Lucian grandmother was sitting next to him in the ambulance. Suddenly, She got up and looked at her son's face in shock as she panicked and tried to get back in control. She taps his hands as tears start to fall out of nowhere. "Lucian," she said in a whisper, expecting him to answer quickly like he always does.
"Please sit down, Ma'am. We're doing our best, and everything will be fine," the nurse told Lucian's grandmother as she quickly join them back as they tried to save Lucian life.
The ambulance stopped all of a sudden. The emergency care service came out quickly and took Lucian away on a stretcher. Lucian granny ran with them as they took him, scratching her head as she watched her only surviving family member being rushed to the patient room.
"Please be strong for me, my dear ," she begged Lucian . The nurses hurried him to the patient room. As soon as he was inside, Lucian granny stood outside and watched as doctors rushed in to help.
Watching as the doctors try to bring him back to life, she cried again. The room's cotton was pulled away, and she could only see their shadow.
"Hello ma'am" one of the doctor said as he walked out of the room, my eyes meeting the doctor's, nervously waiting for what he wanted to say.
"Can you tell me how you're related to the patient?" The doctor inquired, being as nice as he could.
"I'm his grandma, and I'm his last living relative. Please tell me he's fine, doctor." Without hesitation, she responded to him as soon as he asked.
"A brain injury has been discovered in Lucian. He has a foreign item in his head that needs to be removed as soon as possible or he will die ".. The doctor said to Lucian granny.
She got up and went close to the room to see Lucian who was being bandaged.
"How much will the operation cost?" She inquired, turning back to the doctor as he walked behind me.
"The operation will cost three hundred thousand dollars," he responds quickly.
"My God!!!" She exclaimed, streams of tears ran down her face. Her thoughts was troubled until she remembered that she had a savings account and that Lucian had also put money into it.
"What doctor? For three hundred thousand dollars, isn't that a lot of money for brain damage?" She told herself that they wouldn't be able to attain this number even with all of their money.
"This is a life-or-death situation," the doctor said as he entered the operation room.
Synder arrived shortly after the doctor left to the room to continue with the remaining doctors.
"What is Lucian's current state of health? Is he being looked after? Has he regained consciousness?" Synder inquired about Lucian well-being immediately he rushed in.
"He has a brain injury, and the operation will cost a whooping three hundred thousand dollars , or Lucian will die." Lucian grandmother responded.
"Three hundred thousand dollars?" you might wonder. Synder exclaimed, shocked that the operation would cost that much.
"The doctor stated that the procedure must be performed as soon as feasible due to the critical nature of the issue. We have some money, but I'll have to rush home and deposit them so that the operation may start as soon as possible." She informed Synder.
"Please stay with Lucian so that I can get it, and the doctor will let you know if anything is needed." she pleaded with Synder to stay so she could collect the funds.
"I'm staying with him; I'm not moving an inch from here," Synder said, assuring Lucian grandma that he'll be with Lucian until she return.
Lucian walk out the door and took a cab home to get his operation funds. She was able to raise one hundred and eighty thousand dollars from the bank savings by collecting all of their savings.
She raised her phone and dialed Synder's number to ask how Lucian was doing and for assistance in raising funds for the operation.
"Hello," she responded as soon as he took out his phone.
"Hello, ma,. The doctors have just departed, and he has instructed me to call you right away so that the operation can begin as soon as the advance has been deposited." Synder gave Lucian granny a quick update on the issue.
"I was able to raise a total of one hundred and eighty thousand dollars. It will be deposited into the hospital's account as soon as possible. Please assist in saving your friend's life. pleaded with Synder, "I don't have any other money I can raise." Lucian granny pleaded with Synder.
The secretary stated, "The deposit has been done." she hurried out of the door to hail a taxi back to the hospital.
The doctor was on the other end of the line when the phone rang again.
"Hello doctor," she responded as she awaited Lucian's physician's reaction.
"We've started his treatment since we received $180,000 for his surgery, but there's something we can't obtain." lucian granny came to a complete stop when the doctor said this because it attracted her attention.
"Doctor, what is it?" She responded to him immediately.
"He needs blood ," says the doctor.
"We've already tested his friend's blood, and it doesn't match. He told me, Since you are his last living kin, you are the next donor we can acquire as quickly as possible."
"I'm already on my way," she said as she hung up the phone.
