Task 1 - Leap into the abyss - 'Easy-Hell Difficulty' (1)

"... Oh, can you tell me what is the third part of the drill?", I said.

He replied, "I am sending you to a world in the absolute abyss. You must accomplish a task that will be given to you. Remember, this is the last and difficult one compared to the previous two parts of the drill!"

I attempted, "So, what is my task?"

He said, "I will tell you when you enter inside the doorway!"

"!!!!"

The door opened slowly and I gasped in utter disbelief. There was a cliff edge and the view was filled with a new environment. The door was acting as a portal to another world. The dark reigner smiled at me. I sighed and walked into the doorway that was acting like a portal

The door behind me vanished and the dark reigner was not to be found. I looked around and a sudden voice entered my mind, "Now listen to the task that I am about to give you, young lad. This will be the easiest task out of all, that will be given to you from now on!"

I exclaimed, "Okay Mr.Madrona, what is my task!"

The dark reigner ordered, "Boy, you must start addressing me as master from now on. You must also address me as master even in your mind, got it!!??"

I responded, ";;;;... F-fine, master. Can you tell me what my task is?"

He announced, "Your task is to kill eleven mutant asymmetrons and thirty three crooks who are under their wings!"

...

[;;;;... Huh...? Kill eleven mutant asymmetrons that are godly beings and thirty three crooks that are demi-godly beings? And this will be my most easiest task...? Are you serious...? I would say, this is hell difficulty.]

I began to hit my head in a crazed mindset and yelled, "God damn iiiiit!!!!"

I brought myself together and looked at my surroundings. I was standing on the edge of a cliff at a high altitude that was above the sky and the clouds inbetween the sky were acting like a barrier to my view. I was hardly able to get a grasp about the landscape below the clouds. I looked at the clouds, took a deep breadth and chuckled.

[I guess it is time to jump. This can not even be compared to bungee jumping. So, why not proceed with this crazy idea?]

I spoke without even realising, "Cause I am about to take a leap into the abyss!"

I looked above. The image of the space was crystal clear and magnificent. Rocks from big to small were floating inbetween the outer atmosphere. Outside the atmosphere, there was a huge planet that was above the planet I was lurking in. The planet I was standing on seemed like a satellite to it. The sun was on the opposite direction from where I was standing. According to the absolute abyss, the moon resembles daytime. There was a small and white planet inbetween the planet where I was standing and the huge planet. It was resonating lots of light with the white sun's reflection. If I had my human eyes, then for sure it would be nightfall. But having the eyes of an infinito only made it into a day. The remaining view was filled with stars and mist of the outer space. But my focus was on the faraway distances. I was looking at the outer space sighing towards someone.

[Fine master... I'll do it, since my future is at stake.]

I don't know why, but I got a feeling that 'master' was looking forward to my new journey with a smile on his face from somewhere out there.

{NOTICE: From now onwards, the Dark Reigner, Dray Madrona will be referred to as master, since the whole story is in the viewpoint of the main character.}

I closed my eyes. I remembered everything that I studied. Right now, master sent me to a side planet of the huge planet named 'Zooviya'. According to the local tongue of the planet, it means supreme ruler. It was a powerful world with divine gods who preserved justice. Later, the mutant asymmetrons who betrayed master, killed the gods and colonised this peaceful world. Those dark crevasses, created a monopoly inbetween the infinitos. They made a duplicate of the lord of afterlife's masterpiece, system. The duplicate system's compatibility wasn't on the level of the original system. But it was enough to bait in a common dweller.

The system gave everyone the opportunity to grow stronger and become a god. But that only made the people of this world more greedy. Conflicts for the sake of power aroused between them. Everything changed from 'survival of the fittest' to 'survival of the strongest'. Later, the mutant asymmetrons called themselves as the gods and the crooks under them as the demigods.

[The origin entities didn't kill those betrayers for fifty trillion years, because they wanted to use them as punching bags for the new generation. So right now, those mutant asymmetrons and crooks who are known as dark crevasses in the absolute abyss are my training tools. But, if the dark crevasses weren't killed for fifty trillion years, then they must have grown stronger by atleast a thousand fold. If that is the case, then I should come up with a new plan to accomplish my first easiest, yet hell difficulty task.]

My eyes were still closed. I took a step forward and at once... jumped.

