Damien and Bianca stared at him in a daze, in awe of how quickly he had forgotten the research and his text message.

Ahmed on his part was impatiently waiting for the waitress to bring in his order.

Bianca slammed her hand on the table, bringing everybody's attention to her. She abruptly stood up and pointed a finger at him.

"What are you up to, huh? You are pretending not to know the reason why we are here?" She questioned, raising her voice.

Damien held her hand to get her attention, but she pulled her hand away from his, with her attention focused on the doctor.

"Do you think you will get away with this?" She questioned and smirked. "Sorry to burst your bubbles, but you will have to pay your debts alone. It is an amount we can afford, but we will be cheeky enough not to."

She picked up her purse and looked at Damien. "Let's go," she ordered.

Damien was perplexed seeing how pissed off she was. He was pissed off too, but she was a different person.

He smirked and stood up, to follow

Ahmed nodded and sat back. "It's easy to figure it out. Bianca never cared about anyone except herself and her family. For her to be here and eager to hear me, a family member caught the flu," he answered. "But why did you think it's Regina?" Damien questioned, curious to know how he easily figured it out."She looks worried. Regina is the most cared-for family. She would have lost her patient and left if it were her parents." He answered and looked at her. "I know her so well."Bianca pursed her lips, in surprise that he figured it out easily. Ahmed went on, "I will write down the medications for it which needs to be followed precisely. A day should never be missed. She will get better as long as it hasn't gotten to the fourth stage.""She is at the third stage," Damien answered, to which Ahmed nodded. "Then she needs to get treated before it's too late. This stage is treatable with surgery and treatments."Damien drew his brows and when he thought of something, he snapped his fing

Bianca's heart skipped a beat seeing how serious he was. She sat up and swallowed down lumps in her throat. "Is she… is she gonna die?" She questioned.Damien shook his head to her relief and he answered, "We have to keep hoping she wakes up. The surgery was successful and right now, we will continue with the treatments."Bianca sniffed and drew back. She couldn't stop her tears from flowing. She swallowed the lump in her throat and lowered her head. "I thought… I thought… you wanted to tell me… about her death," she sniffed. Damien shook his head and faced her, "She survived it. You know your sister, she has always been a fighter."She nodded and lifted her eyes to look at him, "But what problem are you talking about? Did you discover something else? Would she be alright soon?" She questioned at once, with anxiety resonating in her voice. "The problem is that she would be staying in the hospital for a much longer time than intended. Her treatment would be a gradual process," She an

Damien was taken aback by her sudden request. A date? He wanted to ask about it but she suddenly laughed and waved her hand. "I was just joking. I wanted to see the look on your face and you didn't disappoint. You look so shocked," she laughed mockingly. Damien pursed his lips and nodded. He was taken aback and wasn't expecting her to ask for a date. "You did take me by surprise. I wondered if I had heard someone else speak," he answered. She laughed again and when she had a fill, she shook her head. "Anyway, I want to ask for dinner instead. I want to thank you for everything you did for Regina. You have it all, so a gift would just be added to your collections. This is the only appreciative way I can think of."Damien looked at his wristwatch and drew in a deep breath, "I don't think I will be able to make it. My schedule is filled up today. I have missed a lot of meetings and events for the hospital. I need to work on them."Bianca twisted her lips, feeling disappointed and at t

Damian and Bianca found themselves in Regina’s hospital room. The tension in the air was palpable, but neither of them wanted to leave the other’s side. Damian stood by the monitors, adjusting a few settings, while Bianca sat in the corner, her hands folded tightly in her lap.“How’s she doing?” Bianca asked softly, her eyes flickering to her sister’s pale face.“She’s stable for now,” Damian replied, his tone professional. “But her condition is still critical. If the treatment I’m testing doesn’t work, we’ll need to consider more drastic measures.”Bianca bit her lip, her gaze dropping to her hands. “I never thought I’d see her like this. Regina’s always been so... untouchable. Seeing her vulnerable like this... it’s hard.”Damian walked over, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “She’s strong, Bianca. She’ll fight through this. And I’ll do everything in my power to help her.”She looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude. “Thank you, Damian. For everything. I know Regin

Regina looked at Damien with a frown on his face. "How did I get here?" She questioned with disbelief lacing her voice. She averted her gaze to Bianca and clenched her jaw. "Did you bring me here? I thought I made it clear that I don't want to have anything to do with Damien William?"Bianca frowned and stood up, "What are you talking about, Regina? What is wrong with you?""Why did you bring me here?" She raised her voice, with annoyance resonating from her tone. Bianca rubbed her neck in frustration. Regina hasn't changed even after experiencing a life-threatening sickness. "You came in here yourself. I was called by Damien who told me you were here. Have you forgotten all these?""Liar!" Regina accused. "Why would I come to the hospital I hate so much to be treated by the man I don't want to see at all?"Bianca rolled her eyes and sat down. "What's your problem, Regina? Right after you wake up, you are about to bring this hospital down." She let out a deep breath and looked at he

