Everyone stared at Jacob intently, waiting for his decision. To stay, or to leave. Ewald's heart was beating fast. The old man could not hide his anxiety if the heir decided to leave. Suddenly, he stood up.

“I'd rather go than you, Mr. Wyatt. You are the only successor to the Rodriguez family. I am only a servant. Without me, the company and the ranks under you would still be running. I accept early retirement with a big heart,” he said with a smile, but to everyone's surprise.

“I refuse your request for retirement. I still want to trouble you every second of the day,” Jacob said, which brought smiles to everyone's faces, but Ewald's face went pale. “I love you, Ewald. You're as precious as my life. So, sit down and let me think,” he added.

Ewald smiled and sat back down. Jacob stared at the wooden table with sharp eyes, then his gaze returned to the people around him.

“I chose to stay. I have to finish everything. Even though I'm not as great as the seniors in the Big 10,” he said
