‘What did you do?’ the voice asked happily.
‘It didn’t work, never mind,’ Huno said.
‘It did. There’s light from outside,’
‘Oh, then come out,’
Immediately, there was a strong pulling force from outside that pulled the owner of the voice out.
Huno widened his eyes, because after he said ‘come out’, a small petite figure stood in front of him.
The figure’s body had a black layer over its skin. After a few seconds, it turned white and some few seconds later the white layer disappeared.
The figure had thick black-colored hair that flowed down both shoulders and black-colored eyeballs. A while later, the black eyeballs turned to blue.
‘You look like a six-year-old kid,’ Huno smiled and said.
The figure was a little girl about six to seven years old.
‘Thank you,’ the little girl said and hugged him.
Huno said nothing and stared at his left arm. When he said ‘open’, the strange patterns glowed with a red color. But now not only was the glow gone, but the pattern was also gone.
‘It’s alright, you must be cold,’ Huno said and disengaged from the hug. ‘Wait a moment, let me get you my other shirt,’
He said and opened up his bag. The little girl stared at him blankly for a while and then looked around.
‘What’s this?’ the little girl asked and ran towards the hill of snow.
‘Wait,’ Huno yelled.
The little girl didn’t listen and rushed to the snow.
‘That’s snow,’ Huno replied and walked over.
‘It’s nice,’ the little girl said, grabbing some with her hands.
She turned to look at Huno, who was walking over while struggling to get something out of his bag. After a while, she looked at her body and then at Huno again.
‘Why is your body having different colors?’ she asked.
‘It’s not my body, I’m wearing clothes,’ Huno replied and got to her, still struggling with his bag.
‘Can I wear clothes?’
‘Yeah, you can. Give me a moment,’ Huno said.
‘Okay!’ she said happily, and almost immediately, an unknown amount of snow rose.
‘What’s going on?’
Startled by the sudden occurrence, Huno asked. He saw a huge amount of snow encircle both of them before encircling the little girl. Some minutes later, the snow fell and the naked little girl had clothes on.
Looking at her body, she frowned. The clothes were almost similar to what Huno was wearing but unlike Huno’s red-colored shirt and blue-colored jeans trouser the little girl’s own were all white and some parts were glass-like or rather were like ice.
‘It’s different from yours,’
‘How did you do that?’ Huno asked immediately.
‘What?’
‘How did you control the snow?’
‘I don’t know, I just thought,’
‘Seriously,’
‘Yes,’ she nodded immediately.
‘Move the snow this way,’ Huno said and pointed.
‘Okay,’ she said happily, and almost immediately, the snow moved.
‘Wow,’ Huno explained and looked at her.
‘Something wrong? You don’t look happy,’
‘Um, no nothing. Can you make it solid?’
‘Solid?’ she asked and bent her neck.
‘Um, make it look like a stone,’ Huno replied.
‘Oh okay,’ she said and looked at the snow.
Immediately, the moving snow gathered together and immediately solidify, looking like a huge rock.
‘That’s nice,’
‘You like it? I’ll do more,’
More snow began moving from the hill of snow gathered together before solidifying.
‘It’s alright I want to figure out how we will get out of here,’ Huno said.
‘Okay,’ the little girl said and walked up to Huno, who kept looking around.
‘Come, let’s check there out,’ Huno said and walked in a random direction.
‘Alright,’ she replied and followed, walking side by side.
While Huno was busy finding a way out, the little girl kept on staring at his right arm. As he walked, Huno’s right hand kept dangling around and her eyes kept following it.
‘What’s wrong with your arm?’ she asked and held onto it.
‘Ah!!!’
Immediately she held it, Huno felt a devastating pain and screamed his lungs out. He fell to his knees, bearing the enormous pain.
‘You!... why did you do that?’.
‘I’m sor... ry, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry,’ she apologized sincerely.
‘Ahhhh!!’ Huno screamed again.
‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ she kept apologizing as her eyes got filled up and tears came rushing down.
