he nodded, giving him a thumbs up. The reporter cleared his throat and faced her again. "Do you have proof to claim your accusation? Assault is a strong word and he would be sentenced if it turns out to be true," he said to her and she nodded. She lowered her head and wiped her eyes, to make it look as if she was crying. "I do have a proof. I wouldn't say something like this without it."The reporter adjusted on his seat, knowing he was about to get a huge story that would shake the internet. It was the moment for him. The moment he had been waiting for. If he's able to get people to watch his exclusive, that would be a promotion for him. He would get promoted. "Care to share the evidence with me?" He asked and she nodded. She sniffed and opened her bag to bring in the evidence, but it was out of reach. She dippe

She had watched the clip on the flash drive and saw it was edited. She watched the interview and heard the lies her sister spewed. She couldn't hide her disappointment. "What is wrong with you, Regina? Why are you doing all this?" She questioned, trying to keep her voice low to avoid waking everyone. Regina scoffed and crossed her arms, "Why am I doing all this?" She questioned, with amusement enveloping her face. "You should be the last person to ask me that question because you know why I am doing this.""Are you serious right now? Do you know what you are doing? You are tryi

Eleanor walked out of the airport with three security men walking behind her and shielding her from the people trying to touch her. They led her to where her car was parked and opened the backdoor for her. "Take me to Williams Hospital," she ordered immediately after she entered the car and the driver nodded in response and drove off. 'How could all this happen at once?' she thought and rubbed her forehead. Regina did a lot in just a few days. Although she couldn't produce the evidence in the end which helped save Damien a bit, what she said shook the internet."I need to stop this before it escalates further," she muttered to herself and looked at the driver. "Take me to the Calloway's company instead. I have a meeting with someone," she instructed and changed direction. She picked out her ringing phone and swiped the answer icon when she saw the caller's name. She let out a deep breath and spoke into the phone. "Damien," she called his name and looked out the window. "That ex-si

Bianca went mute at her request. Getting a deal with Eleanor had been her biggest dream of the year and the opportunity was right in front of her, with a request that could be impossible.Regina wasn't ready to stop even after her first warning. Her sister was bent on ruining Damien due to her hatred for him."What do you say? Deal or no deal?" Eleanor asked again, staring at her intently. If Regina wasn't going to stop, she was ready to use the one thing the family was after, and that was a business deal with her cooperation."Is this something you can't do? You can't talk to your sister to stop all these?" She went on and shook her head in disappointment. "Guess you don't want any of this. I will just take it to a business ready for a deal." She stood up and made to leave but stopped when Bianca called her back."This is something easy that can be done immediately," Bianca said and stood up, with a smile spread across her features. "I will make sure Regina stops immediately."The co

Damien looked at his phone for the tenth and let out a deep breath. Another call from the press which he was certain, was trying to get a meeting with him."The press keeps calling. People keep asking questions and even the patients are all bothered," Eric said in panic.Damien rubbed his neck and lowered his head. Regina wasn't trying to stop and it was getting hard for him."Sir, why don't we have a meeting with Regina and ask her what she wants? Maybe if we pay her, she would stop," he suggested but Damien shook his head."Money is the last thing Regina wants from me right now," he answered after minutes of silence. "She doesn't need anything. She is only bent on ruining my career. And also, she hates my face, so trying to fix a meeting with her won't be possible."He let out a sigh of exasperation. "That woman has gone too far. Why don't we involve the police?" He suggested but Damien shook his head again."There is no evidence to prove she is lying."Eric pursed his lips and sat

"What did she do this time?" Eleanor asked, with frustration boiling over her words."I don't know how she got the information about the investors because she is attacking them too," he answered and looked at Eleanor. "You are included, ma'am."Damien quickly picked up his phone and logged into his social media. Regina was in another interview. He tapped on it and listened.'Damien Williams is a cunning man, like I have always said from the beginning. It was all a plan to reap people who have nothing. There are big shots behind him on this. I do have evidence. The first is Eleanor Whyte, who we all know about her involvement. Jason Mueller also played a big role, I heard about the Crown's group being involved and an investor from Africa, but I will investigate more about the two. All these people joined hands to play this trick on everyone, so we all would believe a miracle doctor has come to us.'He clenched the phone in his hand and hardened his jaw."A little girl trying to play a

Damian sat in the dimly lit hospital room, the rhythmic beeping of machines creating a soothing backdrop to the whirlwind of emotions swirling within him. Bianca lay in the bed, her face framed by tousled hair, eyes fluttering open as if awakening from a long, deep sleep. The moment their gazes met, a spark ignited between them, a connection that transcended the confines of the sterile room.“Damian?” she said, her voice a whisper, filled with disbelief. “Is it you?”He nodded, his heart racing as he leaned closer, absorbing every detail of her expression. It was as if time had folded in on itself, and the world outside had faded away. “Yes, it’s me. You’re safe now,” he replied, his voice steady but thick with emotion. As the reality of her surroundings settled in, Bianca’s brow furrowed in confusion. “I… I remember things, but they’re all jumbled. The last clear memory I have is—Regina!” Her voice wavered, and a tremor of disappointment coursed through her. “She knocked me out of co

