It was irritating as their guffaws went through the walls of their small house. Alysa was left alone at home, her mother and brother had to head out for late-night groceries. They have limited food stocks in the fridge, they do not buffer much. It was because of their dire need for money. Dreygo and his comrades felt unease at the thought of the upcoming imminent dangers as the moon rises. Sitting on the couch, Dreygo gawked at Elaine in the kitchen preparing their breakfast. But moments, even only a few seconds, that their faces were romantically near, awkwardness intervened. Dreygo and Elaine mutually pulled themselves far from each other. Her cheeks flushed in the process. Dreygo's heart thumped fast, hammering against his chest. As if he was fighting against a Demon Lord or the mystical beasts in hell. Suddenly, the screeching sound of tires appeared from outside as a car halted abruptly. They were startled by the abruptness. The sound could have carried danger. Peeking between the gaps of the blinds, Dreygo saw a black SUV parked in front of the house. Looking for the nearest weapon was his priority. The only weapon near him were kitchen knives. Tengzu, Cheena, Earth *** ‘I am going to die!’ His thoughts rushed to his death. He saw the assassin take a few more steps back to clear himself from the blast radius. Any second now, the knife will blow and will turn him into bits of pieces, a slab of meat. Dreygo closed his eyes and surrendered. Bang! A gunshot loomed. He opened his eyes but to his surprise, the explosion did not come. To his discovery, the knife was already destroyed. It was not his doing and he found Elaine was down the stairs and shot the knife’s handle with her handgun. Even the Assassin was surprised by the shot. A target that small was nearly impossible for her not to miss. Elaine immediately veered to her side and aimed the gun at the Assassin but her handgun was shoved back by the Assassin’s perfectly executed roundhouse kick. "Elaine!" Dreygo called. Without hesitation and regard for his injuries, Dreygo sprinted across the kitchen towards the living room and lunged his body toward the Assassin.

The reddish scabbard with metallic lining and a skull-designed pommel sword appeared before them from thin air. “How?” Dreygo asked excitedly. “I pulled some strings in the Demon world and the portal keepers. The exchange was…should I say, eventful,” Viriel replied. Dreygo started to walk towards his sword, still limping from the stab wound, but healing. He finally held the sword in his hand and it glowed red and streaks of fire embodied the sword the moment his fingers touched it. Holding it, Dreygo felt a tingling sensation that ran from his palm to his forearm down to his heart and pumped out towards every nerve endings in his body. He felt stronger, he felt a bit of god’s power in him. He unsheathed the sword and a slight shrieking sound of metal friction echoed inside the warehouse. Tengzu, Cheena, Earth *** Blood spilled endlessly, and sprinkled the pavement whenever Dreygo sliced through the heaving undead demons. His weapon now possessed a longer blade and sharper than the purge blade - a dagger design. The demons were sliced like pieces of cloth. Elaine situated on a four-story apartment’s roof deck to gain a better vantage point from below, held her sniper rifle. Her shots gave Dreygo’s significant support in killing the Demons, decapitated some of them, and Dreygo followed by a swing or a stab with his sword to deliver their final deaths.
