Distortion.

Sparks could seen in the air. With every sound heard there were a series of sparks seen. Daniel and Yua were instantly seen at the different places in the tunnels. They were both currently appearing at different places in a second interval. One second they were here and the next they were there. And anytime both of them appeared, there was a clash. Agatha stood still and watched both Yua and Daniel fought with Awe in her eyes.

They were both moving at a very fast pace for her eyes to even follow. She could only see a glimpse of their movements. Their speed was definitely faster than even Sora teleportation itself. At this rate they could even rival Sora’s trump card fast movements.

Agatha raised her hand to cover her face as polluted wind with dust blew towards her. She could even feel the impacts of their attacks from here. They were not just merely attacking each other. They both conveying their intention to land a severe attack with every single strike.

There was an astonished look on Agatha’s face. Magnificent. There movements were amazing.

“Who the hell is that?”

“Wait she’s the king of Group C!”

“She’s the shy girl!”

“I still don’t know her. That’s not the king of Group C!”

“What the hell are you talking about? That’s the king of group C!”

“She’s a new person we don’t know!”

There was already an argument causing a steer in the midst of the audience. It was quite noticeable.

“Hey will you all quite down let’s all enjoy the fight!”

Machia took his attention from the area of the argument and looked back at the screen.

“What are they all arguing about? That’s clearly Gabriel’s king.”

“Are you sure? I don’t think so.” Tom’s voice was heard from his side.

“What are you even talking about that’s clearly Gabriel’s king.”

Tom narrowed his eyes at the big screen. It was as if he was trying to get a better look at the screen. Then he opened his mouth “No it’s not.”

John who’s attention was being disturbed quickly interrupted “ What are you guy’s even arguing about that? Tom senpai that’s clearly Gabriel’s king”

“Yeah Tom he’s right. Even John gets it.

“No. I’m the one telling you it’s not!”

“..sshh..can we save this argument for later. You guys are disturbing.” John unexpected butt-in clearly stopped theirs arguments.

Machia stared back at the screen towards Yua. His expression suddenly became hardened. Something was wrong. The more he thought about what just happened. The more confusing the situation became to him.

That was clearly Gabriel’s king. The people from the over there was just recently having this same argument as him and Tom. Normally he wouldn’t worry like this since those guys were major douchebags. From the very  start of the round two  those guys hardly kept their opinions to themselves but something was off.

Tom of all people had a silly argument with him. Tom could not identify the girl as Gabriel’s king. Even this dumb John knew that was Gabriel’s king. Machia honestly did not expect to get such a reaction from Tom. There was this sudden mystery to it.

‘Something doesn’t feel right here’

A loud sound was heard. Every clash of their attacks came with sparks. Daniel had an amused expression every time he counteracted Yua’s attack. He swiftly backed away from Yua. From the slight distance between them Daniel punched the air.  Yua noticed and crossed her arms to cover her face as she moved back. It was like she moved against her will due to the impact of an invisible attack.

Daniel smiled. The attacks he landed in the air still reached her but Yua took a guarding stance before his attack even got to her. She definitely knew more about his abilities than anyone else.

Anybody looking at his abilities alright now would thinking he was shooting an attack through the air. Well that’s true but it doesn’t just end there.

Daniel’s ability is called ‘strained mist’. He could instantly turn his body and extend his mist form but that was not just it. His whole life Daniel had trained to the extent he started trying knew stuff with his ability. He can turn his body into mist and in that form of mist he could increase his body mass. He found out when he solidifies back his body from his increased mist form, it resulted to an increase in his actual body size. It didn’t take long for him to start thinking cunning.

Daniel could turn any part of his body to mist and increase his mass before solidifying his body. He could perform this action so quickly in the blink of an eye to the extent people thought his ability was to stretch any part of his body.

Daniel didn’t stop there. He trained to the extent that even the mocked stretching of his body parts became too fast for the eyes to see.

His distanced air attacks were actually him stretching his arm to land a hit on his opponent. To anyone with a regular watching eyes, it felt more like he was giving out an air attack from a distance. Only the Members of The Strongest Five were fast enough to notice that he was just stretching his body in the blink of an eye. The members of The Strongest Five could all tell that his distance attacks were just a mock ability of his body stretching fast.

But...none of the members of The Strongest Five knows about his original ability. Strained Mist. No there was only one person who knew about this his original ability. It was Yua. Yua was the only member of The Strongest Five who could go well with him on a one-on-one battle.