She lay unconscious, her breathing steady but shallow, and he couldn’t help but feel unsure about whether he should continue with the investigation or not. Bruno had just reported to him that apart from the wrecked car, no other evidence had been found. Regina's body was still missing. “Could she have escaped the scene? Could she have drowned?” Different questions raced through his mind, each one more troubling than the last. The uncertainty gnawed at him. He returned his gaze to Bianca, whose heartbeat had stabilized. Her color was gradually returning to normal, a sight that brought a sigh of relief from deep within him. But even as he felt a flicker of hope, the jolt of his phone interrupted his thoughts. It was Bruno again. They had just missed their chance of getting Regina because of his foolishness, he wouldn't stop blaming himself and Bruno wouldn't stop making numerous calls to ask for backup. Damian had just looked down on him even when he made it clear to him how much he knew Regina and Bianca. The tumbling car drew their attention. Both turned in horror as they saw a vehicle skidding off the road, tumbling dangerously before disappearing over the edge of the ridge. “Bianca!” Damian’s voice cracked, fear flooding through him like ice water. Tears filled his eyes as he called her name, his heart racing uncontrollably. Bianca was in that car—he could feel it in his bones. “Damian, we need to call for help!” Bruno, a seasoned detective, urged, his tone urgent. He quickly fumbled for his phone. 'But not you!' he wanted to say but the words hung in his throat. Seeing her come out of the water, made his heart skip a beat and he found himself admiring her. He swallowed hard and looked away, embarrassed that she had caught him staring for long. "The others would be out soon. Let's talk and go back," he said, averting the topic. "It's the middle of the night. No one would come out not especially to this pool," she answered and sat down on the second beach chair. "Trust me, they are all tired." She rested back and let out a deep breath. "I thought I wouldn't be able to see the stars again. I lost hope in surviving." He looked at her, taken aback by what she said. You took so much time to wake up," she said and sat up. "You should have shown a sign that you were awake," he said and stood up. "I am hurt but you made me hurt myself again." "I see you are stronger now. You got everyone worried sick." "My hand still hurts," he admitted and went to sit on the bed. "Where is everyone?" "I don't know. I woke up and found no one here. Maybe they are all in their rooms. They must have spent the whole night trying to treat us." He looked at the clock on the wall and his eyes popped open. It was noon. "You are right, they must have spent the whole night and morning here." He sat back and let out a deep breath, grateful he was alive. He couldn't afford to die when he wasn't done with his mission. He hasn't gotten back at the people who hurt his mother. When he thought about his mother, his heart sk

"Allen you better not die," he said inwardly and entered the room. It was a cardiac arrest. "Everyone step back," he ordered and ran to the bed. He began to resuscitate him, while Stephanie, Josh, and George watched in horror. "This is all because of me," Josh thought, with his heart racing fast. "You can't die. Please don't die. I won't be able to survive the guilt." "Brother, please. Please don't leave me. I can't stay alone. Please don't go!" Stephanie cried out and rested her hands on her knees. "Please!" She added. "Please, save my brother!" Steph cried out to Doctor Thompson. She looked at her unconscious brother and her heart skipped a beat. She had a bad feeling about the mission and just as she suspected, he got injured. 'If only I knew, I would have stopped him,' she said inwardly, filled with regret but it was too late. He had lost a lot of blood and was at the point of death. "The two of them are in critical condition right now and I am short of assistance," Dr Thompson muttered and rubbed his neck. "We will assist in every way we can. We are not experienced, but you can tell us what to do," Josh said in determination to do everything he could to make sure Allen and Mary get better. They had risked their lives to make sure he lived, and he wasn't ready to let that go. He owed them his life. "Great. There is an opening and exit in Mary's arms, which means the bullet went out of her the moment it was shot. But for Allen, there is only an opening. He still has the bullet in his sho

Allen looked over his shoulder at the men who were very close to him. He knew it was over and he would be taken to Project Erebus. That would be the end. It would be the end of everything he was fighting for and people who lost their lives to see him safe. He let out a deep breath and shut his eyes, giving up but suddenly, he heard the door unlocked, bringing new bolts of hope to him. "It opened," Ultimate informed and without wasting another minute, he opened the door and ran out. "Hey, wait up!" He heard the agents scream at him. "Get him back here immediately," the order came in next. With Mary on his back, it was hard to run fast as she kept slowing him down because of her weight, and he was slowly losing consciousness for overworking his body. He sighted a car coming but didn't look properly until it pulled over in front of him and he realized it was his car. "Get in!" Josh yelled and without wasting another minute, Allen entered, barely missing the gun fired at him,
