Chapter 7

*Rumble!

The ship started shaking as Machina put Link to the Main core, he could see the whole ship wires started lighting up as if it was becoming alive.

[Progress 1%....2%....3%....]

Machina heard the voice of Link inside his head, the progress was very slow, and it gets slower and slower as time goes on, he decided not to disturb Link for now, as much as he was excited about what is going to happen.

He can't really rush it in fear of something wrong was going to happen.

With that in mind, Machina decided to continue his project of building his own Mech, due to some events and being busy, he hasn't started anything yet other than preparing the materials he would need.

Though there are still many materials missing, he didn't need it for now though, so with that Machina started building his mech, he had a blueprint ready for this project long ago.

He wanted a flexible, versatile, and fast also have good stability, Machina is not a melee type but preferred to be the burst type, someone who defeats an opponent in a short time as possible.

There is this thing called Mech Tournament that has been a national sport for the whole world, it was a 5 vs 5 Battle Arena that was referenced after MOBA games in Machina's past life.

Though there is no need to farm or anything, they only have to either eliminate/knock out their opponents or capture their crystal base, it was very simple but it was very complex because of the roles added into the game.

There are Tanks, Marksman, Roamer, Burst, Fighter, Assassin, and more, Machina is part of the Team that will participate in the Inter-High Mech next year that is why he also wanted to build a unique Mech for himself.

He was really not interested in those things but as a man with a great passion for Mechs, not joining such a fun thing is sinful! very sinful.

With that Machina looked at his blueprint, it was 8 meters tall which is the average height for a normal mech, it has 6 thrusters behind it.

For its body, Machina wanted a light but strong material and was also a good magic conductor, and will be able to take in at least 3 enchantments, as for the other parts, he wanted very light materials but also not giving up the flexibility of the material.

With the blueprint in his hand, Machina pasted it on a nearby wooden board and started making the first materials, making a Mecha was very difficult, one mistake means you have to redo it once again.

Thankfully Machina had a lot of experience building one with the mothership which was a few times bigger than the Mech he was going to make, with him putting all of his attention into his work.

Machina didn't notice the time pass by, and soon it was nighttime, tons of items were stacked beside him, Machina was a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to his personal belongings, especially his Mech, just a simple mistake will be thrown away.

Yes, this will cause a lack of materials for him but Machina wanted his Mech to be perfect, a best of the best, this is also what he did with his mothership and the Mech Suit, thankfully, he only made a few mistakes before he got the hang of it.

"Hey! Machina it's already night, come and eat, Grandpa Jack cooked us some delicious food" Granny May came with the cat on her shoulders and looked at Machina kindly.

It was only that time that Machina reacted and looked up into the skies, it was really already nighttime, he was so absorbed that he forgot about it once again, "I'm coming Granny!" Machina replied before patting the accumulated dust on his body.

He first made his way towards the Mothership to see how Link was doing and the progress was at 43% and it seemed to be stuck, well, Machina had plenty of time so he left it for now and went back home to eat dinner.

In a blink of an eye a week has passed, nothing much happened in the few days of Machina going to school except for him being known as the new lord of the Junk City, rumors do travel fast though, some noble kids who hated him mocked him to be king of Junks Machina didn't really care.

Junk City was now land with no connection, if Machina developed it properly, it may become a kingdom, well, that was Machina's plan in the first place, one thing he also wanted to add was coexistence with different races.

Discrimination and racism have been a thing in this world, it was very severe when it comes to demi-humans or demons, each race despised the other to the core so this may prove difficult for Machina but a challenge it is.

Today, Machina was still working on his Mech but a loud sound disrupted his focus and it came from his mothership, its appearance started to change, its size becoming bigger, he doesn't know what is happening since the whole ship was being enveloped by a white light.

"Mahina what is happening?" Grandpa Jack came looking at what is happening in front.

"I don't know" Machina shook his head, he doesn't really know what is happening, he also could not reach Link as it did not reply to him.

"My... just what is this, magicules are gathering at a very fast speed, we need to contain it or it will cause a phenomenon," Grandpa Jack said then waved his hand, a wand appeared in his hand and his wrinkled face started disappearing started to turn young.

His white long hair started turning black and in just a moment, Grandpa Jack turned into a handsome young man who was in his twenties, he is now a Chad Jack, just kidding.

