“Laura. My name is Laura.” The woman next to me whispered to me. I turned to her and our eyes met. But I also immediately avoided looking at her eyes and turned my attention to what was happening outside.

A short smile drew on my lips, but I didn’t show it to her. I also felt excitement from my heart that seemed to jump for joy. However, what I felt for her, I put aside first and did not pay attention. I was afraid that I might not be able to protect her and that she might disappear from my life, as well as the departure of people who have been a part of my life before.

So, I didn’t send in my feelings for her. Instead, I took courage in front of her and pretended not to care about her.

Soon the armed men left. I heard her sigh and she seems so scared. But I did not look at her, but stood up and barely peeked outside.

“Who are those people?” I was shocked when she approached me and put her shoulder on my arm. So, I step away from her a little and didn't look back.
