Knock… knock… knock…
The sound of Tiberius Julius’s bedroom door being knocked from outside echoed.
“Who is it?” Tiberius Julius asked with a firm voice.
The one knocking on the door was a servant in the Tiberius family’s house. The man was surprised to hear Tiberius Julius’s commanding tone, as it was uncommon for the young man to speak like that. Normally, he uttered words that sounded uninspired.
“It seems the young master is awake. The family leader is calling for you to meet him in the meeting hall. The young master some uncles are already gathered there,” the servant conveyed to Tiberius Julius.
“All right, Uncle Miller! I’ll be there shortly to meet them,” Tiberius Julius replied from inside the room.
Tiberius Julius’s personal servant, Miller, furrowed his brow at his young master’s behavior. It was unusual for him to be addressed as “uncle” by the young man. Typically, the man in his forties, used coarse terms when referring to people, almost treating them like animals. But this was the first time he had been called by his own name.
With a puzzled expression and a somewhat pleased feeling, Miller left Tiberius Julius’s room. Meanwhile, Tiberius Julius was washing himself inside the room, using the provided bath. After he tidied up and put on his clothes, the young man headed from his room to the meeting hall. There, he saw many family members gathered.
“Respects to the leader and uncles!” Tiberius Julius exclaimed, bowing to the elders present.
Tiberius Julius’s actions puzzled the elders and even the family leader a bit. It was unlike him to behave politely as he had just demonstrated. Usually, during family meetings, he acted according to his whims. Nevertheless, no one from the family, not even the leader, took any action to reprimand him. The Tiberius family’s only hope was in him, and they didn’t want Tiberius Julius to run away and bring shame to the family.
“How are you, Julius?” the family leader, Tiberius Achilles, asked his grandson.
“I’m getting better,” Julius replied briefly.
“Very well, then sit next to me here,” Tiberius Achilles, the family leader, said, patting the empty chair beside him.
Julius complied with his grandfather’s suggestion. He walked towards the chair next to the family leader and took a seat, observing his surroundings while adjusting the knowledge and memories in his head.
Fundamentally, Tiberius Julius’s condition was more like that of a Light God in terms of soul and memory. Only his physical body belonged entirely to Tiberius Julius. Thus, it could be said that Tiberius Julius was currently a Light God reincarnated in his own body. However, this reincarnation was not in the process of birth but rather a resurrection from death. That’s why Tiberius Julius had to make many adjustments because he was, essentially, a reincarnated Light God.
“Listen, all of you! Our battle with the Starfall family will take place in a month. Considering our current situation, it seems the leadership of the city will be handed over to them. This is because on our side, both the older and younger generations who will represent the family in the fight lack the high abilities to face them. So, I have decided that instead of being embarrassed in the fight, it’s better to directly hand over the power to them, stating that we feel we have led the city for too long and want to take turns with them,” Tiberius Achilles announced.
“Leader, I disagree!”
Upon hearing Tiberius Achilles’s statement, the entire Tiberius family erupted in commotion. Many among them disagreed with the decision made by their elder. Even Maxlin immediately expressed his disagreement, standing up from his seat in protest against the decision made by his family’s leader.
“Do you have a solution, Maxlin? Do you have a way to prevent our family from being disgraced in public later? In the older generation, I am the only one who has reached the seventh level of the heavenly spiritual realm, but as the family leader, I cannot directly intervene as a fighter. Meanwhile, in the younger generation, there is no one we can rely on. All your children are girls, except for Tiberius Williams Lee’s son, this Tiberius Julius. But you know well enough about his abilities, don’t you?” Tiberius Achilles snapped, appearing increasingly angry.
The leader of the Tiberius family was genuinely angry at the children and nephews who protested against his decision. While his own siblings from the older generation dared not utter a word. Indeed, the situation facing the Tiberius family was genuinely serious. If they forced themselves into the battle, it was certain that they would be defeated soundly. Such an event would undoubtedly become the talk of the town, tarnishing their once great reputation.