‘It’s alright, don’t do it again,’ Huno said slowly getting up.
He still felt a significant amount of pain. Normally, he would have gotten to the ground and screamed for a long time, but a thought came to his mind that quickly made him get up.
‘What will happen if she got sad and loose control in the cave?’
Huno didn’t know what she could do and didn't want to find out from experience. He would rather avoid it.
‘Come on, let’s continue. We should find a way out,’ he said. His face showed he was in pain, but he ignored it and added.
‘Didn’t I tell you not to cry?’
The little girl nodded at him. ‘So stop crying, I’m alright,’ Huno said.
‘But you are in pain. I can feel it, and it’s because of me,’ she said, and the tears rushed out more.
‘Come over,’ Huno said.
The little girl hesitates a little before sluggishly walking toward him.
When she got close, Huno raised his left hand and patted her on the head.
‘When a friend accidentally hurt you, you don’t take it to heart,’ Huno said and asked, ‘did you mean it?’.
The little girl rocks her head and said. ‘No.’
‘Then I won’t blame you for it.’
‘Thank you,’ she whispered.
‘Alright, wipe those tears and let’s keep looking.’
‘Yes,’ she said and wiped her tears.
Huno turned to continue, but the little girl held his shirt and tugged it.
‘Um... can... can you give me a... a name?’ the little girl asked. ‘Please, I don’t like being called, you,’ she explained.
‘Oh, I see,’ Huno turned and said.
He looked at her, smiled, and muttered to himself. ‘What if I called her Mia? (he made eye contact with her) no stop carrying passed luggage with you to the future,’
‘Did you say something?’ she asked.
‘Well, I’m not quite good at giving names.’
‘I’m happy with whatever you give me,’ the little girl held his dress tighter and said.
‘Okay fine, you said the place you were was dark, right?’
‘Yes very,’
‘What if I give you moonlight? No, okay, let’s call you Luna. It means moon, the moon shines in the night sky and so do you,’.
‘Lu...na, Luna, Luna, and Moon...light,’ she repeated. ‘Luna, thank you, Hiro,’.
‘Hiro,’ Huno called out and then said, ‘you know what?’.
‘What?’.
‘We’ll have two names. You’ll call me Huno regularly from now on but if there’s something important, maybe a danger or something is troubling you and you want to tell me, you call Hiro and I’ll understand, okay?’.
‘Okay,’ Luna replied.
‘I don’t want to forget everything just yet, but let’s move forward,’ Huno thought to himself and said. ‘And I’ll do the same. I’ll call you Luna, but if there’s something important, I’ll call Moonlight,’
‘Okay Huno,’ Luna said. Huno smiled and gave her several pats on the head.
‘Um... Huno, I can feel something there,’ Luna said and pointed in a direction.
‘What do you feel?’ Huno asked.
‘The same thing I felt when I first saw the snow,’ Luna replied.
‘Seriously?’ Huno asked, and she nodded.
‘Lead the way,’
‘Okay!’ Luna shouted and walked away. Huno followed behind.
After walking for ten minutes, they came to a wall and in the wall, there was a small tunnel. Luna entered before Huno could stop her, so he hurriedly pursued her. He could barely pass the tunnel and he almost got stuck, luckily he passed successfully.
When he came out, he found himself in another enormous cave but didn’t see Luna anywhere.
‘Luna! Where are you?’ he yelled.
‘I’m here,’ Luna’s voice came from behind a wall. Huno followed and arrived where she was. Red-colored ore filled part of the cave she stood in.
‘Was this what you felt?’ Huno asked, feeling slightly disappointed.
‘‘No, what I felt is that way,’ she said, pointing to a wall.
‘So why are you here? You want those?’
‘There’s an enormous amount of energy in these stones. I feel the same energy in the air, but it’s very thin,’ Luna said.
‘Oh, so you think they are important?’ Huno asked.
‘Yes, I feel if we ignore them, we may regret it.’
