A door slid open and made way for a dark chasm. A platform awaited them after the door and they stepped in. The platform hovered in the air and moved downwards through a wide space of dark environment and a bottomless pit. Not even the walls could not be seen. Pylons hung precariously scattered within the vast space held by high-tension wires and a source of illumination. The platform literally flew downwards and they held themselves on the available handles preventing them from falling. On the far end of the chasm, one could find the levels of floors constructed way down below. Only a golden wall with the same doors that opened them to the chasm could be seen with directional lights, an offering of safe passage that one could be guided with. Viriel held the controls of the platform as it moved. More of the flying platforms float with Souls and Angel warriors on them hovering back and forth bringing about random things. Everyone seemed to be preparing for the worst, as they were tol
Nethaniel knew about the underground tunnels. They have set traps below them. Traps that could kill an army and collapse the tunnel in between Decadia and Manuheim. Nethaniel coordinated with War generals to increase the scouts at eight-kilometer radial distance from the shields and possible entry points inside the city. They continued monitoring on Mierka Mountains, treacherous hills from Decadia to Manuheim for anticipating the enemy spies. The dark cloud that swirled above the Demon army increased its size and every minute of it gave horror to the angel warriors. But these warriors do not succumb to their fears. Fear to them was lesser Faith and it had to be eliminated for one should portray loyalty to Heaven and its Supreme. The greater your Faith, the greater was your loyalty to the Supreme, and eventually the lesser fear. They were trained for hundreds of years, some of them half of a millennium to become better warriors for this coming war. Nethaniel do not fear of a million D
The tremors had loomed, shaking the ground stronger. The march came into a sprint as Nethaniel assumed. It grew stronger and stronger each time every waking minute. The war generals continued their words of motivation. Faith was mentioned a few more in all their statements. Nethaniel heard the prayers of the angel warriors grew stronger and all were addressed to Arkeus. The prayers remained unanswered but he could feel the air of Lord Arkeus’ grace had mantled the atmosphere provided comfort and strength and the motivation to offer life for the realm, for the balance, and for the pursuit of peace. Nethaniel thought of Dreygo and Elaine. Such participants were vital for the possibility of conjuring the spell as a solution to the worst scenario. A life for a life was the bargain that Elaine and Dreygo accepted. All Demon Lords should perish for the forbidden spell to work. With such greed and chaos, a sacrifice is a must but it should be worth it. For eternal peace, he th
The First Realm Wars, Four Milleniums from the start of civilization on Earth (Ecclestas Era), had given history a lesson - Even as a god, an architect of worlds, could fall to the levels of humans, letting Greed take him over; a sin far older than these deities. The battle took place in Hornstrong, before the time of The Gate where portals can be opened anywhere in Heaven Realm. It took a hundred thousand Angel warriors in defense and five hundred thousand Demon warriors as the conquerors. Kragus had his Demon Lords and Arkeus had his First Generation Ranking Angels. Zudkiel and Ezek where the first ranking angels of the First Angel Warrior generation and second ranking angel warriors – Stoic and Mierka (Where the names of our famous mountains came from in memory of the fallen). The battle took place with insurmountable magnitude force crashing against each other until the other breaks. The fight shook the Heaven realm. Lord Nebirus of Earth and Lord Arkeus of Heaven f
The tremors ended after an assembly of two hundred thousand demons spread like grains in the sand before them. A vast army one could see but such number only matched the Angel Warriors who only slightly suffered from the first waves of the worms and of the wraiths. Nothing to fear, Nethaniel thought. But with his great discomfort loomed not from the army assembled on the front but the concerns on their rears. The Large pylon that powered their shields that only five hundred best warriors guarding them. Thinking of the traitors and of warden Ezek, they can easily infiltrate through their defenses and high probability of destroying the crystal, hence nullifying their shields. The Warmammoths came forward as the demon army divided to provide such wide pathways for the gargantuan beasts. Their stomps could kill forty demons with one step. Their heights ranging from fifty meters to seventy. Their horns, not that of elephants but sharp Enchantium blades that can slice an entire tower
“I see you make fine traps. You are known for it, traitor.” Nethaniel said without struggling his feet for freedom. He knew freedom was not a price for the taking this time.“You are so predictable, Nethaniel. You are always a good soldier of Lord Arkeus.” Melekai appeared from the dark. His silver armor gleamed against the faint light at the center of the room. He wafted his sword playfully in front of him. A mischievous grin curved on his expression as if it never left.“Why choose the wrong side, Melekai? Huh! You are always jealous of Viriel to be the best among the third ranks. Now, you will prove yourself to be better by siding with a Hell god and seeking an opportunity to fight against Viriel? It doesn’t make any sense.”“Nothing made sense, Nethaniel. Fighting Viriel is not in my agenda, Nethaniel. Lord Arkeus is hiding the truth from us. I discovered it through the rumors in the High Academes. I have visited Skullgorn and talked with the professors in prison who speak the tru
The underground Keep tremored with a strength exceeds a normal earthquake. The lights inside the keep blinked, testing the integrity of the underground circuitry. Dreygo glanced at Viriel, his wife and daughter were surprised and worry had plastered on their innocent faces. The dangers lurked outside the outskirts of the Capital and death was nigh had given Dreygo gooseflesh. The most awaited moments for Centuries in hell that only in dreams he could relish, now it’s in the grasp within his hands. For few hours they had been talking but it seemed it was a short while. Lyka shared their momentous days in Heaven and all the good it gave them even with a simple life. Maria prepared food for them, her best soup recipe but with a twist. She had mastered home cooking as she had the best teachers in the realm and of course Centuries of practice. All the Harbinger did was listen, smile, and it was the happiest moments of his life ever since Hell. His lifelong dream came true, a faint gleam of
A high building, almost reaching the ocher skies, collapsed near the location of the Keep. A precipitous maelstrom and explosions were heard from afar. It was Nethaniel. He held no room for mercy in this time of war, or defeat will succumb him. Kill or be killed was the famous mantra during these times. Dreygo understood this, it was always what he held during his years as a Harbinger. Killing was the only way to survive and the only way to acquire power in a dreadful place. Somewhat he was at war every single minute. Even his restful sleep could not be considered as restful. A thirty-minute nap could be dangerous for him, constantly moving. The Nocturnals heaved the caves and mountains, thus hiding amongst them was not also feasible. Nocturnals kill everything to all beings unlike them. He suddenly remembered them in the tunnels, hiding and waiting for the most opportune moment. The Heaven Army bellowed in chaos and fear. He felt worry had blanketed the vast ranks but not obviously f
