Determined Episode 3.

In a hall with well-cleaned walls and floor inside a Dojo, students were all gathered.

Students were standing in the middle of the hall, while there were some other students occupying the hall by sitting on mats laid on the floor just close to the walls.

The students standing in the middle of the hall had formed a circle to leave one particular young man right in the middle of it.

All the gazes of the students standing in the hall were set at this young man. It was not just the students standing that were staring at him but also the students sitting had their eyes on him too.

He was wearing his red Gi. His seducing Green eyes was staring back at the students standing. He had mixed hair colors of white and black. The white colors were designated just around the middle of his long black hair like a mow hawk.

He kept a nonchalant facial expression, even with the attention of the whole students currently focused on him. Anyone else might have been self conscious about that, but he wasn’t.

He was standing with a relaxed stance while the other students who all wore blue Gi around him, had already taken different fighting stances.

“FIGHT!”

The students who had surrounded this young,  black and white pudding haired man man all moved in a haste, all with an attempt of attacking him indiscriminately upon hearing the command.

KPA. KPA. KPA!

Before they all got closer to him, the students who were in the front of the charged assault all fell backward with so much force, crashing on the other students just behind them and in that split second after the fight was initiated by a word from their sensei, most of the students were now already lying on the floor, spaced away from the young man.

Some were reacting to the pain of been hit while the others struggled to stand up. Those who were behind the charged assault stood up quickly to attack again as they were the least affected by the young man’s attack. With a scream they went off...CHARGE

“Haaa!!!”

In that split second the young man made a little grin as he threw a fist in the air towards the direction of some of the students who were charging towards him. The students in the direction of his fist all fell to the floor, scrunching themselves as they cried out while making pained screams.

The students falling to the floor were still far away from him but it looked like the young man’s attack had reached them.

However, Four students just behind him were already close to landing an attack on him but the young man immediately maneuvered around in that split second. He quickly jumped up with both his arms and legs extending in their direction while in the air. All four previously attacking students flew away in the air and slammed the ground with their backs. They had been hit with his distanced attacks.

The young man with the mixed-colored hair also experienced a force that propelled his whole body backwards but he landed back on his feet with ease. As the fight went on, the screams and falls of the other students created an atmosphere that further accentuated his strength.

“...Amazing! His attacks are still reaching all of them even when he’s at such a far away distance. Bro who’s he?”

One of the students who was sitting and watching asked his fellow training-mate.

“Huh? Oh i forgot that this is your first day of training. You see that’s Daniel Ross. The most talented student in Stratton Dojo.” His friend answered.

“Oh wow...I can see that, he sure is strong.” The first guy said with admiration while still watching the fight in front of him.

“Honestly speaking bro. I won’t be surprised if this guy gets to represent Stratton Dojo in Demons Battle next year because there are very few people in this Dojo willing to challenge him for that role.”

“I get what you’re saying. I wouldn’t want him for an opponent either” The first guy replied to his friend’s statement as his attention drifted back to the fighting scene.

“Don’t tell me this is all you guys got?! Come on i haven’t even broken a sweat yet!” Daniel shouted with a grin.

More than 20 powered humans students were now lying and sitting on the floor with a pained and tired grimace on their faces and this was all caused by him.

‘Just one more year remaining huh’

A thought occupied Daniel’s mind as he looked at the chaos he caused in the training dojo, and with a smile pasted on his face he prepared for the next attack.

Friday Morning.

Back in the house of John.

Gabriel was staring at the computer screen in John’s room. The screen of the computer had his entire attention due to the fact he was now scrolling through a webpage.

‘Which Dojo should I choose now?’

Gabriel decided to enroll in a Dojo in order to raise his Agility Grade Point and to also develop his skills before his Gene Enhancement.  To him, developing his fighting skill was a very important goal he needed to achieve because his Gene Enhancement was just his ticket to the Demons Battle arena. He knew he won’t survive long in Demons Battle if he doesn’t develop a good fighting skill but there was a problem.

He was a regular human and that limitation already made him a very weak opponent so he knew he needed something more than just fighting skills. He needed a way he could fight a powered human with his regular human body in other words he needed a specialized training that actually doesn’t exist.

No Dojo actually teaches a regular human anything on how to fight against powered humans when it comes to training fighters. He needed a Dojo that provided a fighting attribute he could use to fight a powered human.

Now the real question was which Dojo should he choose?

Although he was going for a regular human martial arts program, he felt he needed a Dojo that would be suitable with his own specialized training.

He was very cautious in trying to choose a Dojo to attend. The main reason for his cautiousness was because each Dojo provided different attributes.

In Demons Battle, fighters were actually skilled with different features. Some fighters had raw physical strength as a specialized feature while others were skilled when it came to speed and so on.

A Dojo was actually a big contributing factor when it came to the specialized skill of a fighter. Some Dojo focused on enhancing the raw power and strength of a fighter more than any other features. There were also other Dojo’s who focused on their fighter’s speed while some focused on their fighters accurate controlled attacks.

One mistake most Demons Battle fighters make was choosing a Dojo which wasn’t suitable to their specific area of strengths. Depending on the kind of abilities a fighter has, the kind of Dojo he enrolled in was very vital to his growth.

Most individuals ends up choosing a Dojo that focused on increasing their fighters strength when their abilities never had anything to do with strength. For example, this is when a speed-type ability powered human chooses a Dojo that focused more on raw physical power instead of choosing a Dojo that would focus on enhancing that his speed-type ability.

Gabriel knew this because he used to be a hardcore fan of Killer Joe. He recalled killer Joe giving a statement on this subject in one of his interviews. He knew he had to get into a Dojo that will offer him a specific feature that will benefit him in the long run because when compared to the others, as a regular human he didn't really possess any outshining battle attribute in any of the fields of Dojo’s features specialization.