Daniel still can’t understand why she kept herself stuck as a ghost  in the position of number four. Yua was powerful enough to claim the number two position among the Strongest Five or rather there was even a possibility of she claiming his position as number one among The Strongest Five.

Daniel looked directly into Yua’s emotionless eyes as they both clashed. She has never once challenge him up until now. So why was she challenging him now?

They both shot back after their clash. Daniel looked and saw Yua’s green aura covering her whole body. Nobody needs to tell him what was coming next. In that moment he heard Yua’s Emotionless voice.

“..Brace yourself”

Yua dashed towards him and swung her hand. Daniel swiftly dodged and moved away from her.

“Kwac?”

This is why he hates fighting with Yua. Among all his opponents her abilities was the most annoying for him. He had dodged Yua’s attack but he still felt the impact.

Distortion. It really is a terrifying ability. An abilities that makes two realities co-exist at the same time. Yes he had dodged her attack but there was also a possibility of a reality where he didn’t dodge her attack. Her ability makes that reality possible if she chose it to be.

Gabriel expression suddenly became hardened. He really needed to act quick.

His gaze met with Yua’s eyes. He knew this kind of eyes very well. This was her eyes where nothing could be seen. When two skilled people fight, they could actually predict each other’s next movement just by looking into the other person’s eyes.

...But such that was not the case for Yua. Looking into Yua’s eyes right now was like staring into the abyss. There’s no doubt it. At this moment, every single attack of Yua would reach him now. Even if he dodged her attack would still reach him.

The ability to make two possibilities co-exist at the same time. The ability to chose which possibility she wanted to surface among the two. This is the true power of the mystery man of The Strongest Five.

Still Daniel was not willing to let go of his title as number one in anyway. No matter what he knew he was still going to win.

Before he could even move again Yua was already in front of him. The fact she was in front of him did not mean he was unable to keep up with her movement.

Another clashing sound was heard as he counteracted her. Yua appeared behind him and swung her arm. Shit.

“Kwac..”

Daniel had dodged her but he still felt the impact of her attack but wait her attack didn’t touch him. He looked at his chest and saw a cut. What’s this? Is she holding a weapon. He looked at Yua but he couldn’t find any weapon on her hands. Now that he’s thinking about it. She has been swinging her hand in a weird manner.

It’s almost as if she’s swinging a sword.

Daniel muttered as he looked at Yua “I see. She’s making another reality possible. Another reality where she’s holding a sword”

Daniel quickly charged towards Yua. They both passed each other. Blood splashed right out of Daniel’s shoulder the moment he turned stopped and turned around. She was still able to land her hit even when he avoided her hands but it was also the same for her.

Daniel stared at Yua as she saw her arm bleeding. He was also her brother so he knew how to land and attack in her too.

Daniel smiled “Yes your power is terrifying but so is mine.”

“What the hell? She’s really keeping up with him”

There was astonishment written all over the commentator’s face as he immense his attention on scenes of the screen. Anybody looking at him right now would notice that he was finding  the fight playing in the screen quite amusing. Nakamura sensei just maintained his calm expression as usual while staring at screen.

“..By the way that guy is dodging his attack but he’s still getting hit.”

“That’s her ability. Distortion.”

“Distortion?”

“Yes the ability to make another reality possible. She could even make two opposing realities exists at the same time.”

“How? What do you mean?”

Nakamura sensei sighed. “Look let me explain. You remember the time you felt there were four members of The Strongest Five available while at that same time you also felt there where five members available?”

“Yes..?”

“Yua Ross. Was actually the last mystery member. There was a reality where she’s didn’t exist as a member of The Strongest Five. And there was also a reality where she exists as a member of The Strongest Five”

“...”

“She was simply making both realities co-exist at the same time.”

There was now a shocked expression on the face of the commentator as looked at Nakamura sensei. “...But How’s that even possible?”

“It’s a terrifying ability I know.”

At this moment, a sudden loud sound was heard from the screen that caused the commentator attention to drift back to the screen.

...The moment the commentator’s eyes met the screen, His expression became even more perplexed as he belatedly muttered “..What the hell?”

Cough! Cough!

Nakamura sensei immediately gave out a cough but Nakamura Sensei cough sounded more like a signal.

“Oh sorry my bad!” The commentator belatedly replied as he lean forward towards the mic and let out a scream.
