Dia said over the phone, then came Max's anxious voice,

"Hey, Dia. You scared the hell out of me. What is wrong? Why have you been avoiding my calls? Was it because of what happened the previous day. I didn't--"

She interrupted and he quit talking. She was trying to imagine the kinda expression he was wearing. His cute and innocent face would very much be smothered at that moment, she guessed. 

"I'm here, Dia. Couldn't just keep mute since --"

She interrupted again. Then there came the stutter of Max,

"Beach? What beach? You're in --"

She seemed to take delight in interrupting him. But he didn't mind. He kept coming on and on again. 

"But it's fine if you are busy."

She said but Max shot,

"Of course not. I'll be there in twenty minutes."