Chad Jack waved his hand and a dome emerged around them and the spaceship, Machina was enveloped by a bubble-like barrier, and as if the spaceship had reached its peak.

Light pillar emerged from it extending towards the skies but due to the dome isolating them, it was not able to pierce it, but Grandpa Jack's expression change a little to surprise, "This thing is actually powerful, well its done so we don't have to worry anymore"

The light enveloping the spaceship started to crack and fall into little pieces, finally, after everything cracked, the light burst into little lights revealing a bigger and good-looking ship than what Machina had made.

But Machina ignored it and turned his head to Grandpa Jack who had already turned back to his old appearance, "Grandpa, I think you should stay in your young form, you will become more popular with that"

"Hah, I can't your Grandma is going to kill me if I get more attention from the girls, well, then this amazing ship, *sigh, it's really amazing, well, then I'm going back, for now, let's talk about it later"

After Grandpa Jack had left, Machina decided to look at the new appearance of the mothership, he knows that he doesn't really put that much attention to the appearance of his creations and only focus on their functions but seeing how beautifully his ship looked like he could not help but also wanted to make the appearance of his ships somewhat look cool or something.

After Machina finished praising the appearance of the ship, he proceeded inside, the ship had truly become big from inside to outside, the hall that he created became much bigger that it was possible to fit multiple Mech's inside.

The lighting and the new items inside made it look much vibrant and satisfying, He also noticed that the defenses he had installed had upgraded, the turrets turned to be more flexible and it also now has about 4 huge cannons on its sides, he doesn't know how powerful it was but looking at its systems and output, it was probably enough to decimate a kingdom with one attack.

Machina entered a new room called Armor suit room and found that inside were numerous numbers of Mech suit, though its appearance was different from Machina's suit, it was more refined and good looking but its functions were the same as his.

Mark nodded but was also confused what is with the number of mech suits, it was just too many, well, he decided to ask it later and proceeded to another room, it was easy to enter any room since there were automatic facial recognitions.

In the other room that was larger than the first one, Mark found out the ship docks, there were about 20 to 30 spaceships that Machina had never seen before but just as he was thinking of what these spaceships are, information suddenly appeared inside his head, they were called work type spaceships or also known as workers.

And just like how their name says, they are in charge of building, gathering resources, and more, Machina doesn't know where Link gets these things since its function resembled the ones from games.

There are more things inside the ship that Machina had seen and it didn't take long for him to reach the deck of the spaceship, inside, he saw the glowing systems, all of the computers, they were just too beautiful in Machina's eyes.

From what he remembered, he made the deck very simple, and with few important things only but seeing this, it was really...

Link's voice resounded inside the ship, and a virtual screen suddenly appeared in front of him, the image of a man wearing a smiley mask appeared on the screen but his voice was a female.

"What's with the appearance?" Machina asked as he looked at the new appearance of Link.

{I found it as the most appropriate appearance for me, I like its style also}

Link proudly said, well, Machina didn't really care about his appearance, he was more interested in the new mothership, and so he started taking many questions.

"What happened here?"

{After I assimilated with the Spaceship, my power has influenced it causing it to change and have an upgrade}

"Then we could finally start that right? are you sure it's safe?"

{Of course, it's not my first time doing it, there was also one in the past that used me to create their own army}

"No, that's not what I want, you remembered what I said right?"

{Yes}

Link nodded seriously, Machina's requirements were very challenging even for Link who had lived for thousands of years, but he was very excited because what Machina wanted to create was not any normal army, but a very powerful one, something that will surely shake this dimension.

A global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized communication protocols. Of course, this also exists in Machina's world.

In a popular website called Bluedit, a certain promotion caught the attention of people who loved to play games which call themselves gamers, and it was a new game but it was not just any new game, it was a Virtual Reality game that was different from the Oculus rift they had.

A virtual reality using your brain as its control, 100% realism, and the first-ever real virtual reality game, it was in its open beta only accepting 100 lucky players.

It was very enticing for the people of this world, but not everyone believed it, there is no news about virtual reality having a breakthrough and it also did not come from a popular company so not many really had high hopes for it.

But people are still bound to be curious, humans are curious creatures, even if they know it's something that does not exist, they will still try to see if it was really real, now they only have to wait for 2 weeks before they could see this new real VR Game.