Everyone fell silent upon hearing Tiberius Achilles’s angry words. For now, none of them had a solution to the problem their family was facing. They acknowledged what the family leader had said – that their family had currently lost its talented individuals. Even the one person expected to be the successor to the Tiberius family had disappeared without a trace.
That person was Tiberius Williams Lee, the biological father of Tiberius Julius. Among the Tiberius family, he was the only one who had reached the ninth level of the heavenly spiritual realm. However, for ten years, there had been no news of Tiberius Julius’s father; he seemed to have vanished from the face of the earth. He disappeared after the murder of his wife by an unknown assailant, and the identity of the perpetrator remained unknown to this day. Many speculated that Tiberius Williams Lee was seeking the murderer of his wife.
“If you insist, I’ll give you a chance three weeks from now to find the best solution for our family. If, within three weeks, you still haven’t found a way, then you must abide by all my decisions,” Tiberius Achilles concluded the discussion.
Then, the leader of the Tiberius family instructed Tiberius Julius to follow him to the back of the main house. Without many questions, Julius followed his grandfather’s command. He didn’t know what his family leader wanted to discuss, but he continued to follow the footsteps of the elder towards the backyard. Once there, Tiberius Achilles immediately took a seat in a garden chair, while Julius knelt in front of him.
“Julius, forgive me, your grandfather cannot make you a great Cultivator in this city. Despite being the only genius child of the Tiberius family to have reached the ninth level of the Heavenly Realm. Maybe your father’s talent has passed on to you, but we couldn’t teach you better, so you only have abilities like this,” Tiberius Achilles whispered to his grandson.“I don’t blame you, Grandpa. Maybe I’m just not talented enough,” Tiberius Julius replied, trying to reassure his saddened grandfather.Tiberius Achilles took a deep breath. Then, he pulled something from under his clothes. It turned out to be a book, which he handed over to Tiberius Julius. The young man slowly accepted the book handed to him by his grandfather.“What is this, Grandpa?” Julius asked.“It is a family heirloom book passed down through generations in the Tiberius family. The book guides those who study it to the level of the Spiritual Realm and even to the realm of Semi-Fairies. However, no one in our family
In truth, Miller least wanted to accompany his young master for a stroll around the city where they lived. This was because fights often broke out whenever the young master left the house, even if it was just around their residential area. The young man with the full name Tiberius Julius was notorious for causing trouble in the city. Many residents and cultivators in the city did not like him. However, this time, it seemed that Miller couldn’t refuse his master’s request. After a while of getting ready, Julius emerged from his room. He then invited Uncle Miller to go out of the house and walk around the city on foot. Just a few houses into their journey, Julius was met with disdainful glares from the residents. Several people chose to go in the opposite direction rather than cross paths with Tiberius Julius.“Why do they treat me like this, Uncle Miller? Have I wronged them?” Tiberius Julius asked Miller.Miller’s face changed dramatically. He couldn’t reveal what had actually happene
Smith Gigo’s attack directly hit the shield created by the finger of Tiberius Julius’s hand. The shield formed a bright white light. The brilliance of the shield made Smith Gigo’s almost three-quarters of the deployed attack disappear instantly. The attack was like a drop of water hitting the ocean, leaving no trace.Experiencing this event, Smith Gigo was truly surprised. He did not expect that his launched attack could be blocked by Tiberius Julius. In fact, Smith Gigo had no idea what technique Tiberius Julius used. He had never seen the Tiberius family use a technique that could summon a shield in the form of that light. It wasn’t just Tiberius Julius who made Smith Gigo appear shaken. Even Smith Gigo’s assistants were intimidated by the young master of the Tiberius family. They never expected that the young master of the Tiberius family could defeat their leader. Being mostly low-level cultivators, they could gauge the power possessed by Tiberius Julius. They guessed that Tiberiu
