102. Dissapointment

One morning, Conrad put his thought on Devon, the possessed teenager who managed to run away from his mansion basement prison. The Duke hadn’t fully let go of his escape that moment and still hoped his right-hand man managed to take Devon back. His mind wandered, thinking of many possibilities that can be done once that particular boy was caught and taken back to the Wenocitch mansion. Conrad began to believe that the inner strength Devon got from seven demons could be useful for his own interest.

His train of thought was interrupted by knocking on the door. “Come in,” responded Conrad after clearing his throat.

The door then swung open, revealing two of his right-hand men who stood just outside the room. Conrad lifted his head and asked his trusty henchmen, “is there any news from Devon? It’s been weeks since his escape.”

“Not yet, Sir.” one of them shook his head. “I was about to ask the team in charge, probably they have some updates about this.”

“Go ahead, then,” ordered Duke Weno
