“Laura, can you please give this to Sixto?” Ruana said to me after she handed me a biscuit and a bottle of water. I nodded my head and immediately went to where he was. But I stopped when I felt I stepped on something. Because of that, I looked down at the floor and saw an old wallet. I picked it up and opened it to find out who this wallet belonged to. “Wait, this wallet belongs to Sixto?” I whispered to myself when I saw his picture there while he was in his school uniform. I smiled at his picture and was about to close it, but suddenly a picture fell from his wallet. Furthermore, I immediately picked it up from the floor and stared at the woman in the picture. I was almost stunned, and my eyes widened in shock when I recognized the woman in the picture. She is the old woman I ran into before. But why does Sixto's have the picture of her? And what he's relation to this woman? While my mind was wandering, my attention suddenly turned to Sixto when he approached me and took the wall
Sixto turned to me in surprise, but I was unable to explain to him when Hunter suddenly punched him in the face at the same time he grabbed the gun from my hand and pointed it at Sixto which shocked us all. “Put that gun down.” We all turned our attention to Ruana as she pointed her gun at Hunter's head. He grinned and slowly lowered his hand as Ruana took the gun from him. “Do you think it's my fault? Didn't you see what he did to me earlier? It's almost like he's praying for that monster to kill me. Not even one of you dares to help me. What else shouldn't I be surprised if you all want me dead am I right?” Hunter said as he turned to look at me, but I just looked down when I suddenly noticed his blood dripping from his right arm. Therefore, I covered my hand and walked away from him. They all looked at me with a look of astonishment on their faces. Until they realized what I was looking at, and they all moved away from him. Hunter frowned and looked down at his arm where he reali
“Sixto we have to go.” Ruana said to me, but I didn't listen to her, instead I focused my attention on Laura where the zombies were slowly devouring her. She did that to give us time to escape from the zombies, and with so many of them, I'm sure our guns will lack ammunition to knock them all down. But why did she decide to do that, and why did she sacrifice her own life? Suddenly, I turned my gaze to Zero who was by my side where he was just stunned by Laura's whereabouts and was not even doing anything to stop or save her. So in my anger I approached him and grabbed him by his collar while I looked at him intently. “What did you say to her, and why did she decide to do that? Why are you here and why did you just leave her there?” I said to him angrily, and he was obviously weakened of what happen to her. He slowly looked up at me with tears in his eyes.“He did that because of you.” He said that makes me curious. Ruana approached us and pulled us by the arm to leave. “What do yo
“Why did you kill him? What did you do to Ace?” My eyes almost widened in shock when I was suddenly accused of killing someone I didn't know very well. What is he saying, and why do they look so angry at me? And who is the Ace he is referring to me? The sailing in my mind as I looked at their faces one by one. From the end I noticed Zero sitting there as he grimaced looking at me. Did you even manage to smile after what you did last night? He must have planned all this so that they would be angry with me and get me out of here. I clenched my fist as I looked at him when I suddenly felt a strong blow from Sixto's angry fist. Because of that, I lay down on the floor while I was looking at him in wonder. “What did he do to you, and why did you kill him?” Sixto asked me as he firmly held my collar. I tried to remove him from my front, but his grip on my clothes was so tight that the fabric on the side of my shoulder was almost torn. “What are you talking about? What was killed? I didn
“Let go of me!” I struggled as the two men brought me into the cell. I was stunned when I realized that Ruana and Kaiser were also there, where Ramon's group also arrested them. Furthermore, I thought he was dead, that's why I was so surprised when he appeared in my sight and killed Zero. They pushed me inside, and I just sat on the floor. Ruana and Kaiser approached me at the same time, they helped me to stand. I thought we were the only ones there, but when I looked around I realized that there were a few others there, survivors like us. There are young men, women, and elders. “Where's Zero? Why are you alone?” Kaiser asked me while I bowed and shook my head. “I couldn't save him. Ramon killed him.” I replied that they surprised him, at the same time he clenched his fist. “We should have killed him long ago. If I had known he will do this to us, I would have shot him that day.” Kaiser said with a frown. I turned my gaze to Ruana and noticed that she had a wound on her left hand.
The people who were with us inside the cell were looking at us intently. They all are seemingly outraged with me and try to avoid me, even though I can't fully understand why they do that or why they don't want to be with me. “What's wrong with the people here? Why they are staring at us like we've committed a grave sin against them.” Kaiser was curious as we sat in a corner and ate a biscuit. I turned my gaze to the old man who was staring at me, and he looked hungry, so I handed him what I was holding. He was about to take it, but the man immediately stopped him, and then he took the biscuit from my hand and stomped on it which surprised me with a look of astonishment on my face. “What do you think you're doing?” Kaiser said angrily to him. I stood up and stopped him by the arm. “We don't need food from evil people like you.” He said that we were even more surprised. “What did you say?” Kaiser said to him with a frown while still clenching his fists. We didn't pay attention to th
“What do you think you're doing?” We all turned to the voice we heard, where we realized it was Ramon. He looked around at our situation inside and noticed the man lying on the floor, writhing in pain. “We need stuff.” When I said that, he turned to me, he grinned and came closer to me. “And why? What are you planning to do? You want to save him?” he said with an insulting smile on his lips. “If we just let him go, he could die.” I replied, at the same time he laughed loudly and clapped his hands. “You? You're going to save this old man? Don't even bother to save him because he'll just die too. Didn't you hear me? Everyone, go back to your places.” He said, and the people immediately followed him where they just ignored the sick old man. I clenched my fists and looked at him intently. He turned to look at me again and just laughed at my angry expression on my face. They were about to leave, but I immediately chased after him and grabbed his arm causing him to stop and turn to me.
I immediately stood up and ran to her. I held both of her hands to stop her, causing her to turn to me, and we met each other's eyes. My eyes almost widened in shock when I saw her face. An old woman about the same age as the old man I treated. But why is she doing this to him, and why does she hate him so much? She let go of the knife she was holding, and then she stared at her hands that were stained with blood. I could clearly see her shaking in fear and when she discovered what she had done to him. Suddenly, she screamed while covering her ears. Therefore, our companions inside woke up, and they were very surprised to see what happened. I turned to the old man and checked his pulse to see if he was still breathing, but I just backed away when he was probably dead. Ruana and Kaiser immediately approached me, they too were shocked to see the old man's bloody body. “What happened here?” Kaiser asked, but I didn't respond to him, instead I was stunned as my hands trembled in fear.
