Chapter 22-Battered

When the door to Torres' room was opened by Diablo, Jacob was tense. The man who always wore a cold face gave Jacob a sharp look as he entered, accompanied by his son. Diablo closed the door, where this time Carol's husband would join the conversation. With a wave of his hand, Torres invited Jacob to sit down. Jacob sat down on the long sofa, while Diablo sat on a separate sofa.

“You were looking for me, Mr. Torres?” Jacob asked politely.

“Hector and Kendrick came to see you,” he said, and Jacob nodded in acknowledgement. “You even gave me some advice,” he continued, causing Diablo's face to tighten, but not Jacob's.

“Yes, that's right. I think your decision to fire Jessica and the other employees who attended Rodriguez's son's party was a mistake,” Jacob replied, confirming his statement.

“Who do you think you are? How dare you tell my father what to do!” snapped Diablo angrily.
