The players present in the room where still in shock after realizing that it was no longer game they were playing but a battle for survival and the only way to survive was by getting stronger. The whole ordeal was taking a toll on some of them psychologically as if it were to be put into context, these were only kids after all.
"You would think this was a dream come true....you know being able to play your favourite game in person?...But this ..this is a nightmare!!!". Blair commented.
The others couldn't agree more as they all shared the same feeling. Someone in particular was having a turmoil but kept a brave face on. There just wasn't a person in the room with them that didn't feel the trauma from the experience they just had. It was truly a terrifying thing for them especially at this age to witness that much chaos and killings that happened.
"My mum....she must be worried sick".. ..." I can't die here, I don't know what she would do if I did "... Rodney thought as he had his fist clenched in determination. It was clear as day that he had some special relationship with his mother, one that was quite strong as well. Being the now only child to a single mother, all he had ever known was his mother which explains why he was so attached to her and thinks about her all the time.
They were all speechless and had a lost look on their faces . Rodney although not feeling exactly calm about the current situation himself, thought it was up to him to say something to calm them down. After all he was the supposed leader of the faction and if any thing, he was used to this kind of role from the online games he would play where he would lead a team on a mission.
Well this wasn't exactly the same situation as back then those people were all merely connected wirelessly to a single network but now in this case, he could actually see the people he would lead physically. But it didn't change a thing as he was quite the natural born leader in the first place though he wouldn't show this to anyone out in the real world where he came from as he was quite known for being a loner.
"Guys we can't just sit here and sulk about what's gone wrong and what hasn't ....clearly we were brought here for a reason and I don't know about you all but I want to get stronger so I can ...". And just as he was about to say something, he got interrupted by a notification, another quest but this one gave him a fright.
*Bing*
[Head to the town square to hear the news that would be delivered by the Game lord]
Another quest in such short time? They all thought. The thought of stepping outside wasn't exactly thrilling to any of them given what they just survived not too long ago from. With the fear that those ninja assassins might still be out there he just didn't have the courage to lead them outside.
"I believe we all got that" Rodney asked. "Who else isn't going?" Rodney added and raised his hand. Thinking to himself how not so much of a brave leader he was right now. But still, his self preservation instincts surpassed that of the leader instinct in him which was actually not even a whole lot to begin with in the first place.
"I might lose their respect but certainly not my life".. He resolved within himself looking at their faces for who else would concur to his decision. It took a while as they all glanced at each other as if waiting for one of them to make the first decision. Well this was a usual habit in a group when a tough decision was about to be madeand although they were in a different world altogether, nothing much had changed about their natural way of thinking.
"We have to go" Erwin the red haired boy said.
"Yeah who knows what consequences awaits us if we ditch or fail a quest?" Blair added..
"Yeah. If it's the game who brought the ninja's, I'm sure it must have taken them back before issuing out a new quest, besides if we don't know what the game lord has to say then how will we even leave here in the first place?" Mia added.
Rodney thought they all made valid points and decided to go on with the quest. "How bad can it get ?" ...he thought to himself but quickly regretted it as bad things had happened not quite long ago anytime they felt optimistic. This was becoming a given in this world now. He wondered if the controlling board of this world hated optimism and good luck. Well that was just a random wild thought he had pushed to the side rather quickly.
"Who's stepping out first?" Corey asked showing he hadn't gotten over the last event just yet. With him being the smallest and the green hair on his head making him look like a small plant, it didn't exactly come as a surprise when he expressed his lack of excitement about being the first to step out.
"On the count of three we all leave, ..one,.....two..." Rodney was about to say three when someone else said it.
"Three!!".. Blair said and dashed out like a maniac towards the town square.
"You were supposed to wait for everyone!!" Rodney said following behind.
"Is he always like that?" Erwin asked with an amused face..
"You have no idea" Mia replied with a face that said she was tired of it all. They all kept running and eventually caught up with Blair who was standing looking and looking ahead with both hands placed just on top of his w*ist.

As they arrived at the town square there was a big difference from when they first arrived. Many people were gone, wasted, brutally killed from the attack earlier. The sight indeed was not one that one would love to be around for long. They looked to hear what ever the game Lord had to say and leave immediately.