Damien stared at Bianca as Regina's words repeated in his head. Was he truly living a dream? If Bianca didn't submit the divorce, that meant they were still married. He knew Regina would do anything to rile him up, and that made him have a second thought about it. Bianca drew her brows together, in wonder at why they were both staring at her. She glanced at Regina for a second and averted her gaze back to Damien. "What is going on?" She questioned but got no reply. "Damien, what did Regina say to you?" "Why did you think I would say anything to him? He is not that important to me to start a conversation," Regina grumbled. Bianca shot her a glare and wanted to shut her up but Damien spoke first. Allen went back to the library and down to the basement. The door was still open a bit. He let out a deep breath and moved back, going closer to the door to avoid getting captured by the surveillance camera. He brought out two little explosives, which had been with him before he left for the meeting. He had slipped it into his pocket to use it when necessary. He activated it and threw it to the center of the basement. After waiting for a few seconds, it exploded and the building shook. The basement became smokey, blinding the cameras. An easy way to successfully rescue Josh and leave, he thought. He ran into the opened door and just as he had suspected, Josh was chained to a chair in the middle of the room with his mouth covered. "This damn people," he muttered and ran to him. He pulled the tape out of his mouth and Josh breathed out deeply. "You shouldn't be here. This is all a trap. Get out!" He said with his voice laced with panic. "I promise to always protect you and i

The second guard was standing before them, staring at them in horror. He was going to call his partner as he was taking too long and their bosses would soon be out, but he found him unconscious with the woman and a familiar man beside him. "Hey! Who are you two?! What have you done!" He said out, bringing their attention to him. He quickly brought out his gun but before he could point it at them, Mary threw the rod to him and it hit the gun away. Before he could recover, she ran and punched him hard on his face and the next to his chest, rendering him weak. He fell on his knees groaning in pain. "You should never have trusted me," she muttered and wrapped her arm tightly around his neck, to make him unconscious, while Allen went on to undress the other officer. The second guard finally went to sleep and she let him go. "Now, we have our perfect disguises," she said with a smile and made to undress him but Allen held back her hand. She looked at him with her brows drawn to

They both left the car and ran towards the state library. Just when they got closer, Mary suddenly held his hand and dragged him to the alley. "What are you doing? This is our chance to go in," he pointed out, not pleased with her sudden action. "I know we are two and I promised to fight with you, but are you a fool?" She questioned, which made him arch his brows. She never misses a moment to insult him. She went on, "If we go into that library as Allen Scott and Mary Jane, the project Erubus would be informed before we get to them and they will have all the time to escape and plan an attack. We don't even know where exactly they are in the building." Allen signed deeply, knowing she was right. He was going to make a bad decision but lucky enough, she was there to stop him. "So what's your plan? Are we going to disguise to go in?" She nodded. "We have to disguise. That way, we can enter as normal people and figure out what to do and where to go." "Won't it take a lot of time

"Mary?" He called, in shock. "C'mon. We don't have all day. My system is about to shut down!" She yelled out, getting ready to run. Allen nodded and hurried down the stairs. He put his glasses into his pocket and together, they ran into the woods, going as fast as they could. "We need to find a place to hide before the explosion," she pointed out, breathing heavily. "Come with me," he answered and took the next turn. He noticed a pit a few distance away from them and pointed it direction. "There!" They both jumped into the pit and a loud explosion followed next, shaking the ground and bringing everything on its path down. After the explosion, silence followed next with their heavy breathing loud to their ears. Mary Jane sat down and placed her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart. "That was close," she muttered. Allen nodded and sat beside her, trying to steady his breath. She looked at him and asked, "How did you know there was a pit here?" "I took noti

He questioned and looked around for another door. He found an escape door but when he tried opening it, it was locked. "Dang it!" He cursed inwardly and went on to search for another door in desperation. If it was a bomb, the time would be ticking and he knew he had a few minutes to escape or that would be the end. He still had a lot to do. He promised Stephanie that he would be back. He still had to bring down the project Erubus and ruin his father. "I knew something was off," Allen mumbled, bending low to avoid getting hit by the flying bullets. Allen muttered, realizing they had used Josh's phone and knew about the address for their meeting. "Stop the car!" He ordered, taking the driver aback. The driver didn't stop the car at first, thinking he had heard wrongly until Allen repeated himself this time, with fury. He quickly pulled over and Allen stepped out holding a gun.
