"One moment."
The voice came again from inside the house. That was the third time the aged but feminine voice would say the same thing. Dia stood there wondering how many minutes were there in a moment that made the woman keep her waiting outside. Such compound exposed to every passer by. She wasn't even sure whether or not she had been spotted by someone who knew her.
She knocked again and echoed what she knew the woman would say,
"One moment."
Then the knob of the door was bothered, turned in. The door opened to a thick and plumpy woman with meaty cheeks which had several spots glazing them. The woman's face broadened into a wild smile which revealed her yellow set of teeth. Of course yellow from inadequate care.
