The Beginning (4)

[I should never give in to the dark, but hold it in the clutches of my palm. That is the only way I can hold-in 'Darkened Daylight'. That was a nice lecture, Mr.Madrona. Thank you for enlightening me of my true purpose and resolve.]

Everything became dark again. I was caught off-guard with a familiar voice.

"Not bad, young lad... You realised it all by yourself. I thought to give you a hand, but that wasn't needed at all from the beginning!", it was dark reigner.

The darkness around me slowly began to fade away. Soon, I recognised myself standing on a familiar ground. It was the dark reigner's soul dimension. The library with no ceiling but endless height of bookshelves in a circular room. The light was still dim and I hardly able to watch the surrounding. Everything being black made the whole room like an empty space.

---snap---

"!!!!"

I looked at the direction of the sound. It was the dark reigner who snapped his fingers to bring me back to focus. I doffed my hoodie cap, smiled and sat on the black chair that was before the sofa as usual. I still felt uncomfortable on the chair.

[Since I am inferior to him, I should think about sitting on a sofa another time.]

"You sure know how the saying goes everywhere, don't you?", said the dark reigner. He must have read my mind. I still held the tranquil expression.

I noticed myself in a huge library with endless bookshelves. It wasn't circular unlike the dark reigner's soul dimension. There were no walls to be visible at all. Wherever I looked, there were only bookshelves. What's more, many bookshelves were floating in mid-air. There was no end to the area occupied by the bookshelves.

[Is this a bookshelf dimension? Why can't I see the edge of the this world?]

The dark reigner said, "By the way, this is my authority to 'know everything'. Whenever something happens in the absolute abyss, I can just use this authority to know anything that prevails troublesome!"

I interpreted, "Are you saying that this bookshelf dimension is your authority. Whatever happens in your realm, that history would be encoded into a book and stored in these shelves?"

He responded, "Yes, even if a couple in the absolute abyss did something intimate, all that they did will also be encoded here!"

The dark reigner walked forward towards a huge open cupboard of bookshelves that would be ten times bigger and taller than the world's tallest building in my homeland. I also, went along with him.

[This shelf is ten times the size of 'Burj Khalifa'. Why did he bring me here?

The dark reigner turned his head towards me while smiling.

[That smile... No, please don't say it.]

He said, "As a grand law who would succeed the 'Darkened Daylight', you should have basic knowledge about the entirety of existence. So, you should study every book of this gigantic bookshelf completely and memorize them in your mind. You shouldn't miss a single word from these pile of books!"

In the same way, people in the afterlife and absolute abyss had different cores. But, they had the same core in common. The dead had 'Death core' and the infinitos had 'Abyss core'. So, Inorder to become a dark reigner, you should first become an infinito. And before that, you must have your own 'Abyss core'... That is the gist of it. But, the vision was still blurry after ten meters radius. The background was full of grass, trees and bushes. But, the colour green was replaced by blue. The dark reigner said, "In the absolute abyss, the nature is always filled with blue leaves, plants and trees unlike the realm of living where everything is filled with green. And also, most of the stars in the absolute abyss are white in colour and the skies of the worlds where infinitos dwell is always black!"

I interrupted, "Then what about the afterlife?"

He said, "Purple is the colour of nature and the sky is always red. The colour of the stars are mostly yellow!"

[In my homeland, the sky appears red during sunrise and sunset. At that time, the colour of the sun looks yellow inbetween. Those laws are applied even here.]

I exclaimed, "Well, I guess each realm has its own physique and mechanism!"

The dark reigner made way for me and said, "Come, sit on this rock and meditate for a few minutes!"

The rocks weren't any different from my past lives.

All of a sudden, severe bouts of pain coursed throughout my veins. I clearly felt my bones being altered inside me and vomitted blood due to the ongoing rapid changes in my body. It was unbearable without a doubt. I yelled in agony.

"Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgghhh... !"
