Ch 9: The Pendant

Spells were not allowed to be taken out. Only copies of a spell can be brought outside. Even though there was no one inside the Spell Pavilion, Thomas knew a powerful elder is guarding the Spell Pavilion while hiding in the dark. Whoever dared to violate the rules of this place, if they were caught, the consequences would be dire.

Thomas started choosing the spells. It took him about two hours to select the spell he wanted to practice and left the Spell Pavilion after registering at the counter.

He wanted to practice these spells and then go out to experience the world. He had yet to leave the magic academy because he was waiting for someone.

Well, even he doesn't know the person he is waiting for. It is just that about a week ago, a letter was sent to him by someone. In that letter, it is explained about some sort of magic stone that can enhance one's talent. Someone wanted to exchange the magic stone for the pendant hanging down his neck.

When he was a child, he saw this pendant in a stall and asked his father to buy it. His father bought the pendant for him.

Until a week ago, he used to think that the pendant is just an ordinary item, however, after he received the letter, he knew the pendant was not ordinary. There must be something special about this pendant, for someone was actually ready to exchange the pendant for a magic stone.

When he went back to the courtyard where he was living, he suddenly became alert. It is because the door to his courtyard was open. He cautiously entered the courtyard but was stunned to see a very beautiful lady sitting at the table, eating a strawberry.

When she saw Thomas arriving, she calmly swallowed the strawberry in her mouth, placed the rest of the strawberry on the table, and then took out a yellow stone. This yellow stone was about a child's fist size and was in the shape of a pyramid. This was the magic stone that can enhance a person's talent.

Taking out the magic stone, she calmly said: "Here is the magic stone, give me that pendant!"

Thomas stared at the beautiful lady for a few seconds before replying: "I've never agreed to exchange!"

A fearful expression finally appeared on his face. He looked at the beautiful young lady and knew she is right. He is not her match. In fact, even his form magic teacher is not her match.

He had only felt this kind of strong aura from the dean of the Mystical Magic Academy.

"Just who are you? Why do you want my pendant so much?" After a while, when the pressure descending on him was withdrawn by the beautiful young lady, Thomas suppressed the overwhelming fear in his heart and asked.

However, Thomas presented a condition. The condition for the mysterious lady to accept Thomas as her disciple and teach him magic.

That woman was not ready at first, however, when she thought about the map to Magic Saint's ruin, she accepted his condition.

Then without saying anything, she brought him out of the academy and flew in a certain direction.

When Thomas asked where she was bringing him, she told him that if Thomas wants to become her disciple, just slightly increasing his talent in magic with the help of Yellow Stone will not do.

She was bringing him to a secret place that she accidentally discovered when she was looking for a rare treasure in a forest.

And currently, she was bringing him there.

Lucas was forced to go and attract the attention of the Level 3 Magical Beast. Taking a deep breath, Lucas charged straight at a Level 1 Iron Thorn Wolves.

When Lucas was still three steps away from it, an Iron Thorn Wolf bit his thigh. Lucas did not stop and continued onwards.