"Hurry up to the general hospital!" lucian granny told the cab driver. She exhaled deeply as tears streamed down her face as she screamed and tapped thee driver's arm.
The cab driver came to a complete stop in front of the hospital. She quickly paid him and walk in via the hospital's stairwell.
As soon as she arrived, the security unlocked the door. While speaking with someone on the side, the doctor noticed her right away.
"Please follow me," he said, as he walked away from the person he was with and led her into a room where she was ordered to sit down as one of the three nurses held her arm.
"First, we're going to teat your blood to see if it's a good match for Lucian, okay?" The nurse said as they began to make their preparations and shortly took ber blood.
"So we'll do a more extreme test to see if your blood group matches Lucian's."
"Do what you think is best!" The nurse elicited a response from her.
After a few moments, the nurse returns to the room where I was being treated.
"Ma'am, the blood test has been completed and it is flawless. Lucian's blood group is the same as yours." As I breathed a sigh of relief, he remarked to me.
"Thank you so much for rescuing Lucian life ." she replied as she gathered the data from them and made her way to the front door where Synder is.
Synder sprung to his feet as soon as he noticed Lucian's grandmother approaching. He took the documents from her right away and went straight to the front desk to clear the deposit.
As he walked to the reception, Lucian couldn't help but worry how the remaining funds would be deposited. He decided it would be better if he called his other friend Jack and asked if he could borrow some money from him.
"Good day....hmmmm I would like to deposit this." Synder addressed the receptionist with courtesy.
"Patient name" the receptionist inquired.
"Lucian Matis" Synder responded immediately.
"Alright. Please take a seat over there while deposit it." said the receptionist.
Instead of sitting, Synder took a step outside and dialed Jack's number for assistance.
"Hello, Jack," said Synder.
"Good day, Synder." How are things going for you? I hope everything is fine? It always seems to be when there is difficulties that you reach out to me." Jack stated
"It's Lucian, my friend," Synder said.
"Are you sure, Lucian?" Lucian? "What occurred?" Jack struck Synder off.
"Yes. Lucian is dying, and we have no money to save him because we have deposited all of our funds into the hospital account." Over the phone, Synder murmured to him, shaking.
"How much do you require?" Jack inquired.
"Two hundred twenty thousand dollars," Synder replied.
"What!!! That is ridiculous." He responded.
"I'll do anything...I don't have any other means or anyone," Synder remarked over the phone.
"Anything?" Jack inquired of Synder.
"Anything is possible." Synder responded to Jack.
"All right, here's the deal. "You'll make at least $200,000." Jack replied to Synder as his eyes widened in anticipation of his next words.
"I'll tell you in person if you come over first." Jack informed Synder. Synder got out of a cab and headed straight to Jack's residence.
Synder continued to breathe deeply, walk quickly, and run at the same time.
"Are you okay, Synder?" Jack inquired of Synder.
"No, I'm fine. "What's the deal?" Synder responded with a question.
.
"The task is straightforward. If you can deliver this box to the wolf in the countryside, he will give you $200,000 for it. So I want you to undertake this task for me and obtain the money for Lucian's health." Synder grabbed the box without asking what was inside.
"Wait a minute, Synder...hmm. Take extreme caution. It's highly probable that the government or wolf opponents were keeping an eye on me." Jack warned Synder.
"Wait, why?" "What's inside this box?" Synder was concerned about why the government and evil groups would be watching Jack and wanting to harm him.
"It's a box full of exhibits and classified documents." Jack told Synder, his hands shaking, before turning back to face Jack.
"Do you no longer require the money?" Jack inquired of Synder, who remained mute.
Jack reasoned that since it was only a document, it wouldn't be difficult, and that it was also his last option. It could save his friend's life. His fears vanished instantaneously as courage filled his bones.. This must be done for Lucian!!!
"Where is the location?" Synder inquired.
"Go to the country side, soon after crossing the bridge, and you'll see the wolf." He will find you, so don't worry. Avoid cops and anyone who appears suspicious on your path until you reach the countryside." With a smile, Jack said to Synder.
Synder knew Jack wasn't worth trusting, which is why he avoided him. When he last needed Jack's assistance, he demonstrated attitudes that indicated he did not like him as much as he does now.... Synder was willing to take the risk for Lucian.
Synder turned and opened the door, fleeing the house with the box in his hands.
He kept going straight, heading for the countryside on foot. He won't be suspicious moving on foot and because he knows the roads. He was a quick runner with a fiery determination to save his buddy from death.
