Extreme Casualties

"What's up? You good? You seemed out of it just a moment ago, so I was just checking up on you." Jason looked them straight in the eyes, or at the helmet and inquired. 'Something's up. Is it my words? Or my actions?' He thought with a frown.

His gaze was intense, and his frown prominent. Number two faltered at the pressure, and blurted out words within their mind.

「I... it's just... I cannot... I... can't... The Apocalypse... It–」

"Jason!! Whats the current status of our situation?" Joe arrived in a rush, Adolf on his back as always, still unconscious. "Hm? So far, so good. But I think we need to leave as soon as possible." Jason responded.

"I agree. This place isn't safe, but... do you think we have the capability to outrun this disaster? Or is it a dead end?" Joe further asked, remembering the mist that chased them for miles on end.

"...I'm not sure, but this time around, we aren't against the unknown. We know full well what awaits us when we are caught within this disaster."