Right now his main goal was to Increase his Agility Grade Point and a Dojo that focused on the strength based features of a fighter was the type of Dojo he needed now. A strength based Dojo actually had fighters with the high Agility Grade Points because powerful physical attacks took more out of the body than skills of any kind.

It turns out that an increase in strength came with a dramatic increase in Agility Grade Point and since the strength based Dojo focused only on increasing their fighter’s strength it was a good choice but he was still in a dilemma. The thing is the strength based Dojo came with a downside because he was a regular human and as a Regular human, there’s a finite amount of agility grade Point he could attain especially for his age. Since he was a regular human no matter the strength he achieved, it would still be incomparable to the strength of a powered human.

The thing he needed now was a Dojo that would be suitable for the fighting style he was trying to develop.

A fighting style which he will be able to use to go against a powered human.

He was totally lost in his worries to make a better choice.  The more he thought about it, the more his thoughts became vague.

Gabriel kept looking through the bio of every Dojo he could find online.

'Well. This Dojo doesn't look bad at all'

Gabriel instantly leaned forward towards the computer screen. His eyes were still narrowed at the computer screen until John immediately walked into the room.

“Hey what’re you doing?” John asked while getting on the bed close to were Gabriel was sitting with the computer.

“I’m just trying to pick a good Dojo” Gabriel answered him with his attention still on the computer screen.

“So have you seen any Dojo you like yet?”

“Yeah. I think I like this Stratton Dojo. It turns out their representatives fighters are well known for using cunning tricks in Demons Battle."

“Well that’s not actually a bad choice.”

“Yeah” Gabriel replied John with a slight grin.

In that moment his memories of yesterday flashed right through his mind. He recalled arguing with John about the idea of getting Gene Enhancement.

John initially disagreed on the idea when the  Doctor left yesterday. He tried convincing Gabriel to rethink his decision but Gabriel’s mind was already made up. Since he couldn't change Gabriel's mind about going into the Demons Battle he decided to support him hoping that he might later rethink his decision. He knew Gabriel was ready to go on with his plans with or without him.

‘But I’m still unsure if I will be able to raise my Agility Grade Points in this Dojo but I’ll just have to try’  Gabriel thought feeling worried because for him to be able to raise his Agility Grade Point in that short time he had to outwork others. He had to be something else, he had to be someone else. He had to be a high performance person.

"John I'm going to need your help with something?"

"Okay Bro. what kind help are we talking about?"

"I need you to help me convince your Mom and Dad to let me attend a Dojo. So I won't be going to school anymore"

"Man! That's gonna be a lot of work. Don't worry I got your back but are you really sure you want to do this?” John asked with the intention of making Gabriel rethink his Decision about taking the Gene Enhancements.

"Of course Bro. I just have one more person to convince to make my plan fall into place"

"And who's that? Leah?"

"No"

"Who then?" John asked with a Dumbfounded look on his face.

"Machia Ontario."

In that instant John’s eyes became round with surprise.

“Wow so you’re finally going to give him a call?”

“Yes Bro. I don’t want to call him but I have to. I actually don’t see myself succeeding with just a regular human martial arts program in a Dojo that’s why I’m going to try convincing him to train me”

Machia Ontario had given Gabriel his Personal line to call him anytime. He felt guilty for hitting Gabriel so he thought giving Gabriel his personal line was a good apology.

Gabriel never planned on calling him but he thought if he was ever going to increase his Agility Grade Point, he needed Machia Ontario expertise.

"Wait what makes you think that Machia Ontario is even going to help you with that?"

"Nothing. Honestly speaking I have a 70% doubts he won’t agree but I have to still try. Besides what better use for his personal phone number other than this."

The weekend passed by with a flash.

It was already Monday and 9am in the morning.

Gabriel was standing in a compound filled with beautiful fields and a big two story building in front of him. The compound field was elaborately decorated with trees and shrubberies. As Gabriel looked at the building he noticed the structure and designs of the building were outdated. The building was looking rather historic. Although the building was old it still looked expensive. He was currently standing under a roofed structure with pillars which was actually a walkway to other destinations in the big compound.

He was standing with a young man who had short black hair and was wearing a well fitted gym outfit. The young man was not having a large towering body build but his body was perfectly well-proportioned. He looked nonchalant despite the fact he was waiting with Gabriel.

"Hey Boy! How have you been?"

Gabriel heard a familiar voice as he turned around and noticed it was Machia Ontario. He was a wearing suit. He was actually wearing the same style of his all-black colored suit he had worn the day he met Gabriel but it was a all-green color this time.

Gabriel actually spoke with Machia Ontario that weekend. He told him about everything, regarding his intentions of raising his Agility Grade Point and his plans for Gene Enhancement so Machia Ontario actually invited him over to talk.

"Hey Boy! Are you sure you wanna get into this Demons Battle business?" Machia asked Gabriel with a smile. He was looking awfully happy in front of Gabriel.

Gabriel could not tell why this guy was actually making a smiling face in front of him today but either way Machia’s smile might be a good sign for him to be able to convince Machia to help him.

"Yes I am. I’m totally a 100% sure."

"Oh I see. Well you're going to regret that

answer but only for a few minutes.”

“Huh?”

At that very Second Gabriel felt a strong punch hitting his abdomen that made him gushed out saliva.

“UHH”

The guy in the gym outfit punched Gabriel immediately after Machia’s last statement.

"Hey Boy. I'll only l train you under one condition...Defeat the Powered human in front of you.”