Suddenly the sky began to turn red once again. The teens looked less bothered than the last time this happened as then it turned out to be the game lord who appeared. And just like the last time a face with a mask like that of the assassin's that attacked appeared in the clouds."I see you managed to survive the first wave of my attack but I promise you this is one of many attacks heading your way"....."you won't survive this one". The voice said and immediately began to laugh out loud with the sound covering the entire area. Right now it was like a god looking down at puny beings and mocking them.
"Survive which one?" Was the thought on everyone mind as they all feared the worst. Then it became clear what the game Lord was talking about as the Sky's red colour thickened and now looked blood red.
"Run...run...run!!!!!!" Eiko shouted and didn't need to repeat him self as everyone took to their heels.
"Why ....today alone"... Blair complained as he continued to sprint forward. Looking carefully one could see the coloured sky fading but this wasn't a sign that the game Lord was leaving like the last time, in actual fact, this was a different thing set up all together. As the colour was fading, along with it came red looking liquid and making contact with a building, it had made holes through it effortlessly and this didn't stop here as more poured down like rain, it melted the entire building.
"It's larva guys, we can't outrun that as well as the lightning bolts" Eiko screamed. There wasn't just larva raining down, no this was swiftly followed by larva bolts as they had a dark red appearance and struck the same way an actual larva would. If there was anything that was certain, they were in a world of trouble at the moment.
"The end ... shadow knight" the game lord said in a menacing tone and the rain and lightning increased it's descending speed and the whole place lit up red. It was a real show of power and as the place returned to normal the sight in front was terrifying to behold as the buildings destroyed, the dead dead bodies from earlier were no more as they looked to have disintegrated, not a single body could be found.
During the larva rain as the group was running from the chaos that was happening, Rodney had spotted something that gave him hope that they'd survive.
"Hey guys ...follow me!!" He shouted while still running. The others running listened and followed him but soon started having second thoughts as they saw Rodney running straight for a wall. They were about to call out to him but their mouths were left wide open as they saw Rodney disappear into a painting that lit up. Seeing this as their chance they all increased their speeds as the lava cloud was moving in their direction and soon the rain would catch up to them.
Standing off afar in the middle of all the chaos that was going on was the game lord. He gently adjusted his helmet before removing it. Looking at his face now, there wasn't a doubt he was absolutely good looking. His face looked like that of an angel, well except for some few rough edges to it, he was absolutely perfect. His red long hair flowed down all the way to his waist region. His eyes were fiery red and he had a single line that was glowing red on his head. As he turned around, he began sniffing the air like a dog picking up the scent of a bone.
"Bots!" He shouted and a group of assassin's from just like frombefore, up to 50 appeared behind him.
"Find him!!" and they all scattered around the place immediately.
"You can't run forever shadow knight" he said clenching his fist really tight and as he did the lava from before that had fallen to the ground all turned rock solid.
"I will put an end to you this time for good!!!" The game lord declared and then vanished leaving the spot he stood with his foot prints that looked to still be burning up the ground.

