As new leads on the investigation keep resurfacing Gabrielle is caught on camera leaving the scientist's house a few minutes before the arrival of Glass. Information reveals she was a lover to Mr. Gastor a medical doctor but went missing ten years ago. She is a widow with a daughter named Neska. Her daughter is called in for questioning and she says “I believe my mother was dead even though her body was not found now she is told her mother is alive but as a vampire”. A team is sent to her house for surveillance. Glass keeps getting more and more jealous of Zach and Lauren he makes a move to steal Zach's blood from the laboratory to sell to Gabriella so she can kill Zach. He reaches out to Gabrielle about the venue and time. Immediately after the close of work, he hurries to the venue in an uncompleted factory Glass gets there first observing the environment. Some vampires were at the scene when it was confirmed he is alone Gabriella shows up with four more men. “What I don't understand is why you will betray your colleague” Glass replies “ I am fighting for who I love” Zach does not belong here. I want him dead Gabriella says “What makes you think I can trust you? First, you are human. Did it occur to you that I can kill you and collect Zach’s blood? I can give you more than just his blood because you're not certain you will be a day walker by injecting yourself with his blood. He heads back to Lauren's house and she is fast asleep. He lays down next to her cuddling her as he kisses her forehead.

The Sayia authorities arrive just in time to arrest the remaining criminals and take them into custody. Zach rushes to help Lauren he has to turn her immediately or watch her die she is running out of time. He asks Edward to stop him when he notices she is going pale. He takes the bite at the same point for a while and stops as he succeeds in draining the venom from her system she is rushed to the hospital. After a while, Zach was informed by the Doctor that she is stable and the fetus is fine as well. Zach is a confused fetus??? Yes, she is three weeks pregnant. He enters the room Lauren is still sleeping he kisses her on the forehead and her eyes open she says “Are you okay”
