Simon's POV
“Are you running away from us? Where is what I made you do? Where did you take everything I gave you?”

“I don't want to. I want us to stop and surrender to the police. Surely, they will understand us if we tell them the truth, right?” I said as I knelt down in front of them, but I received a strong kick on my face causing me to fall and lay on the ground.

“You hear what you're saying? Do you think they'll understand if we tell them we didn't kill him purposely?” he said, and he kicked me in my arm all over again.

Due to poverty, I stopped my studies. I'm the eldest of ten siblings, and I'm the only one my siblings look up to because my father doesn't have a good job, and he's drunk every night. While our mother, who was supposed to take care of us, was addicted to gambling and always came home drunk every night. So if I don't make a way and work, we will surely all die of hunger and thirst.
