It was as if an invisible energy was pulling them toward each other. But moments, even only a few seconds, that their faces were romantically near, awkwardness intervened. Dreygo and Elaine mutually pulled themselves far from each other.

Her cheeks flushed in the process. Dreygo's heart thumped fast, hammering against his chest. As if he was fighting against a Demon Lord or the mystical beasts in hell.

Suddenly, the screeching sound of tires appeared from outside as a car halted abruptly. They were startled by the abruptness. The sound could have carried danger.

Peeking between the gaps of the blinds, Dreygo saw a black SUV parked in front of the house. Looking for the nearest weapon was his priority. The only weapon near him were kitchen knives.