As Synder sprinted, his hair flaring left and right, recalling experiences he and Lucian shared.
"This scout is critical, and I'd like us to put in the effort." My grandmother wants me to attend because she believes she is teaching me how to be a man, but I don't want to be a hero; all I want is to live a simple life." Synder kept hearing Lucian's voice in his head.
He also recalled how they spent their evenings together, performing their favorite activities and visiting places they knew.
Synder came to a halt and chose to relax before noticing some individuals running after him. He was able to keep a good distance from them, but when he recognized them, he jumped up and ran harder, luckily finding an abandoned bike ahead. He started it and accelerated. One of the guys shot at him, but he escaped without any injury.
Synder didn't slow down and accelerated till he reached the countryside. The van stopped in a woody area, looking spoiled and in need of assistance, flashed his light at Synder.
In an attempt to stop Synder, the driver lifted his hand. Synder got off the bike, and one of them got out of the van and approached Synder. He reasoned that this had to be the Wolf.
Synder had no idea Jack could be so harmful because he saw him as a normal friend.
"This must be the wolf's package," the man said, his voice trembling as he blew out his cigarette.
"Yes," Synder said.
He was robbed of the box by the man.
"What about the money?" Synder inquired.
"Money?" Jack has been settled, he replies, pulling his shirt up to show Synder his revolver.
The driver climbed down from the van, closed the van's hood, and started the van as soon as the guy collected the box. They drove off quickly towards Synder as soon as the second guy entered with the package.
As Synder climbed his bike, he sensed danger and began accelerating up as the vehicle shot in his direction. The cops are approaching , he could hear the siren.
The cops stopped the bad men and opened fire, and luckily for Synder, he was wearing a face cap. He escaped the cops, who were unaware of his presence.
He returned to Jack's house, but he was nowhere to be seen. He was curious if he had used him. Being fully aware of the situation at hand.
"Where is Jack?" he inquired of his neighbor.
"I'm not sure, I just saw him dash out with some baggage." He told me he was having a medical emergency." She replied Synder and quickly turned around and locked her door refusing to answer any further questions.
"Medical crisis" Synder's mood quickly changed and he was unable to speak.
He started his bike and returned back to the hospital.
"Hello, gentleman," the secretary said to Synder as soon as he walked through the hospital door. She smiled at him and said, "Welcome back."Inquiringly, "Do you see blood?" She asked Synder whether he had been bleeding all along. It had gotten his attention and scared him. His proximity to her made it possible for her to conduct a thorough examination of him."Oh! It's just a minor cut, come closer and I'll apply this spirit and you'll be fine." The secretary said. Ointment was administered, and the blood was removed."Hmm, I've been keeping an eye out for you," the secretary said. Please find enclosed your deposit for Lucian Matis' Operation". Synder received the piece of paper that she had passed him.Synder picked up the document and thanked the secretary for washing his wound as he left the office. He tried to look up the specifics of the procedure, the payment had been made in full. He wondered aloud whether this was the medical issue Jack's neighbor had been referring to when s
Planet RombusLucian paused, completely taken aback by the simplicity of the space that had been revealed in the absence of the blue box that had been obstructing his vision. The sanitized white hospital room was vanihed, and in its place was something that looked like a dorm room...? It had a little hole in it. A little bed with a nightstand, a sparse desk, a small dresser, and two closed doors–one next the bed and one across the room–were all there was. That was the end of it. There were no machinery keeping him alive, no pipes pumping anything into his arms or checking his pulse. Instead of disinfection, his nose was filled with a subtle sense of cedar and herbs. He looked at the pale arms he was holding in front of him in awe. They were frail, yet they appeared to be in good health. Is it true that these are my arms? He turned his hands over and over, watching the play of light pouring in through the window. He puhed the blanket off his legs and sought to stand with a thought. He
Lucian looked at the screen in front of him and ignored Justin and Adam for a while. They smiled and waited for him to turn back to them. He made a small frown as he looked at his numbers and then looked at the two of them with a questioning look."Quick question… Do I have it right that the average stat for a normal person is, like, ten?"Justin looked shocked, while Adam smiled in agreement. "You're right! How did you find out?“Oh… I just guessed...". All of the average human's stats were 10, but he had four that were 1-2 points below that. He had three stats that were "above average" out of the seven he had. He was pretty happy with how smart he was, though. But since it was one of the few things that seemed to be the same as in his old life, well... It was the only thing he had a real chance to work on.He didn't know what to do, use the luck stat, however. Was it luck that he had to spend time in his life in bed? But still... He was here with a new body, wasn’t he? Perhaps his l
