I woke up with pains all over my body. I stood up, looked around, and noticed the destruction. What exactly happened here?. I still couldn't make it out, but that wasn't my problem. I wanted to run, but I fell down. Ilooked at my left leg and noticed that it was broken; it was twisted to the left.
I stood up and ran a little bit away from where I was standing, not minding my broken leg, and started digging out the rumble. I kept digging, hoping to find her. I lifted a boulder, and I saw something sticking out, so I dug again and noticed it was her leg. That gave me a little hope as I dug faster, not minding the weight of the rocks and the injury that it was causing to my hand. "Oh, thank God she's still breathing." I happily pushed away the heavy iron on her, looked up, and saw a helicopter coming towards us. "That was a hospital helicopter," I said happily as I carried her in my hand, walking to the end of the building where I saw light. "That must be the rescue team; just hold on, Megumin." We are almost there." I walked slowly, dragging my leg on the rubble. I saw some lab equipment, then I tripped on something. I looked, thinking it was some equipment, but to my surprise, it was Kenji. Yes, I couldn't recognize the half-bloody-messed-up part of his face, and the other side was crushed, but I knew that the heavily red hair anywhere was Kanji's. Kenji was one of the inmates at the facility. I remembered that he sacrificed himself to protect us and was supposed to be crushed since the building collapsed, but how could his body come above ground? It was supposed to be under the pile of rubbish, and seeing it made me throw up. I gently dropped Megumin and quickly reached for Kenji. "Kenji, can you hear me???" I screamed and tried to pull him out as he moans softly in pain. "I'm going to get you out; just keep breathing!!!" In panic, I held his shoulder and tried to pull him harder. My hands slipped on his bloody body, and I fell down. I stood up and tried again, but I pulled out the upper part of his body. I threw him on the ground, and I screamed fearfully. It was only the upper part of his body; the rest was missing. His blood flowed slowly to me, and I moved back quickly, trying to avoid the blood when my hand touched something. I turned around and saw an arm. I looked to the other side; there were some parts of the body.. It was a ripped part of the inmate's body. "Ahhhhhh!!!" I screamed and held my head. I just can't take it. I stood, carried Megumin, and ran towards the light. I kept running till I slipped down the pile, hit my head on a stone, and fainted. * * * I woke up days later on a hospital bed and noticed a child staring at me. She was about twelve years old. Her hair was so long that it almost looked like it was touching the floor; her eyes were bright purple; and she had a cute, innocent face. She looked delighted. "Where...am I?, and who...who... who are you?" "Well, that's rude. For someone who saved your life, the least you can do is say thank you." "Okay, thank you, but where are we?" "That doesn't matter," she said as she stood up, walked up to me, and pointed to my face. "I'm Mira Tokoyami, the daughter of Natski Tokoyami, the dark magic sage, and from now on, you are my slave." Okay, I was wrong. She was a spoils child. "Slave???!!!!!!" I asked surprisingly. "Please, I don't have time for this. I need to check if Megumin's okay." I stood from my bed, but she ran and held my hand. "You need to rest; you can check on her later." "No, I want to go now. Let go of me!!!" I shouted at her, trying to shake her off. We both stopped as we heard a knock on the door. A young lady opened the door and entered. She was in her early twenties. Her hair was nicely braided, and her eyes were beautiful. She was wearing a suit, which shows her curves quite well. "I'm here to see you" she was referring to me. "And, who are you?" I asked. "I'm an interrogator, and I'm from the ASE, London," she informed. "And I'm here to ask you some questions." "Why?" I asked. "Can we sit down first?" The interrogator asked. "Sure." I sat down on the bed, and while she took a seat on a chair beside the bed, Mira stood beside me. "Can you remember anything that happened when you were there?" She asked. "A name?, a face description?, anything that can help us?" "I don't think I do," I replied. "Try!!" She yelled, bringing her face closer to mine. "We just need something, anything." "You are too clo..." Mira tried to stop her. "You are not the only one there, and you know that. There were other children, just like you. They all died. Don't you want justice for them?" I was beginning to freak out; she was putting me under too much pressure. I don't want to remember what happened; I don't want to think about it. My heart started beating faster, and my body was shivering. I was going insane. "Please, stop. I can take it anymore," I said, but she just wouldn't stop. "I think that will be enough for today," another lady said as she walked in. "Don't you think he's had enough, Elizabeth?" "Miss Tokoyami!!" Elizabeth stopped as she bowed her head with respect. "I was just asking some questions." "I can see that." Miss Tokoyami smiled at her. "Do you want to be my shadow?" "I'm so sorry, Miss Tokoyami," Elizabeth bowed her head continuously apologetically. "Sorry, I lost my composure. Why don't I leave and come back tomorrow?" "Sounds like a good idea," Miss Tokoyami replied, and Elizabeth left. Miss Tokoyami walked to me, but I was