We were on the eighteenth floor when the elevator suddenly stopped. Therefore, we all looked up and pressed all the buttons there, but it looks as if it had a problem with the engine, or it malfunctioned or suddenly lost power. Simon suddenly appeared in front of me. He was panting and sweating profusely. He quickly grabbed my hand before I completely fell. “Sixto, are you alright?” he asked, but I didn't respond to him because I didn't expect his sudden appearance. Luigi could hardly believe what he saw, and suddenly, he sat on the floor. “What did I see earlier?” He said as he looked in our direction. I immediately stood up and peeked out the window, but inexplicably, all the zombies suddenly disappeared. Suddenly, the whole road became clean and regardless of where I looked, there were no zombies to be seen. “Where are they all now and why did they suddenly disappear?” I was curious and Simon and Luigi approached me at the same time, and then they peeked through the window. Even they couldn't believe it when they saw that the zombies weren't there, so we exchanged glances at each other with a look of astonishment on our faces. While Luigi and I were standing behind the door, we suddenly heard a horn from outside. We exchanged glances at each other, and then we ran to the window. We peeked outside and saw a garbage truck at the bottom. Furthermore, we were surprised at first, but when Simon peeked out the window and then waved at us, we immediately realized that he was the driver. However, it is still a puzzle to us how they got there or how they got down with such a short rope, and it did not touch the ground. We screamed of joy when we saw that there were no more zombies following us, but we noticed that all the trash was scattered in the middle of the road. We almost emptied the entire truck but left a lot of mess in the middle of the road. “Why do you look like that? Aren't you happy that they aren't following us anymore?” Luigi asked me curiously when he noticed that my facial expression suddenly changed. “I don't know. I can't understand, but it looks like our strategy was wrong.” I replied that he shook his head with a look of astonishment on his face. “What do you mean? Didn't we do the right thing and stop the zombies chasing us?” he said, while I focused my attention on the road while observing the garbage scattered around us that could cause great inconvenience to other people. I tried to stop Luigi, but he just ignored me and then continued walking away from us. I sighed as I turned to Simon where he was back inside the truck waiting for me to get on. Furthermore, I wanted to chase Luigi, but it appears that he has already made up his mind to stay away from us, and he doesn't seem to want to join us anymore. Moreover, I wasn't supposed to go with Simon, but I was forced to because the girl was there as a result of my big mistake and decision in life. That night we looked everywhere for Luigi, but it wasn't easy as it was dark everywhere we went. However, we did not give up. We just continued to look for him while Simon slowly moving the truck. Not far away, I saw a black van. It just stopped to one side with its door open. I signaled to Simon to stop the truck for a moment, and then I immediately got down to approach the black car. I carefully examined and observed it. It looks like a brand-new car, and it's still full of gas. But why was there no one inside, and why did he just leave his car key here? We realize that the place we are now is infested with zombies. Due to the darkness of the area there and the thick fog, we did not immediately notice that we had entered a dangerous area, where many zombies were scattered around. Because of that, we cannot leave where we are. It is also not possible to operate the car as it will only cause a loud noise, and it will only get the attention of the zombies there. We stayed there for a while and waited for the zombies to leave, but they seemed to be getting closer to where we were. “What are we going to do now?” Rita was curious as we looked at the zombies passing in front of us and through the window.
