A few modifications in the previous chapters title have been made
The beast turned its large back and took the attack head on. It showed how strong its scale was as the attack that would have put most beasts down hadn't done much to it thanks to the hard scale. But this wasn’t an assault battle, infact it was the opposite as Rodney had put his sword back into its sheath after that attack. “I can’t keep discharging such powerful attacks..I can feel the drawback kicking in” he said to himself. He had already closed the distance between them with his hands now coated with the same white energy from before. And just as he was about to land a fist to the back of the gecko, it swung its large tail sending him flying back.He now had multiple openings visible on his body as he had torn his shirt which was already scorched. “Fu*k this...the strain should be the last of my worries right now. That tail of it seems to be more annoying by the second damn it, it seems to be sturdier than the last two” he said. The beast didn't waste time in spitting out its venom
Back at the inn Rodney was struggling to keep it together but it didn't look like that would be easy in any way. Matter of fact he had stood up from his bed and began to stare at the other patients lying around with a crazed look which did not go unnoticed by them. His little action further proved their suspicions. He was indeed running mad. They feared for themselves the most. Being in there with a mad man who could potentially harm them as he continued staring at them one by one suspiciously didn't do anything good for their recovery they all thought. They were ready to call for help if things ever did go south. Well at least that was how much they felt threatened looking at this person now. "You are acting like a crazy person now"..."Huh did that just come from my head?. My brain is speaking to me?!". Rodney thought as he held his head with both hands. This action only further increased the patients anxiety. It was only a matter of time before someone would call for help from one
Rodney now made his way to the dojo, the special place he and Yang would train. And as he walked over to the place, he had a lot on his mind. The new information he had just gotten from Gypson who is meant to be his guide terrified him a great deal. He just couldn't wrap his head around it all. Although the concept behind how Gypson had gotten into his head and what he meant by him saying he was his guide was still yet unclear to Rodney. But he didn't get the chance to ask anything on it as the current thing that occupied his mind had overshadowed the other thoughts making them look to be only trivial."How is this possible...so I'll never able to lead a normal life after all this ends?" Rodney thought to himself as he continued on walking. Being a demon has never been among the things he has fantasized. A zombie maybe or even a vampire but never a demon. This was even more disturbing due to the fact that he couldn't talk to the one person he would usually go to for advice when things
[Equipment detected][Would you like to equip]. Yes/No[Would you like to brand]. Yes/NoThis were the notifications that popped up the moment Rodney's fingers had grazed the equipment. The equipment Rodney saw right now was almost similar in appearance to the beast he fought back at the jungle. Only this time, this was just a mere item and at the end couldn't pose any threat or potentially be capable of ending his life, at least not in his own hands. What got him the most was the fine details the item he had touched had. This item in particular was a chest piece that had green scales on it and extended all the way to his shoulder. The outer texture was a testament to the beast it had come from as straight away Rodney could tell it was the peak intermediate beast he last killed. This was because the chest piece had scales that were red and it definitely looked sturdier than the other two items remaining.Yes, there were two more items laid out that he hadn't touched yet. These items w
Back at the girls room, Blaze and Mia weren't experiencing any more kind gestures kindness and love that the boys lacked. In fact, they both had four of the same men that were in the boy's room currently in their room as well. And just like the boys, these men hadn't knocked nicely and asked that they should be allowed in. They had simply forced their way in by breaking the door quite easily and effectively. "You know these four?" Blaze asked."Know them, you're the crazy one. I was thinking they came over because you invited them. Now I'm kind of wishing you did invite them. Please be you who called them over...". Mia began to chant but that didn't last long as it was put to an abrupt stop by the commanding voice of one of the men. And just like to the others, the two girls were immediately debriefed on what was going on and asked for their cooperation." You haven't told us what we have done wrong just yet" Blaze said with a straight face. Usually she wasn't one to go out looking
Mia and Blaze were currently being escorted by five men who all had their hands on the hilt of their weapons. They weren't going to take any chances as word had gotten to them about the chaos that was ongoing at the male's lodge. The girls seeing their action, could only imagine what the boys were doing now. If not anything, they both had one name on their mind that could single handedly cause all the chaos needed in the blink of an eye."If you are not going to tell us what we did, can you atleast tell us where we are being taken to?" Mia asked the closest to her of which she got no reply as the only thing the man had in response to her question was a deep grunt. Minutes later, she could see the answer to her question up ahead. This was a place both girls remembered quite well, even if they had only been there once.Meanwhile at some other part of the faction, particularly the males lodge, the chaos was yet to settle. Currently anybody who would happened to walk around and stumble o
After deactivating their abilities, they all turned to each other looking at one another before proceeding to raise both their arms to show mutual agreement. On seeing their action, the man in charge turned to his men and ordered that they made way for the boys to pass. And without hesitation, a path was cleared almost instantly for the boys. The man turned to look at the boys once more signalling their path had been made and they were now to walk through now."Let it be known that one wrong move and my little friend here might just have all your men here kill themselves" Blair threatened. But this wouldn't faze the man as he had had it up to here. Without thinking he blurted out his own threat back at the group of boys."This is only a temporary truce. My team and I won't hesitate to chop down any opposition if sited". If there was any hope of things calming down between the two parties, it was certainly thrown out of the window. As now the pressure was now more mounted between both
*Bing*[Substance effect reversed][Immunity developed]"Urgh..what the...where am i. And what's holding me?" Rodney said as he found he was unable to move his limbs freely. He was only just waking up and the first thing he noticed was that he was in a dimly lit space with metal bars standing and serving as some type of wall separating each segment of what he was in now, a cage. He looked at himself and could see that he was chained up to the wall. Both his legs and arms to that effect, limiting his movement to a great degree. As if that wasn't enough, he could feel a slight pricking pain at the side of his rib and multiple places on his back. When he looked down at his ribs, he could see why. The toxic sharp thorns from Damien earlier were still stuck inside of him. But with the way he was restricted, there was no way he could pull it out of him. But that was the least of his worries at the moment as a scary thought entered his mind when he realized something."Guys!!.. Guys!!.." He