still shivering while Mira tried to calm me down. "Poor child, don't worry. You can rest now," she said to me, and suddenly I fell asleep. * * * I stood on the other side of the lake; it wasn't too deep, but it was wide, creating a distance far enough for me not to see her face, but I knew that was my mom. "Mom," I called, and I attempted to swim to the other side to meet her. "I'm coming; wait for me." "Don't come here," my mother shocked me with her words. "Stay back; don't come any closer." "Mom, what's wrong?, It's your son, Kakashi" "You are not my son!!" I was shocked. I stood there without moving, and my body became frozen all of a sudden. "No son of mine will live happily forgetting about his sister, Where is Your Sister, Kakashi?, Where is Tokah?" That was the first time my mother yelled at me; she was usually sweet and caring. "I don't know where she is. I tried to stop them, but I just couldn't; I was not strong enough." "Stop with all the complaining; you are not my son; that is until you find your sister." Tears rolled down my cheeks. I felt a pain in my chest, and I placed my hand on my chest, holding my shirt tightly. "I promise you this: I WILL FIND TOKAH." "Brother, are you looking for me? I hope I'm not in trouble." I turned my head slowly and saw her not far from me. She was wearing a tattered, dirty white gown, and her long, rough white hair was covering her face. "Come, Tokah, you got me worried. Were you out playing in the dirt again? Remember what mom said? You're a girl, so act like one." All of a sudden, she started running the other way from where my mother was. "Catch me, brother; if you want me to come, you'll have to catch me first." I ran after her desperately; I needed to get back to my mother. "Come, Tokah, you are going the other way. Come please!!!" I called her desperately. "TOKAH!!!!!!!!" I woke up, so it was a dream. Is mom trying to make me find my sister?. "Kakashi, why are you crying?" Mira asked, and she looked worried. I touched my cheeks and noticed tears on my face. "I was crying." I said this to no one in particular. "You were also saying a bunch of weird stuff too." She brought her handkerchief, wiped my tears, and put it back in her pocket. "You should come with us; the doctor said you're free to go."All of a sudden, she started running the other way from where my mother was. "Catch me, brother; if you want me to come, you'll have to catch me first." I ran after her desperately; I needed to get back to my mother. "Come, Tokah, you are going the other way. Come please!!!" "You wanted to meet your friend, right?. Let's go and see her." She gave me a T-shirt and black trousers. "You should change first." I changed my clothes as she turned around. I could still see her stealing gl
"You don't have to work hard to prove anything to anyone; as long as you are satisfied with what you have done, it's alright; just leave the rest for me." "You don't have to work hard to prove anything to anyone; as long as you are satisfied with what you have done, it's alright; just leave the rest for me." She smiled in admiration and asked for my name. "Please, mister, what is your name?" "My name? Why do you ask?" "Because, when I get admission into the academy, I'll like you to be my teacher." "If you say so." I acted cool, but on the inside, I felt like I was going to explode with joy. My first admirer, I'm so proud of myself, I just hope by then she might have grown up and have big... No, I mean just big. "I'm Kakashi Yami, just try your best to grow up big and strong, okay?" "Yes!!" She yelled, energized, "Thanks again, and buy." She waved at me before running off happily. The revitalization machine was used on Megimin instead, and she told me she would be restored in ab
I walked into the room and looked around. There was a wall clock hanging up, just beside the kitchen, which was behind the door. Walking to the other door, I saw opposite the kitchen, the bathroom. There was some shampoo and stuff, but I didn't mind. There were girls clothes hanging everywhere, but still, I didn't mind. There was food in the kitchen, but still, I didn't mind. The girl could have left it when she left. Mira said she left the school. I filled out the form; there were some trick questions that I didn't fully understand, so I skipped them. With that, I packed the clothes that were on the bed close to the window so I could have a view of the school at night. It was less busy, but there were still some students who were around. I took off my clothes, took a bath, and laid down on the bed. This was the first time in four years that I had slept on a bed. Usually, we lie on a blanket in the big hall, so everybody sleeps together. It was always hot at night, especially in t
"Well, you being there helps the school get more jobs from the government, which increases the school's revenue. But the student gets an increase in salary and maybe a promotion, but it's based on your skills." "You mean the more exchange programs I participate in, the more I can get promoted?" I asked. "Yes, and don't forget the salary. If you get promoted, you can get access to authorize information." "What do you mean by authorize information?" "Information no one can access" she answered. "That mean I can find my sister?" I said to myself happily. "Did you say something, Kakashi?" "No, nothing. I know what to do," I said seriously. I remembered that Elizabeth left yesterday after Natski stopped her, she was supposed to come back today.