As Lucian moved behind Kevin and Adam, the alarm rang, "Bzzzt Bzzzt Bzzzt.""What's going on, and what's that noise?" the sound pained Lucian's ears, he inquired as to what was causing it."That is the emergency alarm sound and It appears there is a problem," Adam said to Kevin. This alarm signified they were being summoned to the parade as Rhombus' guardians army.As they began to sprint with Lucian to the ground the rest of Rhombus's residents fled in a flurry to safety.Kevin said, "Yes, we have to report to parade asap."Soon, Lucian saw others dressed in the Guardian uniform coming out of their apartment to join them on their way to the parade. The light azure sky was painted by the frosty sky. Snowflakes, or little white specks as they were known to man, swayed in the breeze, slowly dismounting and gilding the soil with their magnificent beauty. As the grains collided with the dirt, a chaotic display of snowy avalanches erupted into the frigid atmosphere, producing a spectacular
The dragon, encased in the blue barrier, extended its mew, unleashing a sea of lethal electric shocks that poured into the barrier's walls. The flurry of the diverging snakes of lightning that tortured the barrier, impaired in an instant, then gradually vanished like a disappearing flame. The three men all confirmed the incident before delivering the notification Lucian had been waiting for."The dragon's power has been diminished.""Young lord, do it.""Deliver the fatal blow."Listening to their messages, Lucian ran forward slowly, and as he approached the obstruction, he swiveled down at the dragon's head.Lucian's zooming silhouette was reflected in the dragon's eyes before his sword impacted its head. "rooooooooooooooar." When the enormous creature felt a splitting twinge on its skull, it reflexively retreated its head, its talons scraping on the torn ground, leaving an extended claw mark.Lucian rapidly made another movement with his sword, aiming at the creature's long neck, bu
Lucian and Synder, as usual, they gathered at their favorite spot. In a departure from their usual conversation, Synder decided to inquire about his trance. Random facts regarding what had happened suddenly filled Lucian consciousness, as if to answer Synder inquiry."As a result, I recall being hit by a truck. After that, I reincarnated into another universe, wondering what I was doing there and, if I hadn't died in the accident, what was I doing here? This is not my hometown."The waiter interrupted them, asking what they wanted to eat, while Lucian was distracted.Synder quickly gave them their customary order."We were taught to hunt wild creatures in order to save our planet and the entire universe. This is something I've been meaning to tell you. I'm tired of this existence; while it's interesting here, it's tedious for someone like me who used to live in a planet where I hunted mighty animals and fought wars."Having lost interest in Everything that was happening, Synder concen
Lucian awoke early as usual . He preferred to do his morning workout in his room; however he changed his mind and stormed out of the room. He dashed in and out of the bathroom in a jiffy. Did a little workout a bit and dress up immediately. He barged out of his room in hesitation. He can't wait to hear the news; perhaps it has anything to do with his reason for being here.Dashing through the staircase he headed straight to the parlor."Where are you running off to, my boy?""Do you think there's a problem?" When he met up with his grandma in the parlor, she reprimanded him for his rash behavior."Nothing, mama; I'm just going to see Synder." He stepped out of the house after receiving that response.Lucian walked along the alleyway, passing by a diverse group of people going about their daily routines.Lucian didn't bother getting into a car because his friend's house was only few blocks away.Ever since he came out of his trance, he has been walking really quickly. During the time t
Lucian couldn't believe the government is ready and the public isn't aware. "It's unlikely to create tension" Lucian Murmured."Are you Lucian Matis?" His sorrow was interrupted by a harsh voice."Yes, may I assist you?" To be honest, Lucian was a little irritated by the guy who had just interrupted him and was about to say something like, 'Where are your manners?' but after seeing the guys' serious business appearance, he immediately lessened his resentment.A large man dressed in a black suit and wearing black sunglasses stood in front of him. He had a tight expression on his face. Two more men, who stood like his subordinates, were following him. They were both dressed in a similar manner to him. The severe domineer that loomed around them, though, made Lucian take them more seriously."Greetings, Mr. Lucian; your services are required elsewhere. Please accompany me. We won't be able to say anything in this room."The man turned around and walked towards the elevator, which was not
