"How much is the bail?"

Lancy asked, staring at the officer who obviously was calculating. He had looked her from the head to the toe to figure out what she was worth. She was also ready for him. Some corrupt officers. 

"Based on the situation of the case, we should let her go freely. Since the Plaintiff and the Prosecuting attorney couldn't defend their stances. Therefore, since nothing was held against her, it turned out an in-house unanimous judgement. So we would --"

"Are you saying the bail is free? She must be weary by now. I don't have a time for the stories please."

Lancy's impatient voice fueled the rage on her face. She tried to tame it as the officer smiled at her,

"You can go. The bail is free. Take her only, the other man is to serve terms and could be bailed several days after."

Lancy sighed and brought out her purse. She counted five $1000 bills and handed it to the officer.