---dash---crash---

The force I applied on my foot was too excessive. If it was my'adventurer'self, I would have taken a few steps back and jumped like a swimmer. In other words, it is called 'cliff diving'.

But now that I have lost most of my humanity and gained power, instead of making a cliff dive, I went up to the outer atmosphere and crashed on a huge floating rock. I opened my eyes because I lost focus.

[Damn it... I have to control my power.]

---step---step---

"Phew... !", I took a deep breadth, closed my eyes and focused once again. I revised a past lecture from master.

One week ago, when I was about to began studying and comprehending the knowledge of the books he gave me, he interrupted me.

"Wait a minute!", said my master.

I responded, "What happened, Mr.Madrona?"

He said, "I still didn't imbue the power of Darkened Daylight into you. Without it, you would never be able to comprehend these many books in a week!"

"I should complete all these books in a week?", I asked in a shock.

He continued, "Yes, so now, I am going to imbue my power into you via two authorities!"

I attempted, "Two authorities?"

He continued, "Yes, the first one is the authority 'shape shift'. With this, you can shape-shift into anything you desire. But right now, you can only change the colour of your eyes with it. You can not transform your eye into a human eye.

[... What is the use of giving me such low proficient authority?]

... I cannot waste my precious power on the 'shape shift' authority. For now, the second authority is of the highest priority. You must not waste too much power on shape-shifting!"

I attempted, "What is the second authority?"

Master gave a slight smile and told me the name of the second authority and it's brochure. I was stunned after hearing it all.

Just like that, I finished taking a glimpse on the first lesson. I stood firm, concentrated my power on my legs and at once jumped for the second time.

The force pushed towards the inner atmosphere and later, I went along with the gravity by passing into the clouds. I maintained a high diving pose during my fall towards the planet ground. My eyes were still closed during the long leap. I focused on the present ongoing event.

[The second authority that master imbued in me.

Authority to 'understand'.

The requirement of this authority is to have minimum understanding about Darkened Daylight. And I already understood the first line of master's power from the trail that master conducted. This authority was also what helped me comprehend the books quicker than usual.

It is unlike 'shape shift' which makes a fool out of everyone. Right now, master wants me to prove my worth to everyone who would exchange fists with me but not to fool around.

So, right now I must prioritise the second authority and make the most of it. With 'understand' authority, I could understand how the flow of the darkness inside me unfolds. I could use it to control the flow of power in me if I understand the mechanism behind the flow. I can also gain insight on everything with just a few glances and some info. Master made me study ten books about this planet that is equivalent to five hundred thousand pages. All I need to do now, is to have a glimpse on everything in this world.]

My fall was nearing to the ground. I changed the colour of my eyes back to black and crimson-red and opened my eyes at once. I spread my power throughout the whole body with the help of 'understand' authority. Soon, darkened crimson flames emanated from my body and enwrapped me spherically. From a faraway point to view, it would seem like a crashing meteor.

[Right now, I had thirty five percent of assimilated power. Earlier, I thought ten percent belonged to my mentality, ten percent to my IQ and five percent to my physique. But, that's not the case. 'Understand' authority is being very helpful.]

---booooom---

I landed on the ground with maximum speed and the landing resulted in a huge impact of explosional waves. The waves spread towards the faraway point of views and that attracted many people near the vicinity and also away from the vicinity. The explosion was also visible to the neighbouring planet. I was able to feel their gazes. I was also able to feel the cold stares of the dark crevasses. Thanks to the 'understand' authority in helping me to understand my surroundings. But, I still remained tranquil.

[Fifteen percent of physique, eight percent of mentality and seven percent of IQ. This will be enough to kill a single mutant asymmetron or even a hundred crooks at once.]

And just like that, I began to move forward.

A crook with a boar head, ogre limbs, horse legs and a brown robe with a cap covering it's hair, torso and thighs appeared out of nowhere and knelt down before a huge figure that was lurking in the dark. Only it's eyes that were glowing in black and yellow were visible. The crook said, "M-my lord, the aura ju-just now... It is not who I think it is, right?"

---step---craaaackk---

The huge figure took a step forward. The step cracked the whole floor. It came into light. It was a mutant asymmetron with a gigantic body, black fur and a tiger head. The yellow portion of it's eyes were emanating yellow flames. It said, "Yes, it is...!"

---whoosh---

The tiger head of the mutant asymmetron was enwrapped by yellow flames. It exclaimed,

"A Grand Law!!!"
