Allegra’s face drained of all its blood immediately. She staggered backward.

The entire crowd started to fuss and talk among themselves. Everyone looked at Allegra in shock; they couldn’t believe that such a pretty woman used to be a janitor.

Andrew raised his hand and shouted, “I’m Allegra Booth’s brother, Andrew Booth, and I can confirm that she used to be a janitor. She’s specifically in charge of scrubbing the toilet bowls. She has completely zero knowledge of managing a company! If you work under her, I can promise that this company will no doubt go bankrupt within six months!”

The jobseekers threw a louder, hissier fit when they heard that. They were angry, and some of them even got up to leave.

After all, those who came looking for a job were degree holders, at the very least. Who in their right mind would want to work for a janitor?

Allegra stood on the podium and yelled, “Wait, don’t leave! I’m sure that I can manage this company well. Listen to me first!”
