The Beacon Clinic was ablaze with lights. Several luxury cars were parked outside; almost everyone in the Kane family was there.

The provincial capital hospital had already classified Watson’s food poisoning case as critical. The chief doctor had simply explained that the toxins had already circulated through his body and that conventional medicine could no longer help him.