Tokah came back hours later, she seemed pale like something bad happened to her. "Tokah, what happened?" I called on to her, but she didn't respond. "Tokah!!!, You scared me. I thought we agreed that you are coming back before nightfall" She didn't answer me she kept walking straight to our house, I ran and held her hand, she held my hand and threw me against a tree, I fell on the ground coughing blood, Tokah looked at me, and suddenly she returned to her normal self and ran to help me. We got home and I asked her about what happened. "Big brother, I made a friend outside the barrier" she happily informed me. "Outside the barrier!!!!!, Who is this friend of yours?" "It was a young lady, she comes into the forest with her father to cut wood and takes it to the city" Tokah came closer to me. "Guess what brother?" "What?" I asked confused
"What you did isn't it enough?" My mom replied crying, I've never seen her like this after that day we left the village. "My dad disowned me, you humiliated me and chase me out of the village. I'm just trying to forget about everything, so please, LET US LIVE IN PE....." My mother was cut short of her word when the third man stab my mom in the stomach in a dagger. I rushed angrily at them, they were shocked, maybe surprised to see me. He pulled the dagger out of her and went for me instead, I jumped down the stairs and just as the moment he was about to stab me my mom called out to me, he got distracted, and I used the opportunity to bend sideways allowing me to avoid his attack, I caught his hand and drag the dagger and threw it away from sight before using my left leg to kick him behind his knee, he kneeled down, and I kick his face, sending him flying across the room. The other guy caught me from behind and hit me on the floor, using his weight to put me down. My mom tried to fig
"This is the day you'll all be set free!" An ugly looking man who should be in his late fifties shouted. He is the same person who has going on and on about us saving the world, that we are chosen, he was just trying to motivate children whose spirit are already broken, if he wanted to be a hero why didn't he do it to himself, instead of dragging along a bunch of kids who don't care. "Today, you'll be set free to make the world better with your new supernatural powers. The supernaturals, they placed themselves above us, rule over us because they think we are weak, NO. This proven that we are strong, you are the proof. But since they are trying to stop us, trying to stop us from our right, we have no choice but to fight. But we have one problem, because they made our way of fighting back illegal...so we have limited resources, which can only work out for twenty people" Kenji raised his hand up, waving it, signifying that he wants to ask a question, he stood up an
"Kakashi, don't blame yourself. What we did was right" Kenji said and pointed at an emergency exit hidden somewhere at the end of the hall. "Go, there is an exit there, just break that wall" "What about you Kenji, what are you going to do?" I asked, my body was shaking as a bullet bruise my left hand, I held it moaning in pain with Megumin still on my lap. "Why don't you come, let's go together?" " No, take Megumin. She is low on chakra so she can't heal quickly and at this rate she might die" Kenji warned me, and he kneeled down beside and gave Megumin some of his chakra. "Why did you do that?" "I can't survive, not with an injury like this" Kenji moved his hand a little from his abdomen and blood rushed out. " But at least, I'll be able to save you" "But why?, Why would you do such a thing" "You remember my brother, Kenji right?," "Yeah, I'm still confused why you and your brother have same name"