Huno thought for a while and said. ‘We’ll have to leave them, though. We don’t have anywhere to keep them.’
‘Oh, that’s true,’ Luna said in a sad tone. ‘Alright, let me take you to what I felt,’ she added and left.
After taking some steps, Huno stopped and turned back. He stood there quietly, staring at the stones.
She rushed back and asked. ‘Is something wrong?’
Huno didn’t reply and stared at her for a while.
‘Luna, I want to try something. Don’t resist and don’t panic, okay?’
‘Okay,’
Huno closed his eyes, stretched his left hand towards her and said. ‘Come in,’Luna felt a pulling force that pulled her towards him and immediately she appeared in the dark place again. But this time it wasn’t dark. She didn’t know where the light came from, but the whole place was bright.'Wow,’What she saw shocked her. The dark place was extremely big. She wanted to go round and see how big it was when she heard.‘Come out,’Immediately, a pulling force came, and she appeared in front of Huno. Before she said anything, Huno said. ‘Go stand over there.’He pointed to a place in the cave that was approximately thirty feet away.‘Okay,’ Luna replied immediately and walked over.As soon as she got there, Huno raised his left hand towards her and said, ‘come in,’. The pulling force came again. Luna voluntarily flew towards him fast and, before she got halfway through the distance, she disappeared. He brought her out, and she appeared beside him. ‘Go twice that distance,’ Huno said,
★★★ ~Two Days Later~ ‘Am I dead yet? No, it doesn’t seem like it,’ Huno thought. ‘But everything is dark. Oh, it’s that again. My eyes are still closed,’ ‘Come on, open up. How annoying I have to wait. What’s this warm thing on my body, well I have to wait. Any minute now, come on. Why is it taking so long? There we go finally, wait everything is still dark. No way! Am I blind? You’ve got to be kidding. How am I blind? I didn't get hurt in my eyes,’ Huno stretched his left arm and tried to sit up. ‘Oh Huno, you are awake,’ Luna’s voice came into his ear. ‘Luna, is it just me or is this place dark? I think I’ve gone blind,’ ‘Hehe,’ Luna laughed softly. ‘What? Is it funny that I’m blind?’ Huno asked angrily. ‘No, no, it’s not, and you aren’t blind. It's just dark in here,’ Luna replied, and immediately there was a rumbling sound. When the sound subsided, light penetrated the space from his left-hand side and Huno found out he was in a cave. A big rock blocked the entrance.
From afar, the young man saw both of them and yelled.‘You guys run, quickly,’By the time the words completely came out of his mouth, he was beside Huno. He used his free hand to pull Huno’s shirt. Huno, who didn’t know what was going, started running while pulling Luna along. He was shocked by the man’s speed, but now wasn’t the time to think about it. ‘What’s going on?’ Huno asked the young man ahead of him.‘Beasts, a pack of five,’ the young man replied. Before Huno could ask his next question, he heard roars from behind. He turned to look and saw three, four-legged creatures rushing towards them. They had orange-colored fur, and they each had a horn on their head. Seeing this, Huno bent down, placed Luna on his shoulder and kept running. The man and his companions were giving him some distance.‘Should we separate from them?’ Huno thought. ‘No, let’s keep going and see what happens,’ he said to himself, and kept running. ‘Huno, they are getting closer,’ Luna said. ‘I’m runn
The next day after eating, they got on the platform and set out. Lee Wei gave directions and Luna followed. After flying for almost five hours at almost full speed, Lee Wei said.‘Let’s land somewhere around and continue on foot.’Understanding his intention, Huno nodded, and Luna found somewhere to land. Huno took her in to keep the platform and then brought her out. She came out holding red berry-like fruits in her hand. She gave Huno and the others some and took the rest. Lee Wei led the way and four hours later they arrived some miles away from a city.‘That’s Blue sky city, under the jurisdiction of Blue sky state, and over there beyond the city is the sub-sect of the Feng sect, the Blue sky state,’ Lee Wei said.‘All sect has a sub-sect?’ Huno asked.‘Yes, about ten to fifteen each. Don’t worry, when you join a sect, it isn’t a must you live in it,’ Lee Wei said.‘What do you mean?’ Huno asked.‘All cultivators must join a sect. It doesn’t mean we must live within the sect ground
