Chapter 36 - Guilt

Panting like a hog, I ran and ran to guard this breath of mine and keep the warmth of life still inside my body. The air pressure brushed my face as my feet kept stomping on the dirty waters and filth on my path. Although it would be nice to have my pants and shoes clean, there was no time to bother with such trivialities. 

To my horror, my persistent chaser was quite the runner himself. Even though this body wasn't so well trained but running for a long time was one of the accomplishments I could be proud of. However, today it seems was the first time I felt disappointed by myself or the fact that I wasn't born with four legs.
