To A Certain Uncertain

She heard someone strick a match behind her. Diamant made a round about turn quickly. Her mouth parted in a low gasp and she creased her forehead in confusion.

There stood Sunain with a cloth wrapped around her, her grip tight on her chest. Water dripping off her hair while it stuck to her face, a flickering candle in her other hand. Her eyes held fear and her shoulders stiffened.

"D-diamant?" She whispered.

Diamant blinked, she took a step closer to her and Sunain quickly took a step back making Diamant stop in her tracks.

"This doesn't make sense," Diamant whispered to herself, her gaze on the floor stained with scanty drops of liquid.

"I saw you!"

Sunain looked at her, her eyes filled with questions. When she stepped closer again, Sunain stepped back like she did before.

"How did you come in? You were not in here before," Diamant said, flickering her eyes to the door quickly. It was still shut. She looked up at her again.

"I. Saw. You." The words pushed forcefully through her teet