n an office high up in a 25 storey building, two men sat across each other. These men could be considered as the city of ZOA's elites. Sitting across the table on one end was Mr Rogers the CEO of Wayne inc, the popular gaming company responsible for the hit game "The heat" and across him was the former mayor of the city, the man who he beat in the just concluded election, Mr Josh."So.. Mr ..eh...Josh to what do I owe the pleasant surprise". Mr Rogers questioned with a smile on his face. He was in a blue suit that not only looked expensive but
The group was seen running through the forest trying hard to catch up with Yang. Yang the purple haired man who had earlier approached the group to help them was moving through the forest like it was his home. His movements and speed was so smooth as he avoided evey branch, log and vines that was in his way. After running for a while, they had entered a cleared out path and could see Yang sti
Blair suddenly started laughing "Haha so you mean you, that old looking man at the back and pretty much everybody in this faction were born here?"he paused and laughed nervously in between before he then said.."we are doomed!...doomed I tell ya!!" went Blair as he went into a foetal position rocking back and forth. No one could blame him, they just got news that they could potentially be trapped in this world forever with no hope of returning. Then it occurred to Rodney that this people had somehow managed to thrive in this place which almost felt like impossible to the teenager giving that a certain boss had been on their tails for a while now.How have they managed to survive?, There had to be more to it right?.ultimately he let these thoughts disappear as they would just lead to more unanswered questions. Now more than ever they needed to get strong to survive and maybe find a way if there was one out of this world. Yang seeing how disrupted the teens wer
The veteran squad was the most elite front line squad of the hunters. They were a part of the warrior unit of the hunters which consisted of the best close up combat ability users and ranged ability users. The warrior unit consisted of range ability and close up combat fighters, depending on the mission, it could be a mixture of both department or just one.It looked like the warrior unit would be going out on a hunt today as they were all seen sharpening blades and gearing up rather than training. This in a way gave Yang an idea. What other way to give the guests a tour of the hunters faction than to carry them on a hunt.He walked up to one of the men standing around taking a swing of his long blade while the others were selecting weapons from behind him."Say how would you like to get an additional boost to your squad today ..I mean it sure looks like you could use some help".The man he was talking to right now was
Off in a different world filled with people roaming the streets going about their different businesses. One could clearly tell that the atmosphere today wasn't just right. How could it be after the recent uncovering of the death that has dealt a serious blow to the hearts of the citizens of Zoa.Wayne Rogers inc, the name of the company that made the game "The Heat" happens to be having an "eventful" day today as cops could be seen surrounding the entire perimeter of the 25 story building. This building is not only famous for the structural designs and beautiful architectural works. But its been rumored to have been standing for more than a hundred years, some say more but with as much rumor that spreads around who knows what's true and what's not?.About rumours there is one going around recently that a particular big name of the "Wayne inc" not just any person but the CEO Wayne rogers himself died in his office. Now what's more bothersome is that his body
If one was to describe the Hunter's faction base with one word, it would be "smooth". At the warriors department one could see the veterans preparing to go for a hunt."Hey Rodney ...have you packed all your supplies"...Mia asked Rodney with a smile that just didn't suit the question..."Yes.."...Rodney answered bluntly and left to move to another area. Looking at what the teenager just did now, one would think he was rude but as a matter of fact he was worried and had no time to entertain pleasant exchanges." That preacher ....he called me the SHADOW KNIGHT"...he thought to himself as he couldn't just seem to get the thought out of his head. No matter what he resolved within himself that he had to find out more about what was going on here. It didn't feel like a game anymore and from what he saw it certainly wasn't a game they'd enjoy even if it was one.Standing off to the side not to far away from where Rodney was a guy with brown hair and two l
The group of 14 with 9 from the legion faction which consisted of two females mia and blaze, and 7 males Rodney, Eiko, Erwin, Blair, Jack, Johan and Corey all walking silently in the forest they were in right now. There was an aura of seriousness coming off of everyone as they all knew what they could potentially face.Zayn turning and seeing the teens all quiet and serious thought to himself that the wave of reality must have come crashing on them as they now knew what they were in for..." A real hunt".But surprisingly the teens where all worried about something else and they all had one picture in their head ..."Larva rain ".. The game lord had sure left a mark ingrained on them that wouldn't be disappearing anytime soon as they all knew it was a matter of time before they'd have to encounter him or his bots again. Which to be honest none of them were looking forward to.Blair being the energetic one amongst them had lon
One of the reasons hunters were advised to stay close and keep communication was because of situations like this, where a small weak team would encounter something tougher than they could handle.Right now the legion merged up with the hunters "E UNIT" to go out on a hunt. And this unit is being led by captain Zayn, a tall muscular man in his early thirties who wields a shovel like weapon."OK guys ...we might not be able to handle this one...but I already called in informing them about the current situation...so we just gotta try to hang on until help arrives"...Even as these very words left his mouth he wasn't sure he believed himself that they could last talk more of the team he led."We've gotta help Blair"...Mia shouted..And almost instantly one of the men from the original "E UNIT" led by Zayn had swooped into action running past everyone so quick it startled them all..The man who had just ran past them was "Senior Jake", as he would like to be called. He was one of those re