“Excellent, Julius! I really admire your spirit, my grandson. I am confident that you will truly revive the glory of the Tiberius family. There will be no one daring to insult our family anymore. Even the royal palace would think twice before oppressing us,” the leader of the Tiberius family exclaimed to his grandson while patting his shoulder. The leader of the Tiberius family had indeed sensed a significant change in Julius since his fall into the abyss. However, he welcomed this change because his grandson’s previously unruly behavior had done a complete 180° turn. He had great expectations for his beloved grandson to restore the prestigious name of the Tiberius family. The elder even hoped that Julius would follow in his father’s footsteps as a genius of the Tiberius family, although he occasionally realized that his grandson was not a remarkable cultivator like his father. It wasn’t just the leader of the Tiberius family who appreciated the change in Tiberius Julius. Uncle Miller
“Julius, I want you to go to the Tower of the Gods Academy to study there. Only there can you develop your talents into the strongest cultivator. Here, your grandfather and uncles cannot provide much guidance for you to thrive.”Tiberius Achilles seemed visibly burdened delivering the words just now. He didn’t really want to part with his beloved grandson. However, observing the recent progress in Julius’s talents, Tiberius Achilles felt that the child deserved to receive a better cultivation education than what he could get in their current family. He and his other children agreed to send their grandson to the Tower of the Gods Academy, a renowned martial arts school in their country.“If I go, what about the competition to determine which family becomes the leader of this city? In our family, I am the only son, while the other children of my age are all daughters,” Julius replied with a question that made everyone bow their heads, including his grandfather as the leader of the Tiber
For a moment, the two opponents stared at each other. They had no idea that their attacks could be easily avoided by Julius. The attackers themselves were unaware that Julius, as the God of Light, possessed the ability to stop time. Although he could only slow it down at the moment, it was enough to evade their strikes.Julius’s actions truly astonished the two assailants. Apart from the surprise of discovering that Julius was in the second-level Earth Peak Realm, the speed at which Julius dodged their attacks defied their understanding. It was impossible for someone like Julius’s current level to have such an unseen speed, considering that both of their powers far exceeded Julius’s.“Who are you? Why attack me? If you are truly brave, don’t hide your faces. Let’s fight to the bitter end until one of us falls,” Julius challenged his enemies. It seemed that both of them paid no heed to Julius’s words. Instead, they increased their strength even further. Determined to eliminate Julius,
“You may enter directly!” the guard said.Julius looked puzzled. Unlike others who had to pass through two trial stones first, he was now directly invited to enter. After a moment of silence, Julius moved away from the guard towards the entrance.“Wait! Although he has a special recommendation letter from someone, he still needs to undergo the examination of the rough body level and the purity of the soul he possesses.”A loud shout was heard, causing Julius to reconsider stepping into the academy. A man dressed entirely in white, with white hair, emerged from inside. The face of the old man, around 60 years old, looked menacing and full of authority. Seeing the person approaching the entrance gate of the Tower of the Gods Academy, everyone immediately stood, facing the old man.“Respect to the Vice Chairman of the Tower of the Gods, may the headmaster live long!” the Tower of the Gods students shouted simultaneously.“Rise, all of you, and continue your task of selecting potential in
Aware of his mistake in entering without greeting, Tiberius Li Julius turned around and bowed in respect to the senior student who had just reprimanded him. However, it seemed that the senior student intended to pick a fight with Tiberius Li Julius. After the young man turned around and bowed, he received a kick from his senior in the same tower group, causing him to fall to the ground. The incident made everyone present burst into laughter, except for another young man with slightly darker skin. This young man was in the same group as Julius and belonged to the same batch. He was the young master from the Blackthorn Family, hailing from the city of Azure Peak in the east. His name was Galen Blackthorn, a young man around 17 years old. He disliked seeing others oppressed in front of him. Galen Blackthorn, with his sturdy and tall figure and dark skin, immediately approached Julius and helped him up.As Julius got up, he raised his head and stared sharply at the seniors who were at the
