She shook with sobs as she reached for him. David shut the door with his foot as he hugged his mother tightly.

"Hey, ma." He whispered.

"I've missed you so much." She sobbed. "I haven't seen my baby so much."

"It's okay, ma, I'm here now." He rubbed her back.

"I was supposed to come for your graduation, but one of my clients had a setback." She said, "I'm sorry, baby."

He had his mother's face in his hands. He wiped her tears and smiled at her.

She touched his face, just to make sure that it wasn't a dream and her son was really in front of her.

"Look how big you've grown." She chuckled. "What kind of mother doesn't see her son for so long?"

"Mum, we've talked about this." He frowned. "We are not going to blame you for things that aren't yours to control."

His mother was a private nurse, mostly for old people who didn't want to die alone in a nursing home.
