Earlier on, Jayden had thought what he had seen days before to be mere illusions caused by the drug he took. To prove he wasn't going mad, he'd stay up not sleeping waiting to see the same man that had appeared to him. That never happened though, what did happen is that he'd eventually give up and fall asleep.
