Rosie's eyes were on the guards, she wasn't even blinking. If she grabs this one, how long would it take for the others to come at her?

They kept their distance, they knew how dangerous she was.

Their guns were pointed at her, she heard David grunt over and over again, he was suffering in the other room.

"Your boss is heartless." She muttered. "Why won't he leave the boy alone?"

"Maybe you should tell us what we want." One of them smacked and licked his lips. "That way everyone wins."

She rolled her eyes and looked away. If she had a gun, he was going to be the first one she would kill.

Even though she wasn't showing it, she was hurt by each echo of David's pain.

Suddenly, they heard a shooting and everyone turned around in confusion.

Rosie noticed that it wasn't from their colleagues, it wouldn't have startled them this much.

"What's going on?" Rosie asked, pretending to be scared.

"We are under attack." One of the men said to the rest. "Prepare to defend!"
