Logan slammed his eyes shut and tossed up a purple barrier around the five of them. He heard many of the cultists protesting in fear, but their screams quickly died out into a dull drone that echoed across the rooftop in unison.“What the fuck is happening?” Logan asked the elves.“He’s taking over the Cultists’ minds,” Beth continued. “Soon they’ll be under his spell, and he can make them do whatever he wants.”“There…” the demon’s voice said devilishly. “Now, where were we?”Logan finally opened his eyes and saw that all the cultists were now completely tensed up, and their eyes were glowing a bright purple.“Oh yes,” Azar hummed. “The part where my humble servants rip you limb from limb!”“There aren’t that many of them, but they could still easily overwhelm us,” Logan said to his friends. “We need to split them up. Beth and Rafe, you guys take the ones on the left. Kelda and Abina, you draw the attention of the ones off to the right. I’ll handle—”“You know how powe
Logan turned back to look at the mind-controlled Jane, who was now charging across the roof at him with her dagger drawn. She left herself completely defenseless as she moved, and he could have obliterated her if he wanted to, but that was exactly what Azar wanted. He wanted Logan to slip up and treat Jane like a regular enemy, to kill her with his Hellfire powers accidentally or maim her with his blade. Not on his watch. “Uh, you want me to sweep the leg?” Todd said nervously as the woman continued to gain ground.“Hold your ground, buddy,” Logan reassured the goblin. “Once she goes for the killing blow, I can take her.”“Oh, I know you can take her!” Todd giggled. “I almost walked in on you two in the woods, remember?”Jane let out an angry scream as she closed the gap and raised the dagger over her head. She swung it down with lethal intent, but Logan was able to side-step out of the way. The brunette took this chance to lash out at him with her
Logan looked up to see a tendril of concrete flying toward him, and he quickly sidestepped the attack. As he did so, he slashed at the concrete with his enchanted blade and sent its debris tumbling across the rooftop.Azar’s first attack was little more than a distraction, and the demon was on him a second later. The demon’s fist smashed into Logan’s chin, and his mouth filled with the taste of iron. He reached out and grabbed the demon’s wrist before he could raise his sword, and they grappled for a moment or two before he shoved Azar off into the ground.“This mortal flesh is weak!” Azar hissed. “In my demon form, that blow would have popped your head like a gore-filled balloon!”“You really talk too much,” Logan huffed as he raised his sword. He thrust the end of the blade down toward Azar’s head, but the demon dropped his broadsword and clapped his hands together to catch it. The enchanted steel sizzled in the demon’s hand, and the air was filled with the smell
Logan could see several of the Cultists' jaws clench at his words."If that doesn't work, then the door is right that way," he pointed toward the main entrance."Of course it does, Master Ralston," Oliver reluctantly agreed. "We swore to serve you, not Lucifer.""Second," Logan continued. "Oliver, I want you to continue to lead, but Jane is going to act as the main liaison between the cult and me.""Fair enough," Oliver grumbled."Jane will check in with us once a week to let us know what is going on with your forces," Beth explained. "We will meet in person when necessary.""You mean when Jakey-boy here wants a booty call?" Rafe laughed. "No, Rafe, this is for official cult business," Logan rolled his eyes at the goblin, but then he turned and winked at Jane."Jane is our new liaison, and we must fight for the Divine," Oliver nodded. "What is your third wish, Master?""The crocs and socks have to go," he slapped the white-haired man on the arm playfully. "I'm not going
Logan still had no fucking idea how they ended up in there. He shook his head as they reminisced. "I miss that shitty beater car," he said. "You mind your tongue!" Rafe hissed jokingly. "She may be long gone, but she was still my baby." "She may not have looked like much on the outside, but she held a lot of sentimental value," Abina added, then turned to Beth. "It's where the three of them first made their triple connection." "I wish I could have been there," the redhead smirked. "What happened to her?" "Your 'ol buddy Azazel sent a bunch of assassins after us," Rafe explained. "They totally blew her off the road with an RPG and a full minute of heavy machine gun fire, but even then, Lola still wasn't out. She started transforming into a giant robot--" "That's definitely not what happened," Logan shook his head. "At least we have Shadow now. She's no Lola, but she gets us where we need to go." "For now," the goblin corrected. "The ride back from San Francisco was a little crowde
Behind him, Logan heard a bunch of guys fighting over the discarded panties as he threw another hundred or so at the naked woman. The sexy blonde gyrated her body as she stood to her feet, and then she looked over at the other two dancers performing off on the side stages. Ms. Miracle seductively motioned for them to come and join her, and then she turned her attention back to Logan. She continued to run her hands up and down her body and gyrate sexily to the different beats that were booming through the club. Finally, a brunette and another blonde woman appeared at her side. The brunette was petite, with long, slender legs and breasts that were tiny, yet beautiful. She was completely topless, but the dancer was still wearing a hot pink bikini bottom. The second blonde dancer was a little more on the thick side of things, with breasts that were threatening to pop out of her black sheer top and an ass so curvy that one could probably balance a level on it.Ms. Miracle w
“You’re the one who’s surrounded, bitch!” Rafe slurred, and then he turned visible once more and summoned a small bit of Hellfire into his hand. “We’ll kill you, and then all your little gunny buddies will run away like pussies when they see how bad we fuck you up.” “The goblin is just as annoying as the stories I’ve heard,” Zepar’s muffled voice hissed from behind his helmet. “I didn’t think that was possible.” “Annoy this.” Rafe clapped his hands together, and the Hellfire grew slightly larger. “Hadouken!” The goblin launched a basketball-sized blast of Hellfire at the massive demon that struck Zepar in the chest, bounced harmlessly off like a rubber ball, and ignited a small spot on the floor. The demon nonchalantly looked down at the fire and stomped it out with his armored foot. “Huh,” Rafe hiccuped. “I totally thought that was gonna work.” “Now, it’s my turn,” Zepar said as a sly smile spread across his lips. Then, very slowly, he raised his hand. “Goodbye,
As Zepar lumbered for his sword and shield, it could be seen that his magic armor was flickering on and off his body. He almost looked like a character that was glitching out in a video game, indicating that victory was finally within reach. Before he could reach his weapons, Abina and Kelda landed on each side of the massive demon. The glitched-out warrior attempted to punch Kelda, but the fit blonde elve caught his fist in a time-freezing spell of blue Hellfire before it could make contact. From the other side, Abina picked up the discarded stripper pole with her telekinetic fire, looping it over the fucker's head and wrapping it around his neck. Abina continued to use her magic to tighten the pole around the demon's throat, but his constantly reappearing helmet prevented her from delivering the killing blow. Rafe then joined the fray, leaping into the air and releasing a hailstorm of tiny fireballs at Zepar. "It's a-me, Rafeio!" he slurred, attempting an awf
