Damon heads out of the hospital room with mixed emotions but the paramount ones that threatened to choke the life out of him were anger and disappointment. Was he disappointed in Athena or was he disappointed in himself? Because of Athena's reaction to Alfredo's death and how worried she was for her girls, he decided to help her girls. He'd accessed her phone and found some shocking truth about her... She did not keep any information on her phone, however, her girls sent her a piece of information that he stumbled upon when he accessed her phone. He didn't allow the gravity of the shock to weigh him down, he'd contacted the girls... Her girls were as tenacious and irksome as her but he was able to convince them to come and meet their boss. They didn't believe him till he provided all the evidence they needed and he never for once complained. It was necessary for them to ask, all they wanted was evidence that he'd not trapped their boss and also luring them to their death. "How l
A low yawn escaped Damon's mouth as he made his way out of his room. He'd not only slept late, he could not get a good sleep too. Whenever he closes his eyes, the thoughts bothering his mind would not allow him a single form of rest. He could not help but wish to just shut down for a few minutes, he was as tired as one could be but sleep refused to claim him. If he's able to sleep well, perhaps he'd be able to get some form of physical rest but as his body would have it, it can not rest. How's the whole thing fair?!. "Good morning boss, hope you slept well. Electra asked as she saw him coming towards the elevator.Damon gave her a blank stare and nodded his head. They both stepped into the elevator. After their discussion last night, he'd stayed out in the cold for more hours, thinking about everything she'd told him. She was right and she still is, having Athena here is like winning a jackpot and he should be happy but he has no idea why he wasn't. He does not wish to compromise
Damon tries to keep his mind as neutral as possible, he wants to sit and have a heart-to-heart discussion with Athena. She'd dropped countless messages for him, however, he'd called her and told her to keep calm and focus on getting better, and without waiting for her to say anything, he'd ended the call. He strived to keep calm and think straight without anyone interrupting him, talking to her would have been some kind of distraction. He doesn't wish to speak to her over the phone, he wants to talk to her face to face which is why he's neither replying to her messages nor paying heed to Electra whenever she brings up the issue. They stepped out of the elevator in the health care section of the Villa and began to move toward Athena's room. The hospital stench that welcomed him when he stepped into the section almost made him want to turn back and wait for Athena to be discharged. According to the Doctor, she would be discharged today and he'd stylishly waited but he didn't hear a
"You could have told me you have flower allergies, I'm so sorry Athena. I meant no harm." Trevor apologized to the woman sitting on her bed. "You really don't have to apologize, I love flowers and you brought them with so much affection, how could I reject it? I thought I'd get discharged earlier but it turns out that the doctor was out on a business meeting which was why I was still in the hospital bed." She said with a smile. "Well, all is good now, you got the comfort of your room. I'm glad you're well now, you got all of us scared... Especially him." Electra said, pointing towards Damon. Damon heard what Electra said but chose to ignore it, after Athena's allergic reaction, he'd phoned Doctor Alec asking if Athena could be discharged and he'd affirmed it. He'd brought her to her room to rest but she insisted on him staying saying that she wanted to clear all misunderstandings. He wanted to clear up all the misinterpretations too, so he stayed. "Awww, I never knew I'd captured
"Hey. Want some booze?" A calm female voice asked but Damon's eyes were just fixed on the novel he was reading."I'm sorry, okay. I know I've been a swine, so I'm sorry." Athena apologized when Damon didn't give her a speck of attention.Damon dropped the novel he was trying to read and turned to face the woman standing with a wine and two glasses"Are you planning to get me drunk?" He asked and invited her to come sit.Athena chuckled and sat down on the couch closer to him, "Electra told me you have a very high tolerance for alcohol so, don't worry, I won't even try to get you drunk." She replied with a smile. "Alright, how's your health? Getting better huh?" "Yeah, I am. It's a normal thing for me, I get such panic attacks whenever I see something relating to my past." She revealed."I'm interested in your past, are you ready to talk about it or are you just here to judge me as usual?" He asked and she chuckled."I'm sorry for whatever I did, I am just... You know, like that. I'm
The phone was ringing. Damon's eyes were closed, he cussed in the state of subconsciousness at the intruder that was disturbing his sleep. He'd labored for that sleep before it finally took him in its weak slumber. The phone continues to ring but he chooses to ignore it, the caller will either get tired of calling and stop or get frustrated. Simple and plain. He's not compromising his rest for anything, he'd finally gotten the little rest he deserved after a very long time. The ringing stopped only to resume again, well... The caller has a strong resolution. He brought his wrist close to his mouth and muttered, "AI, block that fucking call." "Call blocked." The robotic voice announced and a smug graced his sleepy face."It's already 8:50 in the morning." It disclosed but Damon chose to ignore it. Having the AI is a blessing and a curse for him.Damon tried to sleep again but he could not, the call had definitely chased away the little sleep in his eyes. Opening his eyes, he l
"Well, that's a well-thought-out plan. Extraordinarily promising, it's dangerous but it's good." Electra said as she stuffed some hot tacos in her mouth. "Stop talking with your mouth full, you're eating something spicy you know?" Trevor cautioned but the woman just scoffed at him and refocused her attention back on Damon who was sitting and studying some files. He'd brief them on what to do and the three of them believed it was a perfect plan. Lethal but reasonable... They've got to take the risk. "You should call your assassins back then, I don't think they can help anymore, besides we're going there on our own," Athena suggested. "Yeah I think so, they've been there for a long time. I'm sure they miss home and all their friends." Trevor agreed."What's your take on it, Electra?" Athena asked the young woman who was busy eating. They'd tagged her foodie but Electra's insane appetite for today was insane, she had surpassed what she'd take this week alone. "I'll go with whatever
TWO WEEKS LATER. "What are we going to do boss? I'm going wild right now." Electra asked, pacing around in the tenth they'd set up for the night. "Why are you so restless? Hold your horses, Electra." Trevor conveyed. Electra stopped pacing, turned to look at him, and frowned, "We've not heard from Athena for the past two days we camped here and you want me to hold my horses? You have to be kidding me." She said in frustration and sat down on the nearest chair."Okay, keep up with the worry, Let's see if that would bring her back." Trevor huffed and turned back to start working on his laptop. Damon sighed, maybe it was truly a bad idea to send Athena into that fortress, he should not have agreed when she suggested it. Some of the assassins they had sent for the past few months came back with some useful information; they could not gather evidence because the security in the fortress was extraordinarily elevated. Before one would get in, there'd be so many scans and checkups by dif
