The fire that danced on top of the torches inside Nebirus’ cave had grown, almost bursting. Its flames reached ends that never reached before. The halls tremored, and bats flew in all directions, finding their way to exit. Nebirus just sat on his throne, awaken as the tremors loomed.

Nebirus was startled by his peaceful passivism. He knew what was coming, and he knew who. He was ready, or he thought he was. The glowing flowers that heaved the hall danced as the tremors increased in its magnitude.
