Grand Canyon. Las Vegas.
~Dia Wealene~
"Woah. At last, this is Grand Canyon."
I screamed excitedly. For once, I forgot that I was a matured ass and was with Dray. Climbing up the steeps, I ran towards the railings set as borders across the edge of that hill. I put my hands on the iron bars and howled in gay. I could hear Dray chuckling behind me.
We are at the Grand Canyon. A two-dimensional landscape whose 94 percent is a proposed Wilderness, preserved to serve such function.
While we were marching towards the South Rim, according to the tour-guide, we'd seen cool fir forest, and gleamed the sight of other natural attributes: hot, dry forest, Riparian zones, and a million acres of wild landscape.
We'd been also told that the landscape to the North rim is glazed with Black Brush and Cacti. And a roadless area, whose border was the Colorado waters which complimented the warm air and var
Colorado."Turn the music down, Albert."I ordered as I dragged my bums closer to the edge of the limo couch which was quite close to the driver's seat. We've been driving now for few hours and in few more minutes we should get to my house.Albert didn't bother to look at me. He turned down the music as said, keeping his stern face at the front. We've lost Dray since we left the airport. Of course we'd booked different planes. The air-conditioner did it best, spraying its cold fangs all over the inn of the long car. I was used to the cold but it seemed as though something wasn't right. I have no idea yet. But for sure, I wasn't sick."Are we going to talk about what happened at Grand Canyon?"I shot finally, ignoring all the odds that had wounded up the moment. He neither made a sound nor looked through the rearview mirror like he used to."I'm sure you're everything but deaf Albert. You wil
Few minutes later. ~Caidine Purplepie~"What if she comes down anytime from now?"I stared blankly at the tough and big guy that has been giving me the creeps ever since I started working here. I don't know why he had pulled me with himself to this dark corner of the house.Yes! It's fact that, it's an aisle which was at the end of the passage to which both of our rooms were locked. Our rooms almost opposite. But then, Dia has every reason to come down there anytime. After all, twas her house."I'll be responsible for anything that happens."He said firmly. A lot of thoughts were pacing my mind but I couldn't place any for sure. But what could he want from me?"But still --"He placed one of his firm arms on one of my shoulders and I almost collapsed. There was this wierd stuff about it. That wierd stuff which had always spared my instinct to steer clear of him. To steer
The Great Hall. ~Dia Wealene~"Welcome back. But before you give a report, we would love to fill you in on the new developments we'd just come up with during your time away."The founder of the COLORFUL ENTREPRENEURS started. I had a lot of exceptions to what he had said, but then I wouldn't let that get to me. I was going to argue that, DURING I'M AWAY, like I chose to go of my own will or was FORCEFULLY sent, cajoled."Greg would give a detailed report on that."The founder tossed his head at Greg and he stood up,"At first, I'd love to welcome you back, Dia Wealene, president of our great group."He kept it short and crisp. That was very unlike him. I didn't let that get to me, after all, people are bound to change. Change is the constant force in live."Speaking of the latest development, we now have a new member, a CEO of a Social medium platform, Iris Alfred. He would introduce
AVALENE. ~Dia Wealene~"Thanks for coming. I know the days haven't really being easy for you."I took a gulp from the glass of whiskey. The bar was a little bit scanty, There were just few men scattered about the less noisy place. There was a clubby background song. Quite sensational, such which fosters the growth of a smooth conversation. But then, I had just few minutes there. I don't just want to be harsh on him again."I'm sure you wouldn't want to hold me up for long?"I replied, staring at him. He scoffed and slurped from the glass. He cleaned the side of his lips with the back of his hand. EW!"Maybe we should fix another time then. A day you would be free for discourse."That wasn't a good idea. Not for me."Let's just have it sorted out now. I don't think there will actually be another day."A still smile tugged at a side of his lips. I don't know why he's really being like
Home. Sweet Home. ~Dia Wealene~ "Ooohh!!" I turned in bed then buried my face in the duvet, which I had, with sleep-fighting rumpled and made a mess of. I only do that whenever I had a nice and sound sleep, and am very comfortable. I rolled over again, my face to the ceiling. Then turned towards the homitem lcd triple display alarm clock which had woken me up. Twas 9:00am. How could I had sleep for that long? Probably a deep sensation in me already knew that I wouldn't be going to work today. Not after what happened yesterday. News like that would had spread all over Colorado. I wouldn't even be surprised if I see Paparazzi running into my compound at that moment. I sighed and sat up, leaning into the bed rest which was stuffed with enough comfy foams, which were wounded in by fluffy ash-color leathers. "Albert." I muttered. He was always the first name which cros
The following Monday. ~Dia Wealene~"10:05"I muttered, looking at the gold wristwatch wounded around my left wrist. I'm not really feeling like I'm up for the task. I feel down. And if I wouldn't tell a lie to myself, I knew what the problem really is."Why would you, Albert?"I mumbled, burying my face in the ocean of files on the table. I raised my head again and picked up my phone,"Should I call him back?"I wasn't sure. I looked to the left and caught the sight of one of my framed pictures. I remembered the humor of a guy who told his girlfriend on her birthday that he framed her and presented to her a framed picture of her. Then suddenly, some group of officers walked in and she was told that she was under arrest. And then she turned to her boyfriend and asked what the problem was. But she saw a cunny smile tucked in the side of his lips as he said, 'Why surprised babe, I said I framed you
Later that day. ~Dia Wealene~"I'm glad you decided to meet me today."Alfred started, one of his arms, halfway on the table. He had the other down and was staring at me. Of course he should."Needed to let out some steam too. It's nothing too important."I admitted. He smiled and got distracted by the waitress who had just walked by and was standing by the table, where we could both hold her in our gazes."Have you chosen what to have, miss and sir?"The blond asked, looking from Alfred to me. I made a choice,"I'll go for hot latte.""How about you, sir?"She turned to Alfred who tapped two of his fingers on his forehead as though he was trying to place his thoughts. He said finally,"Cold latte with ice."The blond tilted a bit and walked off. My eyes widened as I looked back at him; we were seated opposite each other; just two chairs locked to
Two days later. Driving home.~Dia Wealene~"Turn the music, Rowe."As soon as I called at him, he turned to me and nodded his head. He fiddled with the volume roll of the white and red Maserati 2022 MC20.I watched him nod his head to the slow but perky music filling the background. I didn't know if I had made the right choice by employing him. Everytime I leave work, I'm always too exhausted to drive. I could had called Alfred to do that but he ain't my driver nor puppet. I sighed trying to keep apace with the rhythm of Christina Perri's A thousand Years. One of the reasons of having the music turned on was preventing him from hearing whatever I have to say if by chance I thought out loud.Trying to remember what made me employ him... Twas all yesterday, I decided to call him around and he did an unexpected. Something quite sweet that I'd never seen Albert do. He got me the costliest Flower bo