A lazy voice came from inside. 'Come in,' Lee Wei opened the gate and walked in with Huno and Luna. Inside was a courtyard, not so big but not small either. At a corner in the courtyard, a man sat on a chair under a tree. He had grey colored hair, a slim-looking body, a mark under his lips to his chin and brown-colored eye balls. He drank tea from a cup and dropped it on the table. 'Lee Wei has seen elder,' Following Lee Wei, Huno greeted, 'Huno has seen the elder,' He bowed his head just as Lee Wei, copying his movements. The elder laughed and said, 'welcome back, how was the trip?' 'It was eventful. I only found one material needed. I'll take it to the inspection hall and deliver it,' Lee Wei replied. 'That's good, and who are your guest?' the man asked. 'Fourth elder this is Huno and his sister Luna, myself and my two juniors who went out have a life saving grace with him, he wish to cultivate and I would like to help him, to repay the kindness he showed me,' Lee Wei sa
Lee Wei walked back with a kettle and three cups in his hands. 'Brother Huno, please this way,' he said and led him to a table. Seeing Lee Wei sitting on a mat in front of the table, Huno didn't know if he should laugh and just followed. Lee Wei turned tea for Huno and himself, after which he raised it up to Huno and then drank. Huno did the same and started drinking. 'I guess the culture in your world is different,' Lee Wei said. 'Yeah, in my world there are lots of cultures. There are some that are closely similar to yours,' Huno replied. 'Oh, probably someone from here went down there,' Lee Wei said. Huno laughed, 'it may be possible,' 'Would you like me to talk about cultivation or you would like to have your bath first?' Lee Wei asked. 'Start now,' Huno said. 'Okay,' Lee Wei said and stretched his right hand towards him. He pointed his right hand to his head and touch his forehead. Huno was wondering what he was going to do when lots of information flooded his mind.
Soon, they were done. Huno took Luna into the space where she used part of the platform as clothes. Huno took off his jeans and wore the bathrobe Lee Wei had prepared for him. After which he went to his room and saw some folded clothes on the bed. The room was simple, almost empty, with a portable size bed, a small clothes wardrobe, a table with two chairs, and a flower vase by the window. The clothes were two pairs of blue trousers and two black and blue robe-like shirts. Huno put the trouser and shirt on, wore a pair of scandals that were beside the bed, and stepped out. On his way down the stairs, he saw Lee Wei and Xue Li playing together. 'Xue Li is quite bold,' Huno thought. Looking at them for some time, Huno felt awkward and went back. 'Oh, brother Huno... we have shown you an embarrassing side,' Lee Wei said. Xue Li turned around to see Huno standing on the stairs going up. 'Oh, senior brother, you saw us?' Xue asked, blushing. 'Brother Lee it's normal for friends to
'Carry me,' Luna said, stretching out her arms. Huno looked at her and she added, 'please,'. He smiled, bent done and picked her up; she wrapped her hand around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder. 'Sometimes you behave like a kid and other times like an adult,' Huno said. 'I'm still a child,'. 'A child that's a lot older than me?'. Luna kept quiet, staring at the side of Huno's face. Feeling something wrong, Huno asked, 'what's wrong?'. 'Will you abandon me one day?' Luna asked. 'Or will you be tired of me?'. 'Don't let insecurity trouble you, I won't,' Huno replied. 'What if you got a family later? have kids and all. Will I still have this place?'. Huno thought and said, 'don't worry, if I have a family you'll be very important to me and them,' Huno said and walked into the bathroom. 'Okay,'. 'What's bothering you?' Huno asked and put her down. 'No nothing,' Luna said. 'Alright Moonlight but if anything is bothering you, you'll come to me immediately, won't you
